At the same time, the settlement of the Crystal Empire as the dominant reign in the aforetime Equestrian continent, and its rising to undisputed power even by their sisters of the Three Tribes has been an undeniable proof that the equine race can overcome whatever obstacle it may encounter…

What happened between these two formidable opponents?

No one knows, and perhaps will never be able to tell for sure anymore. What's known for sure is that, in the height of their might, these two races suddenly clashed in what would be catalogued the Pony-Noctees war. A thousand years long conflict that shattered as deeply the Crystal Empire as it did with the Noctees families.

Now, after a thousand years, the Noctees have finally got the upper hoof in the war, and are ready, amongst facing other threats, to vanquish once and for all their millenary enemies. The Crystal Empire, desperate, sends its messenger to request the help of any disposable ally that would still care about their fallen-from-grace neighbor. And just when all seemed lost only the Three Tribes answered the call…

This is a story of the last stages of a forgotten conflict that reshaped the fate of the world.
