Chapters Oh, hello Equest- WAIT WHAT!?
"No way in all of time and space am I watching that show. NO. Way."
"You've been watching a lot of Doctor Who lately. How about some MLP?" I ask hopefully.
"Never."
I sigh. Me, Branden, and Lexi had finally gotten Anthony over here. Alexis agreed because she had read cupcakes and wanted to compare, but Anthony still refused. I sigh, and tell him,
"Oh, come on, you saw the first two episodes you said, right? Why not watch another?"
Anthony ignores the begging tone I give him, and holds his ground.
"Because, I watched them against my will. I don't want to watch one of my own free will." He then turns around, acting like a four year old.
You may wonder what exactly is going on, seeing I gave no explanation. I'm Cassy Marksman, a fourteen year old stuck in a household of people who have nothing in common with me. Yeah, weird name, I know, but I'm stuck with it. I felt like a waste of space, a background character with little purpose. I enjoyed being alone, not wanting to ruin anything else. I'm a total klutz, and manage to end up ruining everything I touch. I developed a small split personality, in that time, one that was psychotic. I was in a tough spot. One night, I was bored. I saw My Little Pony, and thought to myself, 'I cannot believe that I might actually watch a show meant for my four year old cousin.' But, I was bored, and watched it, ready to criticize it at school the next day, maybe exaggerate a few things to sound funny. But, I was soon proved wrong by episode three.
My sister walked in, and she laughed at me. But I didn't care then, and I ended up watching every episode over the course of the next few weeks. I was sad when it ended, but I felt happier, and the split personality disappeared. I rewatched the episodes when I wanted to. At school, I was stuck in a homework club thing, and that was where I met Lexi. We talked a bit, but the show never came up though, in fear of criticism and a bad rep. A couple weeks later, though, she dropped her art book. 'Ponies' was the only thing I said. She turned bright red, but I didn't taunt, I didn't tease. I just said, 'I'm not the only one?' We talked for a bit, and became good friends. After that, I went home and got on my Ipad laptop thing and looked it up. I was overjoyed when I found out that tons of people watched the show, and then I found Fimfiction by mistake. I loved what I read, and soon created an account. I met Anthony and Branden in band class, and Alex during gym when I tripped over her foot when she was sitting. I introduced her to Creepypasta, and she loved it, Branden loved MLP too, and I got Anthony into Doctor Who.
Oh yeah, I forgot, the story.
My friend Branden sighed. He was the only guy here besides Anthony, and although it never bothered him, my mom was against bronies, and said a few rude things. Maybe if she saw Anthony watch the show and, hopefully, enjoy it, she might think differently of bronies.
Or she might think that all of my friends are total weirdo's, and I need a better social life. Either way, Anthony needed to at least pretend to like it. So, we were very persistent. Angry, I yelled,
"I SWEAR, IF YOU DON'T WATCH THIS SHOW, I WILL TAPE YOUR EYES OPEN AND FORCE YOU TO WATCH IT!"
His eyes widened.
"Wait, what!?"
He didn't sound scared, so I knew he was thinking of something dirty.
You know, I might need some new friends.
"Not like that, stupid. Just watch it."
Now, You might think that because he thought dirty, he liked me.
Wrong.
We didn't like each other, and that was how things shall remain. He's almost as bad as my friend Kailie, who was busy. Alexis was getting visually impatient.
"Come on guys! I wanted to watch the show so I could compare it to the Cup-"
I put a hand over her mouth, and whisper angrily,
"Shh! My mom doesn't know about the pastas! I thought I mentioned this when I told you no cussing! Do you WANT me in trouble?"
It was a hushed whisper, but Alex quieted down.
"Sorry, but you said we could watch the episode Party of One, where Pinkie Pie goes a psychotic!"
I facepalm.
"You do know that she goes back to normal by the end, right?"
She laughs.
"Of course I know that, silly. I just need ideas for my Jeff fanfiction." I only facepalm.
Meanwhile, Lexi and Branden were having trouble convincing Anthony.
"I am never going to watch a show for little girls! Never!"
"Come on, just give it-"
I pause, noticing a high pitched whine.
"Why'd ya stop Cass?"
"Do you guys hear that, or is it just me?"
My friends looked up, and looked around the room, a look of confusion plastered on their faces.
"Umm, Cassy? Are you sure your just not hearing things again?"
I glared at Lexi, a bit annoyed. I didn't always hear things, but when I did, It was in a quiet area, and later on it always felt like Deja'vu.
"I told you, it's only occasionally! But seriously, it's getting on my nerves."
Anthony perked up.
"Wait, I hear it too..."
Alex stumbled a bit, and I yawned. Alex then asked nobody in general,
"Is anyone else tired?" Lexi sat down.
"Yeah, I don't remember being this tired..."
And with that, she passed out. Branden yawned and sat down on the floor.
"What time is it?" He looked ready to go to sleep. I looked at the clock, which was getting blurry.
"It's 4:07 I think..."
With that, the rest of us fell asleep on the spot.
I awoke groggily, and looked at my surroundings. Expecting the dullness of my living room, I'm surprised by the outdoors in a forest. I fully stand upon my hooves, and trot over to a weird flower.
Wait, HOOVES!?
I turn away from the flower and gallop over to a lake and look at my reflection. I was greeted by a dark purple Batpony, with a dark red mane. Where my eyes should be, were empty black sockets. I blink, and double check, and wonder how I can see. Then it hits me.
Why the hell am I a pony?
Crap.
I turned around, and saw my friends scattered around. Anthony was somehow in a tree. I smirked, knowing I'd be entertained when he woke up. That was when I noticed Alex stirring. She got up groggily, and looked to me, her sleepy just-woke-up demeanor still on her face.
"Cassy?"
"Yes Alex?"
"You're a pony."
I nod.
"Am I one?"
Once again, I nod my head, the universal signal of yes.
"You have no eyes."
"Yes, I'm aware."
"Ok then. Can I see myself?"
I step back, allowing her to notice the lake. She's a dark blue unicorn, and she has a blood red mane. Her eyes are a dark blue, and then I notice her cutie mark.
It's three cupcakes dripping blood, with a lightning bolt across each one. I face...hoof? Yeah, that sounds right. Then I realize, I never saw my cutie mark. I look at my flank and see its a note with a pencil, and the note looks blood stained, and says 'Help Me' on it. Then I hear someone else waking up, and when I turn around, it's Branden. He's neon orange with a black mane, and his cutie mark is a snare drum being hit.
Also, he's an Alicorn, about the same size as Twilight.
His eyes widen as he see's us, most likely not recognizing us. He just stands there, staring, until I facehoof.
"It's me and Alex. I also recommend looking in the lake."
He gallops over to the pond and stares at himself. Then he pokes his horn, and feels his wings.
"Wow."
I laugh, and say,
"It's pretty cool."
He then looks to me, looking a bit confused.
"How do you...?"
I shrug, and then we notice Lexi standing there. She's green pegasus, with a darker green mane with red in it. Her eyes are a light blue, and her cutie mark's an art pallet with paintbrush. She's also wearing a beret. Then, she says something really intelligent like.
"Uhhh... Huh?"
I look at her, sighing.
"Look in the lake."
She nods, and gallops over.
I then notice Anthony waking up. He sees us, and yells,
"WHAT THE FU-"
He was cut off when he started falling out of the tree, and hit the ground face first. I laugh.
"Wow, and your a pegasus!" He then looks to himself, and runs over to the lake, needing no advice.
"What the Hell happened to me!? And you guys!?"
We all shrug. He's a black pegasus, with bright, blood red eyes, and a dark brown mane. His cutie mark is a skull, and he has dark red glasses.
Branden speaks up first.
"Umm, where are we?"
I look around, and realize that the place is creepy. My eyes widen, and I say,
"The Everfree Forest."
My, Branden's, and Lexi's eyes widen, and Lexi yells,
"RUN!"
Me and Branden gallop after here, and Anthony an Alex just look confused, and Alex asks,
"Why? It's just a forest."
I call out behind me,
"Just RUN!"
The two take my advice and start running after me. After a while, we emerge in a small meadow, a village in sight. We slow down and catch our breath. After returning to normal breathing, I say,
"Well, guys, looks like we're in Equestria."
We all stand there in the meadow, no idea what to do now that we were safe. A yell breaks the silence soon though.
"Why the hell are we PONIES!?"
We look to the source of the outburst, and it's Anthony. Then, Lexi blinks, and asks,
"Good point, we can't just stay here forever."
"Well, we COULD..." I said.
Anthony looks at me.
"No, we CAN'T."
"Yeah you're right. Hey, what are you doing Branden?"
He turns back to us, and says,
"I think that's Ponyville. We can go there for now."
We all think about it, and nod our heads in agreement. As we walk, I defy physics, and somehow use my empty sockets to see. I'm looking around at my surroundings. It's a meadow, and... That's about it. Yep, just a meadow, along with a flower, another flower, a dead pony body, yet another flower...
Yep, just a boring old meadow. The dead body will be something to think about though... My thoughts are then interrupted by Lexi's voice.
"Umm... Cass and Branden? You can't exactly just waltz in there unnoticed. I mean, there's only four Alicorns, so Branden would stand out a lot. And Cass, not only are you a batpony, but you HAVE NO EYES! Do you get what I'm saying?"
We all stop, and I groan, and then say,
"Come on! What hell should we do? Oh, umm, Alex, can you teleport?"
She blinks, and then looks like she's thinking about it.
"I can try something, I guess." Her horn lights up, and we wait for her to try teleporting.
She ends up nearly electrocuting Anthony.
"AHH, WHAT THE HELL!?"
I laugh, and tell him,
"Well, at least we know she can do something. Let's just go there, and hope for the best. I mean, It's Ponyville, they're understanding."
They nod their heads in agreement, and we continue onward. Then, Alex moves in front of us with a flash, and she yells out,
"I TELEPORTED!"
We all cry out in happiness, and then, I say,
"Good, because I doubt that they wouldn't flock to us on sight. We're almost there, so do you think you can teleport to..."
I see a clothesline in the backyard of the nearest building. It has a lot of things on it, and I'm willing to bet we can find what we need on it.
"Alex, teleport to that clothesline and grab everything on it."
She salutes, and teleports over and begins grabbing everything. Lexi takes the opportunity to ask,
"Umm, we WILL put them back when we're done, right?"
"Sure we will, totally."
After I said this, Alex teleported back with a basket full of clothing, and says,
"Is this enough?"
I nod my head yes, and me and Branden step toward the basket, and start picking through it. Soon, theres clothes everywhere. Eventually though, Branden finds an orange jacket with blue stripes from the shoulder to the cuffs. It looks just like his old one, and it covered his wings with no irritation. Now, I just needed something. They don't usually hang sunglasses on clotheslines, but I double checked anyways.
Nothing.
I look through, but don't find anything, and I'd been searching for about ten minutes, and the others were getting bored. Ready to abandon hope and just try my luck, there they are, my salvation.
A black jacket with red cuffs and a red collar. And next to it was an entirely black bandana, similar to one would use at a birthday party, when they were hitting a piníata. Perfect, just what I needed. I put on the jacket, and say,
"Hey, can somepony help me with this bandana? I'll be basically blind with it, so-"
I was cut off by Anthony.
"Did you just say 'somepony'?"
I nod my head yes, and say,
"Well, we ARE in a PONY filled world- Crap. We have a problem."
Anthony rolled his eyes and said, a bit rudely if I may,
"Oh, REALLY!? What gave it away? WAS IT THE PART WHERE, OH, I DON'T KNOW, WE BECAME PONIES!?"
I roll my eyes, and say,
"No shit, what I mean is that, not only will I basically be fucking BLIND in public, we have too normal names."
They consider this, and Alex says,
"I can be Electric Cupcakes." After she finishes, Branden says,
"I can be Drum Musician."
"Oh! Can I be Artistic Flight?"
I nod at Lexi, as Anthony says,
"Do I have to? If so, I'll be Black Star."
I look at him, and ask,
"Isn't that a movie or something?"
"It's a PONY WORLD."
"Good point. Hmm... I'll be Death Note."
"Isn't that an anime?
I glare at Anthony.
"Pony world."
He scowls, and Branden steps over to help me with my bandana. He fumbles a lot, and asks to nopony in particular,
"How do they use hooves... Got it!"
I stumble around a bit, but I sense them moving away.
"Hey, I'm blind over here!"
After what felt twenty-seven seconds, (I got bored) Somepony grabs my hoof. I feel material, so I know it's Branden.
"Oh, sorry there Ca- I mean Death Note."
"It's ok Drum Musician."
I feel totally blind, because I technically am. It's quiet, because It's a bit awkward, just being turned into ponies and all. Alex breaks the silence, by saying,
"Hey, Death Note, we're here. It looks pretty small for a town."
"Maybe it's a village?"
I recognize the voice as Artistic Flight's. My thoughts wander a bit, thinking about random things. All of a sudden, I'm knocked violently back into reality as something shoves me against the ground. Branden helps me up, and I hear a huge gasp, and then the attacker yeells,
"OH MY GOODNESS, NEW PONIES! Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie, who are you?"
Lexi then introduces everypony.
"I'm Artistic Flight, this is Black Star, She's Electric Cupcakes, He's Drum Musician, and she is Death Note."
I awkwardly wave hello, and then I feel somepony's hoof on my... Mask? Yeah, that's a good word choice.
Either way, she's feeling it, and I hear her ask me,
"Hey, why do you wear this mask thingy? Were you playing pin the tail on the Pony? Can I!?"
She tries to rip it off, but I get lucky and dodge by ducking, and I say,
"We aren't playing any games, and I don't exactly recommend removing it. Although you do have the new part right."
Then, I hear Black Star start to talk.
"Hey, do you know of any places we can stay?"
"I can tell you after your party!"
Anthony sums up what she says when she bounces off.
"What the Hell?"

And now we're at a party... And homeless. Great.
We stood there for a few minutes, just now processing what Pinkie Pie had said. Alex was first to recover, saying,
"So, we get a party AND a place to stay!? Cool!" We nod our heads in agreement. We decide to walk around town, making sure we know where everything is. As we walk, Lexi draws a map so we can refer to it if we needed to. Eventually, we ended up lapping the entire town three times over. I know because I heard the same noises each time through. As we begin the fourth, I say to nopony in particular,
"Wow, we barely do this much exercise in gym class." We all laugh, and we walk around a bit more before we decide to go back to the meadow for a little bit. After we arrive, I rip off the blindfold, and say,
"Finally, now I can actually see. Hey, is anypony else hungry?"
They nod, and Alex says,
"Hey, can you guys actually fly?" We all pause, considering it. It never really crossed our minds, and Lexi says,
"We can try, but who will go first?"
We look amongst each other unsurely, but then Branden raised his hoof.
"I can try."
We nod in approval, and Branden unfurls his wings. We watch, and he catches some air before he lands about 500 yards away. We (clumsily) clap, and he trots back over. Next, Lexi takes her chances and makes it about 240 yards away. We cheer, and she comes over. Me and Anthony look at each other. We need a way to settle it. Then, he asks,
"Can we have a staring contest to..." He sees the look on my face and says,
"Never mind."
I sigh, and then say,
"Fine, I'll go."
I unfurl my wings, and take flight. I land about 400 away, and trot back over as the others cheered. I looked to Anthony, who groaned, but unfurled his wings and flew.
About about 20 yards there and back. But before I can come up with something to say, Branden quickly tied the blindfold over my eye sockets, and I soon knew why. I suddenly heard an excited voice start talking.
"Don't forget, your guys's party is in twenty minutes! See ya guys there!"
She was soon gone, and we were left with time to kill. Although, she seemed to be in a hurry.
Oh well, not my problem.
We walked slowly to town, and by the time we got to Sugarcube Corners, it was time. We walked in, and the room was packed. Branden agreed to stay with me, and the others left to mingle. Me and Branden walked over to the punch bowl, and Branden got us each a glass. I easily found the straw, and slowly sipped. I think it was Cherry Cola, but I wasn't positive.
Alex's PoV
I walk around the party, saying hello on occasion, but other than that I did nothing but walk. After about 20 minutes, Pinkie comes up to me, saving me from boredom.
"Hiya Pinkie, whats up?"
"Oh, ya know, stuff. I had to make up a new batch of cupcakes. How's the party Electric Cupcakes? Ooh, can I call you EC?"
I nod my head, and looks at Pinkie. She had some fruit punch covering some of her hoof, and decides to let her know.
"Hey, Pinkie, you have some-"
I stop mid sentence in realization.
The party didn't have any fruit punch. So, what's... Pinkie seems to notice, and her eyes widen. I think, screw it. I pull Pinkie aside, and say to her,
"Pinkie. That isn't punch, is it? So what is it? Ketchup? Blood? Hotsauce?"
Pinkie giggled and said,
"Hotsauce, silly. I love it." She licks her hoof.
"Mmm, hotsauce... Hot, spicy hotsauce..."
I leave her in her fantasy, and go off to mingle.
Anthony's PoV
I walk around, bored. I say nothing, do nothing. Suddenly, a spectrum colored mare crashes into me. I (violently) throw her off of me, and say,
"What the Hell was that for?"
She looked confused by the word, but then again, this is multi colored ponies made for a tv show. She then gets over her confusion, and says,
"Hey, don't get snappy. Anyways, who are you?"
I sigh, and say,
"I'm Dark Star."
The prismatic mare strikes some pose, and says,
"I'm Rainbow Dash, fastest flyer in Equestria."
I blink, and roll my eyes.
"Whatever."
I walk off in another direction, but she stops me.
"Your not impressed? Haven't you heard of me?"
"Nope."
Then, I walk off, ready to totally waste my time.
Lexi's PoV
I walk over to the snack table, and see Branden and Cass standing there drinking soda. I grab some apple cider, and look at the room.
I can't believe that I'm actually here, in PONYVILLE! Still, we have to get back. Suddenly I hear a voice behind me.
"Howdy y'all, ah'm Applejack, who are you?"
I turn to face Applejack, smile and say,
"Hi, I'm Artistic Flight."
She smiles.
"Well, I have to go stop my friend Rainbow over there from murdering that colt there. She waves goodbye, and walks away.
Branden's PoV
I sip my soda, and look at Cass. She didn't notice me, since she had her blindfold. Maybe she knew how we got here...
"I'm bored, how about you?"
I'm a bit surprised to hear her talk, but still respond.
"A little bit, I suppose. Hey, where are we going to stay tonight? I don't mean us, I mean everyone, well, not everyone..."
She puts up a hoof.
"Slow down there, I know what you mean. Hey, is that Anthony I hear over there?"
I squint, and say,
"Maybe."
She shrugs and takes another sip of her soda. Suddenly, I feel a hoof tap my shoulder. I turn around, and face Twilight.
"Hi there, are you the one that this party's for?"
"Not just me, It's also for my other friends. I'm Drum Musician, who are you?"
I have to play stupid, but she soon replies.
"I'm Twilight. I think Pinkie told me that you guys needed a place to stay. Maybe we could all discuss it after the party, huh?"
I nod my head yes, and say,
"Hey, wanna talk together?"
She nods her head.
"Yeah, I'll wait over there."
She walks over to the counter, and I turn to Cass.
"Hey, umm, Cass, would you be-"
"I'll be fine, go hang out. It's not every day you get to meet the mane six." She smiles, exposing her fangs, and I walk to Twilight.
Cass's PoV
I hear Branden walk off, and smile. I take a sip of my soda, and I hear a small voice next to me.
"Oh, umm... Hello, hope I'm not interrupting you or anything..."
I laugh, and say,
"No, your fine. Hey, I'm Death Note, who'er you?"
"Oh, I'm Fluttershy... Umm, if I may ask, why are you wearing a blindfold?"
I hadn't thought about that. Luckily, I'm good at coming up with excuses.
"It's fine, you don't have to keep apologizing. It's an eye condition. I have to keep it on."
I hear her small sigh in relief.
"Umm, how do you see?"
I take a sip, and say,
"Who says I can?"
I hear her tiny gasp.
"B-but, if you can't see, why are you here alone?"
I laugh slightly.
"Don't worry, I'm here with my friends."
I smile, and she makes a noise similar to 'Eep!'.
"B-b-bat p-p-ony!"
I internally curse myself. How could I forget. I'm about to lie, but then she says,
"I was one... Is it bad?"
I stop, confused..
"What do you mean?"
"Oh, you know, the constant urge for apples... Apples, yummy, sweet, juicy..."
I noticed it, but have been trying to ignore it.
"Yeah, it gets annoying, but lately, I've been in... SCREW IT! Let's got get the apples!"
I hear her run ahead, and I try and follow the sound of her hoofsteps. I bump into a lot of things, but finally reach them.
I feel across the table, and grab one. I bite into it, and suck it dry. Me and Fluttershy make it halfway through, before I realize something.
"Aren't they going to notice?"
I then hear the rushed noise of shoving them to the ground, and under a table.
Soon, the party is over, and we all gather with the Mane Six.
This should go well.
We all meet on the floor of the bakery, and after the introductions, Twilight asks us,
"So, where are you all from?"
I hear the other's stuttering like idiots, and I answer her FOR them.
"We all grew up in Manehattan, and became friends at a young age. We all lived within walking distance and hung out constantly. About a month ago, we decided to move out, and have been drifting about. We decided we would all try and get a place to stay here in Ponyville."
Twilight smiles, and Applejack says,
"Wait a sec, why are you wearing a blindfold?"
"It's an eye condition. I can't take it off."
Then, Pinkie begins talking, bombarding me with a ton of questions.
"What's the disease? Is there a cure? How does it affect your daily life? Have you had it forever? How do you see? Can you see? *Gasp* What happens if you take off the blindfold? WILL IT KILL YOU!?"
Twilight then scolds her slightly.
"Pinkie, don't ask so many questions, she can't possibly answer them all!"
I cough, getting there attention.
"Well, I can try. Hmm, It's a rare unknown disease, no cure, doesn't affect me much because yes, I've had it forever, I don't see, I can't see, I don't think I should, and no, it wont kill me."
Theres a long silence, so I take it that they're dumbfounded. Rainbow breaks the silence.
"Well, that's a first. Anyways, It's only me, Twi, Pinkie, AJ, and Flutters here, and Rarity's in Canterlot on a buisiness trip. So, one of you can stay with all of us except me. I have training. Speaking of which, gotta dash!"
She zooms off, leaving us in the bakery. Pinkie then says,
"EC can stay with me!" Alex grins, and agrees.
We agree that Artistic Flight can stay at Applejacks, and Dark Star will stay with Fluttershy. Twilight says,
"And you two can stay with me at my library. We can teleport, since it's getting late."
We all say our goodbyes, and we're all on our separate ways.
Twilight's PoV
Twilight set up two cots in the downstairs of her Treehouse Library. After she made them up, she turned to her two guests. A colt named Drum Musician, and a mare named Death Note. She knew something was up, and planned to research eye conditions tonight or tomorrow. She knew that she shouldn't bombard them with questions, because it most likely end up like Pinkie Pie and her 'Pinkie Sense', and she would drive herself crazy over something she wouldn't figure out, although then again, this WASN'T Pinkie. She smiled, knowing she would ask them about it tomorrow.
Cass's PoV
I stand there waiting for Twilight to finish up with the cots. I had nothing to do, so I thought about how we could have ended up here.
First, we heard a continuous, high pitched whine, from who knows where, and then we felt drowsy. We ended up passing out, and waking up in Equestria.
As ponies. The thing is, I ended up as a batpony without eyes, which seems weird. Before, we all were thinking of My Little Pony, so that might be part of it. And Anthony was probably thinking of how to murder Branden, since he was the one to trick him.
But it doesn't make sense. But, then again, I usually think of Creepypasta, the Containment Facility, and other disturbances, and if not, their definitely in the recesses of my mind. And my favorite one was...
Shit. If I was like this because of my thoughts, Alex was definitely think of... Oh, Sweet Celestia, let me be wrong. If not...
Then we are majorly screwed, big time. I'm soon drawn out of my thoughts by the voice of Twilight.
"So, you guys can stay in here for tonight. I was going to study upstairs, so I probably won't be down here much, if at all. The kitchen's in there, help yourself, the bathroom's upstairs, and I would introduce you to Spike, but he's with Rarity. Yell if you need me, and don't cause any major collateral damage." I hear her run up her stairs, and I'm now left alone with Branden. He puts a foreleg over my shoulder and starts talking.
"So, Cass, how's it going?" I just know he's smiling, and if I had eyes I'd roll them. I shove him away and laugh, and say,
"Seriously? We're stuck as ponies, in Equestria, and your still joking around? Good, because if we quit joking around we'll become boring and hate filled. I mean, at least Anthony jokes around."
Anthony's PoV
I sit at a table, bored out of my mind. Why was I stuck with the boring one? I mean, at least the others liked to talk.
This one, though... I watch as she feeds a couple of birds,, then makes tea. Tea! Why not, I dunno, coffee or juice or SOMETHING. I internally groan, knowing I will get Branden back if it's the last thing I ever do. I'm soon brought back to reality by her small timid voice.
"Oh.. Umm, Dark Star, you can stay on the couch tonight, if you want that is..."
I roll my eyes, and say,
"No, no. It's fine."
She smiles as if it was important to her.
"Oh, umm, the bathroom is down that hall. You can eat anything from the kitchen, just try not to eat all of it, if that won't be a problem..."
"Ok."
She stands there doing nothing, until there's a knock at the door. Who would visit someone this late at night? I watch her open the door. Standing there was this... Thing. I had a lions paw, some mismatched horns... Is that an eagle talon? They start talking as I watch.
"Oh, hi Discord. I wasn't expecting you."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I just wanted to visit my dear friend Fluttershy." He seems to notice me, and says,
"Oh, who's this?"
"Oh, thats Dark Star, he's staying with me for a little bit until he gets his own place."
I look at him, and just blink and nod. I think I heard Cass and Branden talk about the ponies being Discorded, but I don't think that they mentioned him that often. I smirk internally, knowing that I would enjoy trying to mess with his head, which is a thing of mine. I'm actually pretty good. Oh, I was going to enjoy myself.
Cass's PoV
When I was sure she was gone, I ripped off the blindfold, and smirk.
"Finally, I couldn't see a thing with that thing."
I look around at the room, and see the cots. One's purple, the other one is orange. I can guess which one's supposed to be mine. I look to Branden, who instantly looks to the ground.
"Why's ya do that?"
He slightly blushes, and says,
"Your eye sockets are kinda creeping me out. Last time, I thought I saw myself dying."
I laugh and say,
"Seriously? It was probably a trick of the light or something. Don't sweat it."
He smiles, and I take it as an ok. I walk to the kitchen, and look through her fridge. I see the apple juice and smile widely. I've always liked it, not just since I've become a batpony. I pour myself a glass and take a sip. I look around. It looks like any other kitchen, but it's not like I expected much. I finish my glass and put it in the sink. I walk into the other room, where Branden was looking through the books in the non-fiction section. He see's me, and says,
"Hey, I was just looking around for a book. What were you doing?"
"Nothin much, although it's getting late. We should get to bed."
He nods his head in agreement, and we make our way to the cots. I lie down, and realize something.
Can I close my eyes if I have none? Wait, do I even have eyelids? I try, to no avail.
"Fuck! I can't close my eyes. Now what?"
Sighing, I put on the blindfold and lie back down. I guess I'll just have to calm myself down. Within minutes, I'm out cold.
Twilight's PoV
I look at my clock, realizing I fell asleep. It was now 5 am. Well, good enough time as any to do eat. I trot downstairs, and notice that Death Note still has the blindfold on. I walk over, and realize that they BOTH still have their jackets on. That can't be comfortable, and magic them both off without paying attention. I magic their covers up, too, and trot over to Death Note. Weird name, who would name their foal that? I remember something I read in my books last night, about how it's easier to diagnose the disease. I decide it wouldn't hurt to ask her if I can look at them later. But, it couldn't be comfortable wearing that in her sleep. I'm there's no harm in removing it. I magic it off smiling. My smile turns to horror as I notice it.
She has no eyes. As I look into her sockets, I see it. I see myself dying. The longer I stared, the more gruesome it becomes. My life source, actually draining, bit by bit, little at first, but I didn't want to stick around for the end. I screamed, and fell onto my haunches, in tears. I curled up, wanting to forget the images. I heard them moving around, and I look up to see them jump up, looking for the source of the screams. I see wings, two sets. Bat wings, and pegasus wings. A batpony? And I thought that Drum Musician was a unicorn.
When I look back up, I see him.
An Alicorn. And her, the eyeless batpony who shows you dying just by looking into her eye sockets. I realize why she didn't want people to take off the blindfold. It's all crystal clear... All of it...
Cass's PoV
I jump up, and look around the room, looking for the source of the screams.
Wait, how can I see... I then see the blindfold sitting on the floor, a few feet from Twilight. She looked broken, it was a horrible sight, even for me. She looked so helpless, I couldn't help but cry. I feel it run down my face, and a few hit my hooves. I look down in instinct.
Blood, I saw blood. Did I cut myself? Did Twilight? Branden? It was then I turned to him, and see him jacketless. I realize I don't have mine either. Branden looks at me, only to look at the ground, as if awkward, or...
Fear.
That was the emotion on my friends faces when they looked at me, and I saw. I looked back at the blood, and feel the wetness. I stood there, dumbfounded. It isn't possible, I shouldn't even be crying at all. But, that was when I realized where the blood was originating from.
I was crying blood. It should be impossible for anyone, let alone an eyeless mare. I stumbled back, slid down the wall, and continued crying. I did it, I managed to ruin yet another thing. And it was a beautiful thing. And I ruined it.
I ruined Equestria.
Branden's PoV
I look around, and realize I'm jacketless. I see a broken Twilight on the floor, scared, silent tears fall down her face. I then see Cass, crying blood. Wait, she can actually cry? I was freaking out. What should I do? I walk over to Twilight, and slowly stroke her mane. I had no idea what I should do. I'm not used to being around crying girls, or mares in this instant. Eventually, Twilight notices me, and says,
"I saw myself... Her eyes... No, sockets... It was horrifying. And, you... How can you be an Alicorn?"
I sigh, and say,
"It's ok, I saw it too. I think you looked to long. Umm... It'll be fine..."
We both look at Cass, sobbing silently. I put the blindfold on her, and she says,
"I ruined it..."
Twilight walks over tentatively, and sits there. We all sit there silently, in an awkward silence.
Twilight stared at us in shock and fear. After a while, she broke the awkward silence by saying,
"How?"
I've had my blindfold on since the incident, and was expecting her to ask, but she still managed to catch me off guard.
"What do you mean?"
"How did you do that, make me see that?"
My head lowered to the ground, and I said to her,
"I don't know. If I did, I would tell you, I swear."
A few drops of blood manage to escape from under my blindfold, as Branden says,
"Umm, Twilight, are you going to tell anypony about this? I mean, the whole batpony without eyes and cries blood, and an Alicorn when there should only be four?"
She shakes her head.
"No, but I still have so many questions. But, I guess I shouldn't have looked under your blindfold without permission anyways."
"I didn't even know that could happen..."
My head stays facing the floor. I can hear them walking away, and I think I know why. No, not the eyes sockets equal death visions thing, but something else. Something much worse. And if I didn't calm down, then I'd run off. The only way that can help. I breath deeply, and I know I'll be fine. Not sure if their in the room, I call out,
"Are you guys still in here?"
Nothing, so I knew that they had left. I remove the blindfold, and look at the book that Branden had clumsily put back on the shelf. It looked neat, but it was inaccurately alphabetized. Not sure how I know that, I pull it off and read the title.
Inner-dimensional/planetary travel I smile and open it up to page one.
Anthony's PoV
It was day two at Fluttershy's house, and Discord just arrived. Time to drive the lord of chaos himself mad. I walk up, and begin act one.
I stare at him.
I end up staring at him for about ten minutes until he says,
"Umm, hello." I blink, smirk, and say,
"Hi. Oh, hey, did you meet my friend Electric Cupcakes? I think that she'd like meeting you. I can take you to her, she's at Sugarcube Corners."
Discord snaps his talons, and she appears, a bit unfazed. Discord says, "Why, hello there."
I smile, knowing that that I have another friend that might drive him crazy if she can't. I walk out of the room, only to be called back twenty minutes later by his snap.
"Get her away! She's crazier than I am." From what little I knew about the show, he was almost never like this. I laugh, and say,
"Ok EC, you can go now. So, Discord, care to explain what happened while I was gone?"
Discord visibly shudders.
"Never."
And with those parting words, he was gone. I laugh, and go to the kitchen for something to drink. I look through it, and find some apple cider, only it looks... Different, in a way. Fluttershy walks in.
"Oh, I wouldn't drink that... It's Rainbow Dash's. She asks me to keep it here, since she had a group intervention. I know I shouldn't but she begged me..."
I contemplate this.
"Wait, so this is like booze?"
"Wha-"
"Nevermind. But where did she get it?"
Fluttershy thought, then said,
"Umm, Sweet Apple Acres I think..." She looks up, and I'm already gone.
Lexi's PoV
I was helping Applejack with the farm chores, and it was hard. But I was having fun, and she had sent me to her barn to get another cart. When I got back out, I overheard her talking to Big Macintosh about having some of their hard apple cider stolen. I somehow know exactly who it is.
"Umm, Applejack? I have to go.. I'll be back later though."
And with that, I run off before she has a chance to respond.
Alex's PoV
Anthony ran into the shop with something on his back. It looks like a jug.
"EQUESTRIA HAS BOOZE!"
He runs out. Realizing what he said, I run after him.
Cass's PoV
I was onto chapter seven, which was talking about inter when Anthony and Alex run in, with a weird jug on Anthony's back.
"Umm, what is that?"
"Apple Cider."
I contemplate. It could be something else, or it could be cider. I haven't had it before, but I guess I could try it.
I would soon regret this decision.
I took a sip, and spit it out.
"That is NOT apple cider. Hey, is this like Equestrian booze? Why would you get this?"
Anthony shrugged.
"Boredom, I guess."
I facehoof.
"Isn't there like, I dunno, a drinking age or something?"
glancing around the room, Alex says,
"Not as far as I'm concerned. Hey, your not wearing your blindfold."
I quickly put it on, and say,
"Oh, yeah, thanks for reminding me."
"Why did you put it back on so quickly?"
I recognized the voice as Anthony's, and say,
"Well... I'll tell you later. Meanwhile..."
I pick up the 'Cider' and dump it out the window.
"What have you two been up to?"
Branden's PoV
Me and Twilight walk back to the library, after having talked about stuff, and how I could be an Alicorn. I tried sidestepping it as best I could, but we still talked about it a bit. We walked back into the library, and I swear I thought Twilight was going to faint.
"What is that?"
I look to the source, and notice it's a computer.
Wait, what?
"Oh, hey! Look what we managed to build!" I walk over, and see the sight their on.
FIMfiction.net, and Facebook.
"Seriously you guys?"
Cass, Alex, and Anthony smile like idiots. Cass says,
"We have no idea how we did it, or how we have WiFI, but it's awesome. Oh, look at this."
She clicks on a third tab, and it's Creepypasta.com.
"What does this..."
I make the connection.
"Don't you three dare."
Suddenly magic pulses through my horn, and it hits the computer. They look at it again, and it all seems the same, except the creepypasta, Cupcakes was nowhere to be found. I had no idea how I did it, but I was happy.
I walk off smirking, as they groan in disappointment.
The Internet and Bloody tears
Twilight's PoV
I stare at the thing that these three have built. We were only gone an hour, where did they get the time and equipment to build all of this?
"Uhh, what is that thing?"
Death Note laughs and tells me,
"It's called a computer. You can use it for gaming, chatting, research..."
"Did you say research?"
She nods at my question.
"Yes, and the internet part of it is pretty cool, although it's also very dangerous."
Twilight internally smirked. It was nothing she couldn't handle.
"Alright, show me."
*5 minutes later*
"NONONONONOO DON'T DO THAT! THE SYSTEM WILL FAIL!"
"I'M TRYING! WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT! Ok, maybe I can fix it if I..."
"DON'T DO THAT! THE ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE IS MALFUNCTIONING!"
"STOP YELLING AT ME!"
"I'LL STOP YELLING WHEN YOU LISTEN!"
Twilight threw her hooves up in defeat. She can't get this thing, it was far too difficult. It was probably a trick, supposed to be unconquerable. As Twilight smiled, Pinkie Pie walked in.
"Hey guys! Whatcha doinG?"
She notices the computer, and says,
"Ooh, whats that? Can I try it?"
Death Note nods, and waves her over.
Twilight sighs sadly, hoping Pinkie wouldn't be too disappointed. She watched as Death Note began teaching her how to start it up. The others had left when the lesson for me began.
"Ok, so I just click this button to start the computer?"
"Yep, and when you get to the next screen, it's called the desktop."
"Oh. It looks a bit boring..."
"Well, it's a good thing you can change it then."
"Really?"
Death Note nodded.
"I'll show you how after you I show you the internet."
"Okie Dokie Loki!"
Death Note laughed. She couldn't show me how with her blindfold, but she said she would try to avoid eye contact. I decided that after Pinkie got over her disappointment, I'd take her to Celestia.
Cass's PoV
"Ok, so the internet is a lot of fun, but it's also very dangerous. It's like baking a cake. There things you can or should go, like cake ingredients. But there's places you shouldn't see, and things you should avoid."
"Like putting dynamite in a cupcake?"
"Exactly. And, I think you have it. Now, as for the desktop... Ok, this is called Google. You type what you want into this search bar."
"Ooh, can I look up cupcakes?"
I freeze. I really hoped that whatever Branden did would also stop imagery. Cautiously, I typed into the search bar. Luckily, all there were was tasty pastries that seemed to make Pinkie drool.
"That one!" She points to a drawing of a chocolate one with pink frosting. In a few minutes, it was the new background.
"I think you got it. Hey, if you want, you can have this one if you want Pinkie. We were fast, and made about twenty seven more. Well, they got bored. I've been in here."
"Thanks a lot Death Note! Bye!" She hops away with it on her back. I look to Twilight, and she looks utterly shocked.
"Do you want to try again? This time, I'll try to be more understanding, but you have to listen."
"Actually I wanted you to meet someone. Grab your blindfold, and I'll take you."
I nod, putting on the blindfold. Twilight grabs my hoof, and we teleport away. I hear a voice, and only one thought comes to my mind.
I'm screwed.
"Hello, Twilight. Who's this?"
"Celestia, this is a new friend of mine. Her name is Death Note."
"Interesting name. I love seeing you Twilight, but I might have been busy."
"I checked your schedule. But thats not all. Something about her is weird."
"Umm, right here, you know." I sense them looking to me.
"Oh, sorry Death Note, but I wanted to tell the Princess what it is you can do."
I start sweating, and I become really nervous.
"Oh, no. I told, I was sorry Twi. I really didn't mean it, and I don't even know how-"
She stuck a hoof in my mouth. My wings twitched in annoyance from under my jacket.
"Sorry, for cutting you off. Don't worry, I just thought that maybe Celestia can help us out here."
"What exactly is it that I may be able to help you with?"
"It's her eyes..."
"What about them?"
"Umm, she doesn't have any."
I hear total silence. Celestia then starts talking again.
"No eyes? I'm not entirely sure that's possible. Can I take a look?"
"Umm, that's the other thing. It's how her name fits in."
"What exactly do you mean?"
"Well, when she was sleeping, I took off her blindfold since she fell asleep with it. I noticed she had no eyes, but that isn't the creepiest part of it. Apparently, she also has no eyelids, so she can't close her eyes, and when I looked into her eye sockets, I saw myself dying, and even felt some of my life source depleting."
"Oh my... That shouldn't be possible for an earth pony."
"Actually, she's a batpony."
"That isn't what I meant. Nopony in general should have the ability to do that. Can I... Can I have a look?"
"I'm not sure that you-"
"Twilight, it's ok. If it gets too bad I can always look away. Besides, to know what it's like, I should see for myself."
She magic'd off my blindfold, and I instantly brought my hooves up to my face.
"It's ok, my little pony. You'll be ok."
Shakily, I shake my head no.
"I'm more worried about you."
I knew she couldn't I mean, I could be put to death if this gets out of hand.
"Please, I only want to help."
She levitates me up to eye level with her, and I reluctantly move my hooves. I could sense her fear, although she tried not to show it. She looked more scared by the second. Eventually, she dropped me to the ground, and I got up.
"I'm sorry, Princess..."
"No, no... It's not your fault. But, how did you do that?"
"I don't know..." I tried my hardest not to cry, but I guess a few drops of blood escaped from my eye sockets.
"Is that...?"
Twilight nodded.
"What should we do?"
The princess sighed.
"Theres nothing much we can do. But for now, I recommend that you two return to Ponyville."
Twilight nodded, and we were gone.
