Equestria's Demise

"What a beautiful day, isn't it, Luna?" Princess Celestia said.

"I suppose," Luna replied. "Wait, what's that!" she shouted as she saw an asteroid hurdling towards Canterlot.

"EVERYPONY, RUN!!!" Celestia, along with all of Canterlot, panicked.

At around the same time, Mayor Mare saw the asteroid. She issued almost the same reaction to the sight as Celestia had.

"Oh, what do I do? What do I do?" Twilight worried. The rest of Ponyville was panicking, as Canterlot did. Soon, all of town was staring at the flaming Canterlot. Something must be done.

Fire spread throughout Canterlot. There was no hope for that wealthy, royal city.

A few minutes later, with the castle in ruins, ash in the air, one royal guard, who had been hiding in the ruble, started roaming the castle. Soon, he saw the two sisters, not moving, not breathing. The guard then realized the fate that befell the Royal Sisters.

"THE PRINCESSES HAVE FALLEN!! THE PRINCESSES HAVE FALLEN!!!"

Word soon reached all over Equestria in a matter of days.

A day, or what seemed like a day later as the sun and moon were both raised, Mayor Mare held a public announcement. All of Ponyville had gathered, The Mane 6, The Cakes, The Apple Family, everypony was standing there, waiting.

"Listen up everypony! Word has reached Ponyville that the Two Royal Sisters have met their death. Now, according to Equestrian Law, a new ruler shall be chosen."

"And, this new ruler will be..." Twilight was nervous knowing she could become the new ruler, as she was a princess, now.

"...PRINCESS CADENCE!!!"
