The Spirit of the Apocolypse
Prologue
Load Full StoryNext ChapterLupa appeared in the Canterlot Palace in a poof of small green pine tree shaped air fresheners that you might put in your car. She had a long serpentine body covered in jet black fur, a large black wolf head with triangular eyes, one of which was icy blue, while the other was a deep red, and there were two sleek black horns perched atop her head that curved down until they had straightened back out at her lower jaw, facing forwards. Its tail was long and covered with maroon scales, ending with a gray, four pronged claw. Her right arm was that of a liger, though covered with strange black tattoos. The left arm was that of a dragon, gray scaled and muscular, since opposable thumbs could come in SO useful sometimes. Her left leg was a blue armored digitrade leg with two huge toes, while the right one was a black bull's leg. Her wings were six symmetrical black tendrils of shadow ending in red conical spikes.
After yawning for two minutes straight, she flopped backwards onto a cushion of air, simply floating and curling her tail.
"Brother, it has been to long since we last talked! Still ruling the kingdom? I sure hope so! Sorry about the thing with the air fresheners, I was going for fluffy dice, but they're so simil-" She was interrupted before she could quite begin her divulgence about the similarities of fluffy dice and in-car air fresheners by a stern female.
"WHO ART THEE, AND WHY DOTH THEE INTRUDE UPON THE THRONE ROOM?!" The voice boomed, dizzying Lupa because of her sensitive ears. That is not my brother. She thought as her eyes widened, Not my brother at all.
She floated to an upright position to inspect whoever had yelled at her. She saw a white alicorn sitting in a velvety red throne with a gold plated back. She was positioned to be facing a monstrous pile of scrolls and there were dark bags under her eyes, though she looked furious. Her mane and tale were the colors of the aurora borealis and she had golden shoes to go along with her gem encrusted golden tiara.
"Ah. I see that my brother has been overthrown or has stepped down, the latter of which I highly doubt. You must be the new queen." She said in a disappointed tone, her ears falling flat.
"I am Princess Celestia, Co-ruler of Equestria. I would like to first ask you, intruder, what your name is before I call my guards to arrest you." As if on cue, ranks of guards filed into the room, creating a circle around the somewhat amused Dracanis.
Lupa chuckled lightly at the display of force. In her opinion it was entirely inconsequential. She put her paw to her forehead in mock distress, then spoke in a ridiculously high pitched voice: "Oh, I'm so scared of your scary little spears, how dare you point them at a little old lady like me!" She pranced about before stopping in a dangerous poise facing Celestia, disintegrating the headscarf that had somehow appeared on her person while prancing about. "Cute." She snarled, "I really would have expected the ones that defeated my brother to be a bit stronger perhaps. But if you must know," She started out while resuming her carefree floating and relieving her muzzle of its vicious snarl. "I am Lupa, also known as Ryu the powerful, the Loch Ness Monster, Giratina, Legion, The Didact, and Alduin, Swallower of Worlds. My younger brother is Discord, perhaps you've heard of him? He's is also known as The Spirit of Disharmony, Rule- *Ahem* former ruler of Equestria."
Celestia paled at Lupa's last title. Swallower of Worlds?! Just how powerful was this creature?!
"W-what are you?" She asked hesitantly, not sure whether or not she had the upper hand in the situation anymore.
"I am a Dracanis."
"A what?"
"To make a long story short; I'm the apocalypse." She sneered at the princess before releasing an orange pulse, turning the guards around her to ash.
