Lonely Nights
Star Stream sat on the sofa in the middle of his living room. His half dark blue, half light blue mane shimmering in the light above his head. He looked back at himself. His light blue coat glinted in the light and his cutie mark of a shooting star with a magic trail behind it. He knew that a lot of mares around his village fancied him because of his slim, but firm body, and the way his mane and tail waved effortlessly in the wind. But, he didn't really care. He knew they "stole" glances at him when they thought he wasn't looking. He was more than happy to receive the attention, but it just seemed so fruitless. He didn't feel for any of them like they did him. They were cute and sometimes hot, but he just didn't feel the same.
Its nights like these where he wishes he had somepony of his own to keep safe and love, but he figured it'd never happen for him. He'd just be a single pony for the rest of his life. He usually didn't mind, but the loneliness always came back. Never failing to hit him where it hurts. He sighed as he closed his eyes and buried his head in his hooves. "Why?" He asked. "Why can't I just find the one for me?" The last question was more of an almost inaudible whisper. He refused to cry, but usually ended up making his eyes water. He always told himself it was "liquid pride" even though he had no pride to begin with. It was just a sorry attempt to make himself feel better and not to act like a young foal.
Tired of feeling this way, he slammed his hooves into the cushioned surface below him making a loud thump before hopping off the couch and muttering to himself, "For once, I am gonna make myself have fun! I'm gonna to to one of those dance clubs and have a good time!" He hesitated before grabbing his jacket. It had been ages since he'd been to one, but how bad could it be? He shrugged and headed out to the nearest dance club, which was called: "The Plot Twist".
As Star Stream approached, he saw a few bat-ponies standing around the entrance talking amongst themselves. He had always been told that they weren't the kind of ponies to be hanging around with. They're reputation mainly was how well and sexy they were in bed. Of course, Star Stream had only heard stories and rumors, he never thought he'd ever be in bed with one, let alone even getting in bed with somepony at all. He just knew it wouldn't be right.
He soon came to the door and the big guard pony looked him over and gestured for him to enter. Then, one of the bat-pony mares looked away from her group and noticed Star Stream. As she caught his gaze, her eyes went half-lidded and she walked towards him, shaking her hips and rump in a sultry fashion. She stopped in front of him as h turned around to face her. "You don't come here often, do you?" She asked in a surprisingly easy tone dispite the heavy lust and desire in her eyes.
"Not really. This is actually my f-first visit to a dance club." He said, his voice sounded shakier than he wanted it to.
"Well, let me be first to welcome you to "The Plot Twist!" She said as she smiled warmly with a hint of needy desire. He could she was looking to do more than just welcome him. "How's about you follow me and I can give you a proper welcome, hmm?"
"N-no t-thank you. I just wanna grab a drink from the bar." Stream was getting nervous. He could tell by the sweat forming on his brow as he spoke.
"Suit yourself." The bat-pony shrugged as she left with her group of friends. Stream finally let out a breath of relief that he didn't even know he was holding in. He caught his breath and finally went into the club, hopefully to avoid all of the bat-pony mares who asked him to come with them.
The night seemed to drag on for quite sometime. It was a twenty-four hour club, plus it was his weekend off, so he had a lot of time to kill. By his fourth bottle of hard cider, Stream was about to burst and puke his guts up. As he rushed to the bathroom, he noticed a sign that read, "Please go somewhere else to use the colt's bathroom. It is currently under maintenence." This definitely wasn't his lucky night.
He quickly resolved to run outside before spilling his stomach contense all over the dance floor. As he ran through the door and to the side of the building, he bent over into a bush and finally let loose what he was holding in. Everything that he had consumed in the last two days just splattered all over the ground in front of him. Unable to even think clearly, he suddenly fainted from the overwhelming feeling of nausea and dizziness that brought him down.
Only a few minutes before the unsettling scene, a bat-pony mare had saw him rush out and decided to follow him, knowing exactly where he was going and why. She had been there before herself. She watched as the poor sap emptied his stomach of the past two days and watched him pass out. Any other bat-pony would've just left him there to deal with it himself, but the mare just couldn't let it go from her mind. She quickly trotted to the yound stallion's side and helped him up. As he began to rise with the help of the mare, he also began to regain consciousness. "Huh? What?" He said before he again turned his head and emptied his stomach of the remaining bile. The mare just patted his back and waited for him to finish before helping him back to his hooves.
"So..." She began. "Where do you live? We need to get you home ASAP, big guy." She patted his back as she helped him walk.
"I-in.. t-t-the town of N-Neighton... j-just outside of C-Canterlot..." He managed to say through the shivers he was suffering from the over-indulgence of hard cider. "House n-number 302..." He added as he lost his balance for a moment.
"Okay. That's not far from here. We'll be there soon enough." The bat-pony had to use most of her strength to keep the drunken unicorn upright. She just hoped that she'd made the right decision to help this stallion.
After about an hour of walking to the town and stumbling around to find the right house, they finally found it. She had to admit, it wasn't a bad house at all. She wouldn't mind having one like it. Her apartment was not where near this good looking. She pushed open the door after turning the lock with the stallion's keys. It slowly opened to reveal the entirely new-sih looking decore. It made her slightly jealous.
She was drawn from her thoughts from the low groan of the stallion beside her. She sighed and lead him to his bed, tucking him in as he immediately passed out from exhaustion and sickness. "He'll definitely feel that in the morning." The mare mused as she went to the couch. "Might as well get some rest whle I'm here." She sai as she settled herself down on the surprisingly comfy couch beneath her body. She sighed content with the position and slowly drifted off to a peacful slumber. Only the next morning would certainly prove to be an interesting one.
