On the night of 1994, Thursday, the 12th at 11:29 P.M, Princess Luna would be rushed to the hospital, due to the the words mustered to her husband, who reacted quickly to the words, “Dear….I feel…a kicking in my stomach…”

Her husband rushed her to the nearest hospital possible which was within 30 minutes of their current destination in Canterlot, and was in the town of Ponyville, due to the hospital in Canterlot recovering from an earlier incident involving reconstruction of the building, they had to replan to travel to this location instead of the one that lay in remains, due to a terrorist who had wreaked havoc among the many people inside of it, and had been controlled and executed.

30 minutes later…

Princess Luna now rest on the bed next to her husband in was bolted into by doctors and nurses, who calmed Princess Luna in her time of labor. She was going to give birth to a certain foal….one that would experience hell, as a loud tick was heard, only from a distance, some of the nurses and doctors focused their attention to a white clock on the wall…which read, “Friday, 13, 1994, 12:00 A.M,” on the tiny LCD sign attached to the clock.

They did not give a care at the moment, as the mother of the night was about to give birth to her foal, the ones who had seen the clock had focused their attention on the day “Friday, 13,” since most rumor of this day had been of worst luck and bad things to go wrong, a day that would seem like hell, from other rumors that brewed around in their head and made them worry, but had to immediately disregard the thought of it due to Princess Luna giving birth, but deep inside…they still had worries for their dear Princess.

Luna gripped her husband’s hoof tightly as he sat by her bedside in her time of need of the support from him. The husband gentle and caring in his grip, sparkling dark blue eyes shimmer in the fluorescent light from both the husband and wife. Both with a soft smile on both of their faces, Luna, gripping her husband’s hoof tighter, groaning out in pain, knowing in mind and heart that she would be ok in the birth of this child, squeezing her eyes shut, her eyes begin to shine completely white, going over the irises and pupils of the Princess Luna as she roared out in pain, feeling nothing after a bit, panting hard and looking at her husband by her bedside, an ear perking up from her as she had heard faintly of her baby crying softly, a doctor pulling out a beige Pegasus that looked glistening from birth, umbilical cord still attached, and the father slowly came over, still holding his wife’s hoof, grabbing a pair of etiquette scissors, and slowly cut the umbilical cord off of both Princess Luna and the baby.

They both smiled at their creation. The doctor then trotted up to the other bedside near Luna. “Your child…Princess…Luna,” he bowed and set the beige Pegasus in Luna’s arms, and Luna tilted it so that it’s stomach may lay on her chest, and her smile widened, seeing her beautiful child’s eyelids, and she looked long into them, gripping her husband’s hoof out of pure joy.

The child’s eyes then began to open, sky blue and soft glowing eyes opened up to the dark blue coated mother, who had the smallest little cute smile, giggling softly, the mother was proud of their child, a beige Pegasus with sky blue eyes that glowed softly in the slightly dim room. Princess Luna smiled even wider, pulling her son in for a soft hug, the beige Pegasus’ wings tried to wrap completely around the mother, his irises turning lime green slowly as he attempted to fully hug his mother.

Luna then saw the child’s lime green eyes, curious and thought, maybe he gained the trait of my….oh….he gained the trait of my glowing eyes, though….this….seems different. She then proceeded to look down at her child and used a wing to pull a corner of her mouth another direction and cross her eyes in front of her child, which giggled and his eyes shined softly with lime green, she then thought more and now knew what her child had inherited, he has inherited….eyes…that describe his mood…

She smiled widely and hugged back tightly, who, her child who had then tried to wrap his arms around his mother, unsuccessful in doing so, but as attempting, there was one thing in the mind of one of the parents that remain in her head, and not in her throat to be talked about. He’s so adorable…. Luna thought as her child tried to fully hug her.

Luna then looked at her husband, “What should we name him..?” the husband then came closer to the child’s face, who starting biting on his muzzle cutely and gently, the husband smiling at the child’s cuteness. The husband parted his lips, and said “Let’s…….call him Finn….Finn….Merlins,” upon those words, Luna smiled, contemplated while connecting the gaze she and her husband had now shared at the moment, shaking it off and slowly nodding. “I think that’s a great idea, dear.”

The doctors then left the room, two guards coming on the sides of the door and guarding them heavily, holding their still position, one doctor remain in the dark corner of the room. The parents of their new child began talking of the child….wondering what he would be like…..where he could go…what he would look like growing up, what he might be capable of in later years….but, in the middle of their discussion of the child, the doctor in the dim corner started walking up into the bed, a soft smiling on his face, as he heard a silence between the two, he decided to part his lips, and attention was now on him.

“Princess Luna, I have a request as to keep your child safe for the night,” he said with a soft voice.
“And what might that be Doctor?” both Luna and her husband arched an eyebrow as to why he would request that, knowing that the child would be safe in their hooves.

“First, I would request as to go to take him to the cleaning and sleeping room of the hospital, get him clean from all of the,” he slowly pointed with the tip of a wing to the child, “….excretes….that reside on him, the hospital is highly guarded, as you know from being here,” the Doctor pointed to the doors of the room, guarded by 3 Pegasi, armed to the teeth, but very calm, staying in a still position, all had their hooves wrapped around a gold encrusted spear. “Your child will be guarded, as you both need rest, even though this is the first night with your child.”

Princess Luna looked at her husband wearily, the husband looked back as well with a hint trust in the Doctor, and slowly nodded, and looked at the Doctor, contemplating for a brief moment. He does have a good point…..I guess our child will remain safe tonight, for we will be able to collect him back from the hospital tomorrow, might as well pull out a cloud and sleep in the air, for now at least. She thought contently, looking up into the Doctor’s eyes and nodding. “That will be gladly appreciated, thank you Doctor.”

The Doctor smiled widely, “Anytime, Princess Luna.”, he replied, and he walked up to the bedside, ready to take the child, but giving the married couple time to say their goodbyes to their child. “Doctor, do you mind if I sing him to sleep?” Luna questioned the Doctor. “Take all the time you need Princess Luna, he is your child after all, and not mine, I have no rights to tell you what not to do and what to do.” said the Doctor very softly. Luna smiled and nodded, seeing as everyone , as well as the guards leave the room, they now guarded the other side, remaining in the same position as they once did as they guarded inside near the door.

Luna looked up at her husband, a sparkle in her eyes, the husband automatically caught the look, and knew what she was about to do, so he wrapped a wing around a chair arm, and pulled it behind him, sitting down and crossing a leg over one, smiling as he looked, and was quiet.

Luna slowly closed her eyes, and focused on her child, her muzzle pointing down to her child, and she parted her lips, her husband snapping his wingtips together in sync with what was their song. Doo…dooooo….dooo…doooooo…the husband started sounding with his lips.

Come, little children, I'll take thee away into a land of enchantment…

Come, little children, the time's come to play…here in my garden of shadows…

She took a deep breath in and out slowly, her voice soft to her child, which eyes slowly started to begin to close very slowly, her voice slowly beginning to put the child in a slumber with slow work and progress.

Ooooo….Ooo…

Follow, sweet children, I'll show thee the way…through all the pain and the sorrows…

Weep not, poor children, for life is this way…murdering beauty and passions…

Ooooo….Ooo…

Hush now, dear children, it must be this way too weary of life and deceptions…

Rest now, my children, for soon we'll away into the calm and the quiet…

Ooooahhh….ahhhhh….ahhhhahhhhhhhh…hhoooohhhh….

Come, little children, I'll take thee away…into a land of enchantment…

Come, little children, the time's come to play…here in my garden of shadow…

The beige Pegasus began to purr slowly, his eyes already fallen to half-closed eyelids, which began falling quickly, looking at his mother as he soon begin to fall to sleep.

Ooooo….Ooo….Ooooo…Ooooooooooo…

Princess Luna’s eyes flashed white as she began to end the song, she could see her child’s irsies flash lime green, a soft smile on his face, and back to soft sky blue, which in less than a second, she could not see anymore, except see the hum of light blue behind her child’s irises behind her eyelids, and she could only hear the quiet and audible snores of her child sleeping. She smiled softly as she had done good and had signaled the Doctor back in with a wing as he remained peeking through the small little window of the door.

The door creaked open slowly…and soon the hooves and body of the Doctor were in the room, Luna now hold up the child for the Doctor to take, which he walked over to the bed, and gently slipped the child above his wings, and slowly carried him out, the parents waving back at their sleeping child and smiling, slowly getting ready to leave out of the hospital.

The Doctor then walked out the door slowly, passing the guards without bumping into them, heading down a dimmer hallway with 3 doors, 2 of the doors were restrooms for mares separately and colts separately, the other room was the sleeping room for children, which was filled with children who looked alike, but had tags on the hoods that went atop of the children’s heads to identify them all.

He had a soft smile and looked down at the child he now hold in his wings, setting him down on a crib and pulling out a white plastic tag, writing down on the name in permanent marker with a wing, “Finn Merlins”, clipping it to his crib. He then smiled and left the room, closing it shut, having the keys dangle from his pocket, only not to remember that he needed to lock the door, and slowly left the hospital, the guards watch the hallways, all except the dim one in the corner, a door down it that was a final door, above the door, was a metallic sign, in red words, reading “EXIT”.

The doctor had now left the hospital to the guards, leaving a guard in charge of the hospital, as there we’re no more patients to be cared for in the hospital except the babies. And then a nurse walked in, coming up to the front desk of the hospital’s entrance, and slowly checking around, finding her card.

Then, she slowly walked past the guards as they guarded the main hallway which we’re where the children were located, slowly walked past another set of guards which we’re a second barrier of the hallway. She slowly began to grow closer to the room with the sleeping children, the pitter- patter of her footsteps echoed in the long hallway. She slowly reached for the knob, gripping it with her hoof, and slowly twisted it counter-clock-wise, slowly the door began to creak open, dim fluorescent light from the hallway ceiling’s only one light immediately found its way into the room.

She took out a notebook with a PDA as well, looking at all the children and walking around quietly around them, she seemed to be checking if they we’re all the right tags, then she spotted the beige Pegasi Finn, and spotted a male brown Pegasi on a row next to him, looking beige in the dark room, along with the odd light from the room.

She looked between the beige Pegasus and the light brownish Pegasus closely. “Silly Doctor, always putting the wrong babies in the crib,” and with that said she wrapped Finn in her wing slowly and gently, which still slept and snored cutely in the dark, and took the light brown Pegasus and put him in the crib labeled, “Finn Merlins”, and put Finn in the light brown Pegasus’ crib, the label fallen off onto the floor, and put the light brown Pegasi into the Finn’s crib.

She then smiled, and made sure everything was in order for the rest of the night, at the rate she was going, it was now 12: 57 A.M, and she had now passed and moved around every crib slowly and silently to get back to the door, opening and leaving the room, forgetting to lock the door, leaving it a crack open unknowingly, and walked out the building into the dark night.

Slowly, a gust could be heard and felt that crawled its way into the nursery, slowly creaking the door open quietly, and another door could be heard clicking open, it was the back door, rusted slightly but still glimmered of it’s cold steel, the door bringing in soft whistles of air, blowing the door more ajar very slowly, the wind growing severe out in the night, to the point, where the nursery doors slowly begin to open as well, but barely at all.

The wind overtime began to blow and crawl around the room a bit more, sending cribs to roll out of order very slowly, one crib gently bumping into Finn’s new crib and sending him rolling out the door and into the hallway, a guards eyes right beside him closed, snoring heard from him as well, a snort interrupting his snores, and continuing.

Finn now was slowly being pushed and pulled closer and closer near the back door, which slowly began to keep opening and opening wider and wider every so often of the wind, Finn’s crib just nearing the door now, the end of the crib now was getting layered bit by bit very slowly with a soft drizzle of rain, and a bump in the earth could be felt as the wind pulled and pushed Finn out of the hospital, tipping it over and Finn felt the earth against his body, eyes slowly opening and looking around quickly. “Meh meh?, Dah dah?” he said with worry and concern in his voice.

He started to whimper and felt cold, looking at an ominous forest that look ahead of him and crawled over to it, feeling his knees slightly scrape against damp dirt, slowly in a matter of seconds finding himself in the trunk of a tree, wings wrapped around himself, shaking with fear and with worry and loneliness.

He felt lost, alone, unloved, abandoned, tears started to softly travel down his rosy cheeks, sobbing quietly himself to sleep in the cold, rainy and dark night, lone, without his mother or father, and he would remain this way, till time said he could be with his mother that he would never get to see till then.
