Applejack's Aftermath

As she went through the orchard bucking tree after tree with her twin colts and her husband, she wondered to herself: How could I forget him when he was so close? I know I formed a family, but it's no reason for forgetting Spike. I thought he would be with Rarity, but she chose that no-good stallion instead. Too bad Fancy cheated on her, but she deserved it for not seeing what was in front of her. Spike couldn't do much since Twilight left for Canterlot, and somepony had to keep the library running. After staying still for a couple of seconds, Apple Slice asked:

"What's wrong mom?"

"Nothing, I was just thinking a bit. Come on, let's go have some dinner," Applejack answered.

At that moment, she thought she saw something moving between the trees, but she quickly shrugged it off. Little would she know that she was being chosen for an evil plan...

Der Faust's Journal Entry 002

I nearly defeated Chazz Princeton in a duel, however the guards were getting close and I had to run. Alexis was there to tell me in the nick of time, and now I wonder: what will happen now? Will I do well here? Will I ever find love? Besides, my Welcoming Dinner was pretty interesting to say the least:

Slifer Red Cafeteria

"Hello everybody, I am Professor Banner!" a slim man announced.

"Now, before we begin our dinner, let's talk a bit about ourselves and also an anecdote that we like," Banner continuned.

The Slifer students started doing this until it was Spike's turn. He said the following:

"It began while I was running away in Domino City. I was going to my entrance exam while being followed by a group of bullies. I kept on running until I crashed into a man by the name of Yugi Muto," Spike said.

Many of the Slifers were surprised, because well, who wouldn't be surprised when hearing Yugi's Name?

"He asked me if I was Duelist, and I said yes. At that moment, he gave me two cards, and my favorite is the following..."

The other Slifers asked themselves which card of the many Yugi had in his unique deck. That question was answered when Spike raised the following card:

"Wow!" the other Slifers exclaimed.

Things like these will have to wait for later, I have to go to class.

"Duel Monster Cards can be grouped into Normal Monster Cards, Fusion Monster Cards, Ritual Monster Cards and Effect Monster Cards, Trap Cards and Spell Cards. Trap Cards can be divided into Normal Traps, Counter Traps and Continuous Traps. Spell Cards can be separated into Normal Spells, Continuous Spells, Equip Spells, Quick Play Spells, Ritual Spells and Field Spells," Alexis explained.

"Perfect, I expected nothing less from an Obelisk Blue," Crowler congratulated.

"Thank you Dr. Crowler," Alexis answered.

"Now, let's see... Syrus Truesdale, explain Field Spells!" Crowler said. Syrus Truesdale was a kid who was a tad shy and looked a bit like this:

"You see, Field Spells are, hehe, ummm, the thing that affects the other thing!" Syrus said, due to his nerves.

"I'm afraid not Truesdale, take a seat."

"That's what you get for being a Slifer Slacker!" an Obelisk Blue yelled. At that moment, many of the Obelisks began to laugh.

"Now, anyone who could define Field Spells, and isn't wearing Red?" Crowler asked.

Poor kid, reminds me of Fluttershy, Spike thought. I have to do something about it...

"Hold it Crowler!" Spike exclaimed. "Let me invalidate your statement with a couple of questions: the first question is... 'How do we all get here?'"

"By dueling and defeating our entrance opponent you dork," an Obelisk Blue.

"Good, that kid deserves a cookie. Now, the second question is 'Who did I defeat in order to pass my entrance exam?'"

"Uh, hehe..." Crowler muttered.

"That's right, I, Spike Der Faust, freshman of the Slifer Red dorm, defeated you Dr. Vellian Crowler! So, whenever you insult a Slifer Red, I'll say the following: 'Same to you, with cards!"

The Obelisks stood silent, and the Slifers looked at Spike with respect. As Spike stood with a triumphant smirk on his face, Dr. Crowler was VERY mad.

"I won't tolerate him anymore!" Crowler yelled in his room. "Wait, I've got it!"

At that moment he got an envelope and started writing on a piece of paper. After a couple of minutes, he folded the piece of paper and put it inside the envelope. He then closed the envelope and proceeded to paint his lips with a red lipstick. He put a kiss mark as the seal for the letter.

"I can imagine it: Spike will go to the Obelisk Blue Girls' Dorm at night, expecting Alexis to be there. Then I will take a picture of him from a bush, slide it under the Chancellor's Office door tomorrow, he'll find it and then he'll expel Spike! Hahahahaha!!!!!"

Meanwhile at the School Gymnasium...

Spike, along with several other students, stood in their sport uniforms, waiting for their teacher. A couple of minutes passed until a fit lady that had red hair (scarlet perhaps?) that was in a sports uniform. She looked like this:

"Hello, my name is Fonda Fontaine, I am your Gym Teacher and also your School Nurse," she said.

Meanwhile in the Boys' Locker Room, Syrus was changing in a rush, since he accidentally entered the Girls' Locker Room a while ago.

"Huh, who is using my locker?" Syrus asked to himself, as he saw another set of clothes and shoes in his locker. That set of clothes and shoes was Spike's, but what caught his attention was the letter that was on top of the clothes. That letter was the one Dr. Vellian Crowler had made for Spike. On it said:

Dear Spike,

Meet me outside of the Obelisk Girls' Dorm tonight.

But... as an average boy who doesn't pay attention to details, he didn't read the "Dear Spike" part. The day passed by until nighttime came by.

Spike walked on a small trail that led through the forest, thinking about what had happened to him recently. However, his mind went back to only one thing: Alexis Rhodes. Why am I constantly thinking about her? Am I acting like a lovesick freak? Is there such thing as love at first sight? Could she be the one I was looking for all this time? What if she isn't? I think I'm rushing in, after all, I come from a different dimension, I'm unfamiliar with love, and I highly doubt that anyone has feelings for me, being that nearly no one knows me. However, despite dying alone, resurrecting, and facing several challenges in order to reach today, I'm calm, at ease, and in a long time, happy. Spike then took out his "Dark Magician Girl" card and looked at it for a while. He saw her smile, and he asked:

"What do you think all of this is about? In fact, I don't even know why I'm asking you if you can't hear me."

Suddenly, a faint wind could be heard and felt, and from nowhere, the Dark Magician Girl's spirit could be seen.

"Hello Spike," she said.

Spike was surprised, he never expected her to appear. Sadly, fate had it that a group of Obelisk Blues, with Chazz in the lead, spotted him, but couldn't see her.

"Get that slacker!" Chazz ordered.

"There goes my peaceful walk," Spike said out loud, while he began running.

(End music.)

In front of the Obelisk Blue Girls' Dorm

Crowler was ready, in a ninja suit, and with a camera in his hands.

"It's time, I can't wait!" Crowler said in excitement. What he didn't expect was a short Slifer Red by the name of Syrus to appear instead.

"What is he doing here?!?!" Crowler exclaimed, which would cost him his hiding spot.

"Ahh, a boy!" a female Obelisk Blue exclaimed. They started throwing stuff at Crowler while he exclaimed:

"I'm not a boy, I'm a man!" A pregnant period of silence stood until the girls yelled:

"AHH, A MAN!!!" The things that were thrown were more frequent, but a certain eatable was thrown at his face, sending him to the water.

"PUNCAKE!" A strange girl had yelled when throwing it to his face.

However, a group of girls surronded Syrus and tied his hands up.

Meanwhile in the Obelisk Blue Girls' Jacuzzi...

"So, about that green-haired boy in class, I think he was very disrespectful," a teen by the name of Jasmine said.

"I think he's cute," Mindy answered.

"You think everybody's cute Mindy," Jasmine replied. "What about you Alexis, what is your opinion about this new kid?"

Alexis had her eyes closed, thinking about the short time she had spent with him, from meeting him, to the time he stood up for his fellow Slifer Red classmates. She found him cute in a sense, but her thoughts were interrupted by Jasmine.

"What happened?" Alexis asked.

"You weren't thinking about him, were you?"

"Umm, no! I just found it impressive that he stood up for those Slifers." Things were calm until a group of Obelisk girls appeared with Syrus as their prisoner.

Back to the forest, Spike took to running through the trees, jumping from branch to branch. He had practiced this many years ago, however, a Tarzan-like yell disturbed him, making him lose his footage, and falling to the ground.  Little did he know that he had fallen in the enemy lines, for the only thing he could see were the figures of several girls: they wore white and blue.

Several minutes later...

"Ugh, where am I?" Spike asked, regaining consciousness.

"In the Obelisk Blue Girls' Dorm," Jasmine answered.

"I think I'll leave so we can all forget about this."

"I don't think so," Alexis said.

"Why?" he asked.

"Because I challenge you to a duel for your freedom!"

"Really?"

"There's more: bring him girls." A group of girls came in with Syrus tied up.

"The rules are simple: you win, and he is also free. But if I win, you two will be taken to Security, and that means being expelled," she finished.

"If I have to fight my way out of here, I'll do so," Spike answered.

They both readied their Duel Disks. Meanwhile, the girls from the dorm stood there, waiting for his judgement to begin.

"Get him Alexis!" Jasmine yelled. Then, both Alexis and Spike yelled:

"Game On!"

"Ladies first," Alexis said, while seeing her cards.

1. Alexis

"Alright, I'll put a face-down, then I'll play Etoile Cyber in Defense Mode!"

"I'll end my turn."

1. Spike

"Alright, my move." Okay, I can save Monster Reborn and Hysteric Party for later. Right now, I can play my Harpie.

"I'll set a face-down, then I'll summon Harpie Lady 3 in Attack Mode! That'll do for now."

1. Alexis.

She drew "Spell Shield Type-8", then set it to end her turn.

1. Spike

"Sweet," Spike said, as he drew a good card. "Okey, I'll activate Elegant Egotist!"

"Not if I can do something about it, I'll activate my Trap, Spell Shield Type-8!"

"By discarding a Spell Card from my hand to the Graveyard, I can negate the activation of a Spell card, and destroy it!"

"There goes my power..." Spike muttered. "I'll play Flying Kamakiri #1 in Attack Mode to end my turn."

1. Alexis

"My move, and I couldn't have gotten a better draw right now. I'll sacrifice my Etoile Cyber to bring out my Cyber Prima, and I'll equip her with Angel Wing!"

"Now Cyber Prima, attack that Harpie!" The Cyber Prima flew to the Harpie, and sliced her in half, making her turn to shards.

"Despite the pain I'm feeling after you destroyed my Harpie, your Cyber Prima won't be able to attack for your next 2 turns."

"I'll end my turn."

Spike: 2700 - Alexis: 4000

1. Spike

He drew "Incandescent Ordeal", and then said:

"I'll summon- hey, what's going on?!" Several girls were tying him up to a pillar.

"Every time you lose Life Points, more of your body will be tied up," Alexis answered.

"Alright, I'll summon Harpie Girl in Defense Mode to end my turn."

1. Alexis

She drew "Cyber Tutu", and then said the following:

"I'll summon Cyber Tutu in Attack Mode!"

"Now Cyber Tutu, attack that Harpie Girl!" The Cyber Tutu spun until destroying the Harpie.

"That's it for now."

1. Spike

Spike drew his next card, and it was Sonic Duck, that is until...

"Why is there ruckus out here?!" Fonda asked, coming out of her bedroom.

"You see, these Slifers trespassed into our dorm, so we found it tempting for him *points at Spike* to duel for his and the other kid's *points at Syrus* freedom, or else we would take them to Security so they could be expelled."

Fonda stayed quiet, until she said:

"I'm mad at all of you..." The stuents looked at her with a hint of worry on their faces.

"... for not telling me, of course! Continue the duel, my bets are on the green-haired boy! By the way, what's his name?"

"He's a such Spike Der Faust, no one really knows where he's from. What we've observed is that he uses a Harpie Deck, which is really strange for a boy his age," Jasmine answered.

"This kid must be a quick thinker, for Harpies are designed to quickly swarm and strike."

"Alright, I'll play Sonic Duck in Attack Mode!"

"Now Sonic Duck, destroy that Cyber Tutu!" The duck ran so fast that no one could see it destroy the ballerina. "I'll end my turn for now."

Spike: 2700 - Alexis: 3300

1. Alexis

She drew Fusion Gate, then set it face-down on the field.

1. Spike

"Alright, I'll activate the card I just drew, Harpie's Brother in Defense Mode, to end my turn."

1. Alexis

"Excellent," Alexis said to herself, while she saw her draw.

"Let's make things faster, I'll summon Cyber Gymnast in Attack Mode!"

"I'll then activate its effect: by discarding a card, I can destroy a face-up Attack Mode monster you have."

"I have no monstrs in Attack Mode," Spike answered.

"Are you sure? I'll activate Stop Defense!"

"I choose your Harpie's Brother for the effect of both my Stop Defense and my Cyber Gymnast!"

Spike saw as his Harpie's Brother was switched to Attack Mode, only to be destroyed by Cyber Gymnast's effect.

"Now Cyber Gymnast, attack that Sonic Duck!" Once more, Cyber Gymnast destroyed another monster in the same turn.

"Cyber Prima, end what's left of his monsters!" This time, the Kamakiri was the target of Prima's attack.

"Good, now my Kamakiri's effect activates. When it's destroyed, I can Special Summon a WIND monster with 1500 or less Attack," Spike said. "This time, I choose Harpie Lady 1!"

"I'll end my turn." Alexis finished.

1. Spike

"Face it Spike, you won't make it out of here," Alexis said.

"It all depends on the next draw Alexis," Spike answered. "Here we go!" He draws "Harpie Queen".

"You know Alexis? I think I've won," Spike said, surprising the crowd.

"What do you mean?" Alexis asked.

"Remember when I faced Chazz? I think I had a Déjà vu, for as a good old lizard by the name of Rango said, 'it only takes one bullet'. In this case, I'm the gunner, the field is my pistol, and my deck is my ammunition, and I got just the right bullet. First I'll discard my Harpie Queen in order to add one 'Harpies' Hunting Ground' from my deck to my hand. Then, I'll activate Monster Reborn to bring back my Harpie Girl!"

"Then, I'll use my face-down, Hysteric Party, but not before activating Harpies' Hunting Ground!"

"Now I can bring back Harpie Lady 3 and Harpie Queen!"

"Due to the effects of Harpie Lady 1 and my Field Spell, my Harpie Ladies 1 & 3 now have 1800 Attack Points while my Harpie Queen has 2400, which is enough to destroy your Cyber Prima. Go Harpie Queen, show that Prima how things are done here!" The Queen lunged towards Prima and destroyed her.

"Harpie Lady 3, attack that Gymnast!" Just as the Queen did, Harpie Lady 3 lunged towards her opponent and destroyed her.

"Harpie Lady 1 and Harpie Girl, attack directly!" At the same time, both of them flew towards Alexis and swiped her once, making her lose her Life Points.

"That's the way a duel is won!" Spike said, with a hint of pride in his tone. At that moment, he was untied, and Syrus had already left, so he ran towards Alexis, who had fallen to her knees due to the swipes. "Hey, let me help you up."

"But I lost..." Alexis said.

"Not for me, you proved yourself, and I must say that you are like a Harpie: beautiful, yet deadly. The way you duelled impressed me, and I would like to duel you again some other time," Spike finished. "If you'll excuse me, I have to go before I get caught." At that moment, Spike ran out the door, leaving Alexis and the other Obelisk girls impressed. With their own eyes, they saw how a Slifer Red defeated an Obelisk Blue... again.

Meanwhile in New Domino City...

"Hey Crow, Jack, have any of you seen my Sonic Chick card? I think it disappeared!"

"At least it isn't your Stardust Dragon," Jack Atlas said.

"Or some other Synchro," Crow added.

Out of nowhere, a light glowed in the middle of the room they stood in, and from that light emerged a card; that card was Sonic Chick.
