Not Fazed

John just stood there, staring at the ponies, which were more likely guards, judging by their golden armor and their forceful voices, but, guards or not, they didn't really look that threatening, sure their swords were made of pure steel, but their body size was a different story, John had to look down at the guards, they were about half his height, he could easily hurt them, but he didn't, why be a dangerous beast in a place with MAGIC, the same type of magic that saved him from his doom of falling by that damned Rainbow pony, so, not having none of it, John just turned from the guards, and walked toward the exit of town, back to the forest, the guards didn't seem to like that decision,

"HEY, where do you think your going, get back here!" exclaimed a guard, but John didn't stop, he just kept walking, he then heard Twilight say,

"Would you just leave him alone, he isn't dangerous." she said, the guard just chuckled,

"That's for the princesses to decide." he replied, John stopped dead in his tracks, he began to think, that if Twilight could easily bring him down to earth with HER magic, then imagine what the princesses could do, that is, if they were unicorns, a human princess has much power, so if a unicorn princess, let alone two, took the term 'much power' literally, she MUST have the ability to get him home, so, slowly but surely, John turned himself around so that he was facing the guards, and began to walk forward, the guards noticed this, and they began to smile, one of them said,

"Oh, look who finally decided to listen, now, get in, and NO funny business, or we WILL hurt you!" he exclaimed, opening up the carriage door for him and the other seven, once they were all in, the guards began to take flight, and in seconds, they were flying toward a dark outline, which looked like the outline of a castle.

John looked over the door of the carriage, and saw that they were super high up, if he were to jump out, he could kiss his life goodbye, he just shook that thought of falling from THIS height out of his head, and looked back inside of the carriage, and saw what the others were doing, Twilight was reading a book, Applejack was talking to a bored looking Rarity, Spike was writing down stuff that Twilight was telling him, Pinkie Pie had been excitedly talking to the frightened looking Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash just kept staring at him, like at any moment he would start to strangle somebody, John just shook his head and sighed, he then bent down, picked up his backpack, pulled out an apple and his iPod with headphones, put the headphones on, and hit play on his iPod, this seemed to make Rainbow Dash more interested,

"Hey, what is that?" she asked, but John couldn't here her, he was to busy listening to his music, and every now and then biting into his apple, "HEY, I asked you a question." she said more sternly, but John STILL couldn't here her, in fact, John didn't even think his music was loud enough, and fixed the volume, "Oh, the old silent treatment, eh, I can play that game to." she said, crossing her front hooves and turning her head in the opposite direction . . . but that only lasted for a few seconds, as she quickly turned her head around, and groaned, "Ugh, I can't, please just tell me, I WANT TO KNOW!" she exclaimed, all of a sudden, a guard called back,

"We're here!" which to Rainbow Dash's shock, John gave a nod, before taking off the weird thing over his head, and put it back into his bag, she then gave another groan,

"OH, so you listen to him!?" which John responded by just staring at her for a few seconds, before shaking his head, and pulling his bag onto his back, after a few seconds, they finally landed near a huge wooden draw bride, that was sitting above a moat with a couple of lily pads in it, he then heard a sound which sounded like a metal gate opening, his suspicions were right as he saw a metal gate start to rise, then, two guards trotted outside of the castle, and motioned them to follow, they obliged, and followed.

The castle had three stair cases, one was on the left of the castle near a hallway, and there was one on the right near another hallway, but the third was in the middle of the castle, it was the size of the other two combined, this one wasn't next to hallways, this also seemed to be where they were supposed to go, this staircase had a red carpet going up it unlike the other two, which were just white staircases, after following the two guards up the flight of stairs, they came to a set of giant double doors, which were opened by ponies on the other side, on the other side was a long hallway, that had windows, with detailed art into it, one was what looked like the two princesses, or what he thought were the princesses, were circling around a dragon like creature with a shocked expression on its face, and another with . . . what looked like the six ponies he was with, shooting powerful beams at a large pony which seemed to look a bit like one of the princesses in the dragon one, John tapped on Twilight's back, and pointed to the glasses art, she looked at them, and smiled,

"Oh, those, they are special pieces of art, that indicate important parts of this part of time, and by 'this part of time,' I mean, for as long as the princesses lived, this one is where they fought and won in the battle against, the God of Chaos, Discord, one thousand years ago," she said proudly, John was surprised, one thousand years ago, the princesses were alive, "and this is where me, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy, returned Nightmare Moon back into her former self, princess Luna with the help of the Elements of Harmo-" Twilight was cut off as Rainbow Dash covered Twilight's mouth with her hoof,

"Shhhhhhh, Twilight, don't tell him about the Elements, he might try to steal them." she exclaimed in a whisper, loud enough for John to hear, who just shook his head and sighed, Twilight just glared at her, John looked at the art, and noticed different marks on their . . . flanks?

John looked back at Twilight, and looked at the side of her flank, sure enough, there it was, the mark, John tapped her again, and pointed at her mark, she smiled,

"Oh, that's my cutie mark." she said, John just stared blankly at her, her eyes widened, "You mean you DON'T know what a cutie mark is?" shed asked, he shook his head, the other girls gasped, Rainbow Dash groaned,

"How do you NOT know what a cutie mark is, do you even have one?" she asked, he shook his head again, Twilight then said,

"A cutie mark is a special mark that a filly gets when they discover their special talent, so, how do you know what your special talent is?" she asked, he was about to answer, when one of the guards leading them said,

"Come on, don't fall behind." they obliged, and began to walk again.

At the end of the hallway, was another set of double doors, which were also opened on the inside, on the inside, was a throne room, two thrones lay at the end of the room, two of them were about the same size, one was a little bit taller though, occupying the thrones were two giants ponies, one was a white color with green, blue, and pink hair, which seemed to flow on its own without the wind, and . . . she had both horn and wings, and her "cutie mark" was the sun, she was John's height with her horn, but without it, John had to slightly look down on her, while the other was dark blue, had darker blue hair that also seemed to flow on its own, her cutie mark was a moon, and she also had a horn and wings, she was about four inches shorter then the other one, but taller then the guards and the other six ponies he was with, both of the princesses came down from their thrones, and made their way over to the group, the princesses looked down at the six ponies and Spike, they then looked up at the giant creature that was looming over them, with a blank expression on its face, the white one looked back down at the smaller ponies almost too quickly, like she was avoiding the giant humans gaze . . . after a long moment of silence, the white one looked back up at him and smiled,

"Why hello there, I hope that my prized pupil and her friends treated you well." she said, John just stared at her, and looked down at them, all of them had smiles on their faces, except for Rainbow Dash, who looked irritated, John looked back at her, he just nodded, she sighed, "That's good." she said, John turned his gaze over at the smaller princess, who just stared back, with somewhat of a glare, as if trying to scare him from trying anything, he just stared blankly at her for a few seconds before looking back at the white one, she began to introduce herself,

"My name is Princess Celestia, I am the co-ruler of Equestria, I rule alongside with my sister, Princess Luna." she said, gesturing at her sister, John looked back over at "Luna," and Luna did the same, she gave him a friendly smile, before shouting, in what sounded like how people talked many years ago,

"YES, IT IS TRUE, WE ARE INDEED CO-RULER OF THIS HUMBLE COUNTRY, AND WE HOPE THOU ENJOYS THY STAY!" she was so loud, even her sister cringed, but Celestia seemed a bit surprised when she saw that John had never even blinked,

"I do apologize for my sisters loud tone, she has only just changed back a month ago, and she's still trying to get into modern speech, they did tell you about the story, did they?" she asked, he stared at her for a few seconds, before nodding, "That's good." she said, Twilight then spoke up,

"Uh, princess, we would like to ask, who is this?" she asked, Celestia seemed a bit surprised by the question,

"Oh, I almost forgot, Twilight, I have brought you all here today because of him as you all know, well, the reason why he is here, is because, we believe he will be useful, for what will come." she said simply, John was confused, was she the one who brought him here?

"So YOUR the one who brought him here?" Twilight asked, the princess giggled,

"Yes Twilight, I AM the one who brought him here, you see, I have been watching over his world for quite some time, trying to find someone to help with our situation, I was about to give up hope, when I saw him, I have been watching his actions since he was five, though I never got a chance to get his name, his personality is different from other Humans." she said, Twilight seemed interested, so did the others,

"So his species is known as Human, interesting, but wait, what do you mean by different?" Twilight asked.

"I mean, unlike other Humans, he is calm and collective, why do think he never cringed when my dear sister used her "beautiful" voice, or never screamed when the Element of Loyalty picked him up and flew him up 100 ft. into the air?" She asked, Rainbow's face completely pailed,

"You mean, y-you know?" she asked.

"What kind of princess would I be if I didn't know what was going on in the entire town of Ponyville?" Celestia asked, but she continued before Rainbow Dash could answer, "Don't worry, I know you were just looking after your friends." which made Rainbow Dash's color come back, Twilight then cut in,

"So, what your saying is, he has been fearless for his entire life, so if we put him up against a manticore, he wouldn't even flinch?" she asked, the others gasped, and Applejack said,

"Now Twilight, don't get that extreme now." she said, Celestia giggled,

"Yes Twilight, but, you see that bag on his back?" she asked, everyone looked at his back, and sure enough, there was a black and grey backpack,

"Well Twilight, he is a lot like you, he ALWAYS has a plan, he loves to read, and in that backpack, contains stuff you would need to survive, stuff to keep you clean, food, water, even some clothing, he also has all of his supplies he needs for school in there." Celestia said, Twilight's ears perked up at the mention of school, Rainbow then cut in,

"School? How old is he?" she asked.

"His birthday is on the fourteenth of January, which was six months ago, so . . ." Celestia began to think for a second, then continued. "he's eighteen, is this correct?" she asked John, he nodded, Rainbow Dash cheered,

"YES, I'M OLDER THEN HIM!" Applejack cut in,

"Yeah, by one year, and why does it matter that your older?" she asked, Rainbow Dash stuttered around, but couldn't answer,

"Because, uh, um, you see, well, uh . . ." Applejack just tauntingly smiled at her, while Rainbow Dash just crossed her front hooves in front of her as she flew, Twilight went up to John,

"Do you really have everything you need for school?" she asked, he nodded, she then pulled out a quill and some paper, she began to write down some stuff, before looking up at him and smiled,

"Alright, paper?" John pulled out some paper, "Pencil?" he pulled out some pencils, "Glue?" he pulled out bottled glue and a glue stick, "Alright, last one, a list of things you need for school?" he pulled out the list of supplies he needed for school, and Twilight completely dropped her quill and paper, "Y-your right, Princess." she said, Celestia nodded.

"You see, completely prepared, now, for 'the problem' I keep mentioning, this problem, is something from your world . . . I'm sorry, how rude of me, I forgot to ask, what is your name?" Celestia asked.

John just stared at her for a few seconds, he took in a breath . . .

but before could speak, a guard quickly burst in through the door, he looked terrified,

"Sorry to interrupt your highness's, but we have spotted another dragon, this one is far bigger, and more dangerous!" he excliamed, John was confused, a dragon, but wait, ANOTHER dragon, he knew the world had dragons, like Spike, but adult dragons, the princess looked over at the guard,

"How do you know its more dangerous?" she asked, the guard gasped in some breath,

"Its more dangerous because, its heading right for us, and its wide awake!"
