Yeltsin, Pinkie, and the Long Road to Petersburg

Nobody believed the Russian president's wild stories about his encounter with talking ponies. Instead, they took him to a mental hospital. Now, the communists are hours away from publicizing the ordeal to get Boris Yeltsin impeached on the grounds of insanity.

As if the situation wasn't already sufficiently screwed up, it goes from bad to worse. Fighting to stay awake with an inordinate number of low-quality energy drinks, Yeltsin embarks on a clandestine, cross-country drive in a Russian clunker with Pinkie Pie and friends. Their destination? The communist party offices in Saint Petersburg. Their objectives? Get the ponies back to Equestria while simultaneously saving what remains of Yeltsin's abysmal political career.

(Note: I suppose that you don't necessarily HAVE to read the prequel to follow this story, but it fills in a lot of gaps.)
