The Spirit of the Apocolypse
The beginning of the end
Previous ChapterThe princess stared in utter shock as the now empty guards armor clanged on the floor. Lupa's face was plastered with a huge grin.
"Oh, was that your captain of the guard?" She pointed to the nearest set of armor, which was purple, as compared to the gold armor. "I can tell because I've retained his memories! Ooh, the Elements of Harmony! Now that sounds like something I might want to destroy!" She turned to head out the door when a stern voice intercepted her. "You will not destroy anything! I will protect Equestria and her citizens at any cost, even myself. You will not leave here!" Lupa turned to see Celestia charging up a rather powerful spell, directed towards her. She deftly sidestepped the beam before snapping her claws (Don't question it). A bipedal behemoth made of wriggling orange worms covered in dented blue armor with sharp spines sticking out of its back appeared to the right of Celestia for half a second. In its right 'hand' was a gray cylinder with smaller green cylinders coming out of it. On its left was an arrow shaped shield that it had been swinging just before it appeared. The shield continued swinging, shattering Celestia's horn and splaying her out across the floor before disappearing abruptly.
Celestia grimaced as she touched the stump that had formerly been her horn and pain flared from it. Without her horn she was basically defenseless. She shakily pulled herself from the floor, only to feel a hoof on her back and be forced back down.
"Did you really think you could defeat me so easily?" Lupa asked in a dangerous tone. "I vaporize your entire guard regiment in less than half a second and yet you still insist? If I've ever seen something naïve it's you. I could kill both you and your entire kingdom with just a snap. Hmmm, maybe an exploding star? A black hole? Or something much worse... something that would make your citizens suffer for ages... yes... that might do..." She looked into the distance for a moment before her contemplating was interrupted by a sobbing princess.
"P-please don't hurt my subjects! I'll do anything you wish! Just... leave the rest of the kingdom out of it!" She pleaded.
"Why would I do anything for you? I have already displayed my power. In fact, I think it would be best if I could humiliate you! Yes, what a wonderful idea!" She grinned devilishly. "And just to make sure you can't try anything stupid I'll just give you a warning." She pressed her hoof down onto the alicorns back. Hard.
A sickening crack resounded throughout the palace, just before a shrill scream.
Guests came out of their rooms to see what all the commotion was, and were all horrified by what the found when they reached the throne room. Lupa stood up on her tendrils, lapping at a red stained spoon over a broken Princess Celestia. Her horn was shattered, her back was bent at an unnatural angle, and where her eyes were supposed to be remained two clack pits crying tears of blood. Her mane was now pink and had stopped flowing.
"Fool, you've doomed the world eternal darkness! Everything will die!" She yelled as loud as she could, considering she couldn't yell very loudly. The Dracanis chuckled quietly to herself.
"You really think that this universe just revolves around you don't you? You don't move the sun or the moon. YOU. ARE. PATHETIC. And I plan to make a show of it." She snarled before snapping her claws, healing Celestia's eyes and back, but shackling her. She was about to tuck the princess under her armpit when she heard a war cry. She turned to see a lone gold-clad guard charging towards her. She stuck out her paw, palm facing outward. Red electricity arced down her arm before jumping to the guard, who immediately started convulsing. He twitched uncontrollably for a moment before bursting outwards, splattering the room and all the dignitaries watching with red mist, bits of bone and fur, and the guards innards.
Many of them vomited or dry heaved, much to Lupa's delight. She snapped her claws and decapitated everyone in the room with the exception of her and Celestia, before strolling out, Celestia under arm.
They reached the gardens quickly. Lupa set Celestia down behind her, grasping the chains of the shackles with the end of her tail. Lupa cracked her knuckles, then punched the stone that discord was encased in, shattering it..
"Agh- *YAAAAAWN* wurbly wurbly wurbly! Urgh, phew!" Discord made a series of strange noises accompanied by wiggling and the cracking of the back. He bent over backwards to get a look at whoever had woken him. He jumped probably 12 feet in the air when he did see her, falling on his ass.
"S-sister! When did you get here!?"
"Probably about five minutes ago. We're taking this kingdom." She said in a serious tone before cracking a grin and laughing a cold, evil laugh. The laugh of someone who knows they've already won.
