The Warrior Chronicles
***Before we get started (This is TCN, by the way), I need to warn you. Parts of this story will be so f*cked up, you will slam your face against the nearest hard object. You have been warned.***
0.Prologue
The See-Through Zone: a place where the unimaginable is sent and held captive by its prisoner, the Aeon Worm. Guarded by the Paralyzed Horse Warrior, the zone’s one purpose is to keep those banished from the modern realm from rising once again. Even though the Worm’s loyal follower, Ralph Waldo Picklechips, had been taken by his own kin, the Worm knows that its influence would spread through to the modern world to free it from its bizarre and never-ending prison...
Beth Tezuka.
The key to the Aeon Worm’s freedom. Unbeknownst to her, the catalyst would soon activate, and the Bravest Warriors would finally be destroyed.
Within time….but time is soon running out…
“BETH! Hey, Beth!” Christopher Kirkman cries out, calling towards the direction of Beth’s auto-door.
16-year-old Beth Tezuka stirs at the volume of the loud intruder, glancing out the window and rubbing her eyes simultaneously.
Chris steps in, taking his time while making his way towards her bed. “Good morning, Chris,” Beth yawns, noticing Chris already in his gear, “What’s going down?”
"Eh, nothing much. Just doing our rou-"
Suddenly, she gives a sharp hiss of pain and a blood-curdling scream before crumpling to the floor, unconscious.
Chris quickly gets up and tries to rouse her. “BETH?! BETH!”
Beth...Beth...BETH…
‘Huh, I wonder who’s calling me…’
‘Wait... Where am I? What is this place?’
‘Silly girl. This is the end for both you and your friends.’ A familiar eerie voice chuckles in the darkness of Beth’s subconscious.
‘Why does that voice sound so familiar? Wait… is that... Dad?’
‘Exactly my dear. You were the perfect specimen to test my dimension hopper. Soon my Master will return, and your pathetic excuses for friends will soon be no more.’
‘What are you talking about?’
‘My Master will soon awaken, and we will send you far away, so we can conquer this world, and create a legion of followers to serve under him, so that he may rule for all eternity. ’
‘Why did you just tell me your master plan? Can’t I just stop it from happening?’
‘Nope. In fact, it’s time to wake up...’
'No, WAIT!!! What's happening?! Where...'
Prologue
The Warrior Chronicles
Prologue, Part 2
(Ponyville, a few minutes before Picklechips)
A rainbow-colored streak dissects the sky as the sun rose over Ponyville to begin the morning. Rainbow Dash, Equestria’s most awesome daredevil, was getting her early-morning stretches in before a quick mid-morning nap.
"Loop-de-loop around and WHAM! Almost done. I wonder when I’ll take my nap." Rainbow Dash said as she kicked at a cloud. "Oh well, like they say, there ain’t no time like the present!"
Stopping in mid-air to take a breather, she slowly descended to a cloud before looking up to to see a bright flash in the sky, accompanied by a large BOOOOM.
“Uh oh, that can’t be good. Looks like I’ll have to skip that mid-morning nap and hot-hoof it to Twilight’s!” Rainbow stated as she sped off towards the Golden Oaks Library where one book-smart Princess resided.
(Golden Oaks Library)
“SPIKE! Have you seen the latest copy of 'Magical Maladies and Conundrums'? I was reading it last night and now I can’t find it!”
Twilight asked as her head swiveled around to check the bookcases for the item in question. Spike, strolling in lazily, points and rolls his eyes saying,
“Isn’t that the book you’re looking for over there near the foot of the bed?”
Blushing, Twilight sped over to the spot he was pointing at.
“AHAH!” she squealed triumphantly. “Thanks, Spi-”
BOOOOM!
“WHAT THE HAY WA-”
Thud Thud Thud Thud Thud Thud
“...Anything else you wanna add?!?!”
THOOM
“Of course…”
"Twi, do you think you might need to check on that big... whatever it was?" asked Spike.
Blushing even more furiously, she sped out the door to find her friends.
"Thanks Spike! And no, you may not go back to sleep! We need to finish organizing the library!"
"But I... *sigh* Guess I should start working, huh, Owlowiscious?"
"Who."
"Me. I need to clean the library."
"Who."
"ME, stupid."
"Who."
"AUGH!!!"
Intervention: No Rest For The Wicked
"Are you absolutely sure you can take them out? I was having trouble myself."
"Of course. And you will help me get revenge on The Spark?"
"Kill them first, and then I will see if I can take them out."
"Then we have a deal?"
"Yes. I will free you, but only when the time is right..."
Meeting: Part Two
"Okay, Danny, grab that big stick." ordered Chris. Since he was the unproclaimed leader if the Warriors, they followed his commands to the metaphorical 'T'.
"Got it."
"Wallow, grab those leaves."
"'Kay."
"Plum, can you go get some of those rocks from the bottom of the pond?"
"Can do."
"Beth, can you organize construction of the kart?"
"Okay, Chris."
"Catbug, don't kill any toast goblins. Impossibear, don't hit people with sticks."
"Oookay!"
"Nursery school!"
"While you guys do that, I'm going to go look for food."
"Bye."
"Seeya."
"Bring me back a chili dog!"
"Really, Danny? Seriously? We're in the middle of a forest, as PONIES no less, and you ask for a chili dog. It's not like we're in a food-court at a Neo-Mars mall."
"So? I want a chili dog."
"Goodbye, Danny."
'I hope Plum goes easy on him. He's not as strong as he acts. He's really just a big baby. '
Meeting: Part Three
"Twi, are ya sure ya can do... whatever this thang is?"
"Yes, Applejack. The anomaly is two miles in..." she points off in a seemingly random direction. "that direction!"
"Okay. Jus' as long as you know whatcher' doin'."
"Don't worry, AJ. I know exactly what I'm doing."
"Alright, guys. Since we have enough supplies to last us for roughly two weeks, we should head out."
"Which way are we going to go, oh Great and Powerful Master Chris?"
"You know what, Danny? I'm tired of your shit. Pack up, get ready, and then we will leave. I don't care if you are in the middle of breakfast. You will be ready in five minutes."
'Dayum. I've never seen him * this** pissed at me before. Better do what he says... I'm not really in the mood for death today.*
"Sir, yes Sir!"
"Thank you, Danny. Everyone else: ROLLOUT!"
Little did they know, a sinister presence was watching them through the trees...
Authors Note: Y U NO WRITE COMENTS?
I would prefer there to be comments, especially guesses on the bad guy. As most authors do, I love feedback.
"Okay, girls. Get ready with the Elements. I have no idea whether it's friendly, or evil, but we do need to be prepared..."
"Okay, guys. Get ready to move out. I have no idea what lays ahead, but we do need to be prepared, anyways..."
"Hey, I think I hear voices! I hope they want to be friends... Then I can throw them a party!"
"Hey, I think I hear voices! Be quiet and on guard... I really don't want to have to fight today..."
"Hey, new ponies! Let's go say hi!"
"Pinhie, now!" Twi mumbled. Apparently, it's hard to talk with a tail in your mouth.
"*ptoo* Pinkie, we don't know if they are friendly or not."
"But Twi, aren't most alicorns friendly?"
"What do you- Oh my Celestia... Oh that’s bad. That’s very extremely not good. THERE'S FIVE OF THEM!!!" Then she realized what she had done. "Oops..."
"Okay, let's roll out!"
"THERE'S FIVE OF THEM!!!"
"What... was that?" asked a trembling Danny.
"Get ready..."
"THAT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! MY TEAM AND I HAVE BEEN STRANDED, CHANGED, AND, ON TOP OF THAT, COMPLETELY HELPLESS WHILE OUR WORLD GETS TORN APART! And there is NOTHING anyone can do to stop it."
"Hey, you can't scream at her like that! She didn't do anything!" yelled an emphatic Rainbow Dash.
Then, to everyone's surprise, the stallion just... broke. Almost literally. His expression morphed into one of pain, sadness, and loss. He sank to his flank, bawling his eyes out and babbling like a madman.
"I couldn't stop it! He took us all from our home... He changed us, and thrust us into some other world. And I couldn't do a thing to stop him!"
Everyone, including the new ponies, were startled by the sudden change in the stallions demeanor.
"He tore us from all that we loved. As of now, he is probably destroying the planet. Heh, some leader I am."
And with that, Chris Kirkman, great leader, ferocious battler, slayer of the scum of the universe, was reduced to an incoherent, bawling, babbling mess.
And no one knew what to do about it.
Confrontation: Part Three
As the strange stallion cried, Twilight and her friends gathered in a small circle to talk about the rapidly unfolding events.
"I feel sorry for the poor colt. If what he said is even remotely true, he must have had something terrible happen to him. Even though he yelled at Twilight, we should still give him a chance. That is, if you want to..." Fluttershy meeped.
"Yeah, so? Even if you are hurting badly, that doesn't mean you can just take it out on somepony!" countered Dash.
"That stallion is most definitely strange, I will give him that. But what really intrigues me, is the rapid change in demeanor. I daresay he is suffering from some sort of condition." Rarity calmly stated.
"If the change in mood is any indication, I would conclude that he is suffering from some type of traumatic experience, though I highly doubt what he said was the truth." Ever the scholar, Twilight tried to use logic instead of emotions.
"Twi... That weren't no lie... He was telling the truth. It may sound like a buncha' hooey, but Ah'm teh Element of Honesty. If he said his world was bein' destroyed... Well, he ain't lying..." All six mares gasp.
Pinkie Pie, having been oddly silent, was distant, lost in deep thought. Suddenly, her mane and tail went flat.
"Y-y-y-you mean, p-p-ponies are..." she started to cry, unable to finish her sentence.
Then, the realization struck them like a tidal wave. Rainbow, usually tough and reserved, was sniffling and starting to cry. Fluttershy, ever calm and collected, was brought to tears instantaneously, whimpering being the only sound she could produce. Rarity, like the drama queen she was, fainted. Applejack, the ever-stoic wall of strength, wept openly. Twilight, however, took it the worst. Sobs wracking her body, she muttered and babbled incoherently, tring to make sense of her twisted emotions. She started to dry-heave, not being able to stop crying, nor having the ability to stop the gag-reflex. Like the stallion before them, they began to cry and weep openly, mourning the loss of life.
After a while, Twilight and her friends stopped crying, and composed themselves enough to go talk to the strange new ponies.
"H-hello. I am Twilight Sparkle. I-I was wondering if you needed a place to stay, since you look like you were setting up camp. Also, what are your names?"
"Well, I am Beth, the one that is having a breakdown is Chris, that one over there is Danny, the one right next to him is Wallow, and that over there is my friend Plum."
"Do you have any pre-"
Then, Chris started to sing. (This song isn't mine, all I'm doing is using the lyrics.)
"Ever on and on I continue circling
With nothing but my hate in a carousel of agony
Till slowly I forget and my heart starts vanishing
And suddenly I see that I can't break free
I'm slipping through the cracks of a dark eternity
With nothing but my pain and the paralyzing agony
To tell me who I am, who I was
Uncertainty enveloping my mind
Till I can't break free, and
Maybe it's a dream; maybe nothing else is real
But it wouldn't mean a thing if I told you how I feel
So I'm tired of all the pain, of the misery inside
And I wish that I could live feeling nothing but the night
You can tell me what to say; you can tell me where to go
But I doubt that I would care, and my heart would never know
If I make another move they'll be no more turning back
Because everything will change, and it all will fade to black
Will tomorrow ever come? Will I make it through the night? Will there ever be a place for the broken in the light? Am I hurting? Am I sad? Should I stay, or should I go? I've forgotten how to tell. Did I ever even know?
Can I take another step?
I've done everything I can
All the people that I see I will never understand
If I find a way to change, if I step into the light
Then I'll never be the same, and it all will fade to white
Ever on and on I continue circling
If I make another move, if I take another step
Then it all would fall apart. There'd be nothing of me left
If I'm crying in the wind, if I'm crying in the night
Will there ever be a way? Will my heart return to white? Can you tell me who you are? Can you tell me where I am? I've forgotten how to see; I've forgotten if I can
If I opened up my eyes there'd be no more going back
'Cause I'd throw it all away, and it all would fade to black ."
By now, everyone was crying. Not even Impossibear was spared from tears. Somehow, the lyrics conveyed to them how he felt. They knew what he was thinking, and why. They knew he was in pain. They knew he felt it was his fault. They knew he felt pure, unadulterated loathing for something. What they didn't know, however, was why. They didn't know he was using his Emotion Lord powers to convey his thoughts. They didn't know that he was standing up. They didn't know he was coming towards them. They did not know he was sitting down next to them. What they did know, was that there was a new voice, crying along with them.
"Wherever you are, whatever you do, no matter where you hide, I will find you, and I will kill you with my BARE HANDS!!! YOU HERE ME WORM?!?!?! I WILL TEAR YOU APART!!!!!!!!"
All the while, something sinister was watching and cackling through the trees...
A New World, A New Way: Part One
After the tear-fest, the Warriors and the ponies composed themselves long enough to ask and answer a few questions. It was an unspoken, unanimous decision to answer questions tit-for-tat.
"Okay, first and fore-most, what world is this?" asked Chris. When the tears and raging had stopped, there was a new fire burning in his eyes, somewhat akin to Hellfire.
"The world we live in and on, is called 'Gaia'. What world do you come from?" Twilight replied.
"There are lots of worlds and planets, but the four of us hail from Mars. Why are you so nervous around us?"
"Ponies that have wings and horns, Alicorns, are extremely rare. The only ones to appear in recent history have been Cadence, and myself. You said something about being 'changed'... What was that about?"
"We aren't really ponies, it was just a cruel trick the Worm played on us. What we really look like are tall, bi-pedal creatures resembling monkeys. Some idiotic scientists believe that we evolved from some kind of ancient reptiles, but, come on. How does a sapient and sentient creature evolve from some overgrown lizards? My turn... umm... How are you using telekinesis? The only being I know that is that powerful is the Elemist."
"I'm surprised you didn't know that already, since you are able to use it yourself. Any unicorn or Alicorn can use magic, you all included. Does your world not have magic?"
"No, the only 'magic' in my world is poorly-set-up parlor tricks that nobody believes except for children and idiots. Can magic be used for alternative purposes?"
"Many. Magic can be used as transportation, transmogrification, among thousands upon thousands of other uses. Wha-"
"CAN YOU TURN FLOWERS INTO WAFFLES!?!?!?" Danny suddenly interrupted. "CUZ' I WANT WAFF- Oof!" Danny was suddenly interrupted by a hoof to the face.
"Danny, shut up! You will have plenty of time to be an idiot later, but now is not one of those times. Now miss Sparkle, you were saying?"
"*ahem* As I was going to ask, what is the typical human diet?"
"Ahh, an interesting question. Humans are omnivores; without the protein found in animals, we die. Eggs and things can supply those nutrients, but humans don't like bland that much. Though, I'm not sure what we eat now. Would you mind answering me that?"
"Oh, o-of course. Ponies are herbivores, eating flowers, berries, and hay. There are other things we eat, but that is the staple-point of our diets. Does your kind have any... interesting traits, or instincts?"
Chris laughed. Even if it was a bit hollow, it still felt good to laugh.
"That is an interesting subject. Humans have little-to-no instincts, but the ones we do have, have... interesting effects. For example, lets say that I have no money, live under a bridge, but am happy with my wife. Now, lets say that you, a bad guy, kidnaps her. Now what? Now the man nothing left to lose. After a few moments of sorrow, a primal rage begins to form. Adrenaline begins to flow, eyes start to burn with hatred and anger, and with nothing holding him back, he sets out to find his wife. But, anything that gets in his way -save for children- dies. He doesn't just kill them, he murders them. Not even impending death itself can stop him. Nothing matters, except his wife. The same goes for children. You could say we have strong protective instincts." he smirked.
"That's... interesting." she stated, obviously rattled by this new revelation.

Meeting: Part One
Three days later...
"Okay, Spike. Ready?" asked Twilight.
"As I'll ever be." he grumbled.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" she asked, the heat evident in her tone.
"Ready!" he replied hastily.
"Good." she said, anger temporarily quelled.
"Okay, tent?"
"Check."
"Water?"
"Check."
"Magic and anomaly detector?"
"Check."
"Battery crystals?"
"Check."
"Hard-hats?"
"Check."
"Food?"
"Check."
"Good job, Spike. Do you have the carriage ready?"
"I don't know. I can't understand it."
“Come on, Spike! It isn't rocket science, it's just quantum physics!"
"Uh... How is that any different?"
"... Just get it ready. I'll go get the girls."
"*sigh* Only for you, Twi. Only for you." he said, trudging up the stairs to get the required ingredients.
Arrival
“Ughh… my head…” moaned Beth.
“Wha- what happened?” yawned Wallow
“Where... are we?” asked Chris.
“Ah cernh ferl mah ferce…” mumbled Danny.
“Owww…” Plum complained.
Then everything went to hell...
“What? This is messed up.”
“Everything is Oookay!”
“AAUGH!”
“WAHAUGH!”
*thud*
“HOLY SHIT WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?!”
“Well… this is... different…”
Four Warriors, one alien, one Catbag, and one Impossibear, sat staring at the new bodies of the warriors and the alien.
“Dayum, Wallow. You really let yourself go this time, baby.”
“Shutup, Impossibear.”
After a moment of thought, Wallow had come up with a hypothesis.
“Guys, I think we’re ponies.”
“Yeah, but that doesn’t explain the horns and wings on all of our backs.” said Danny, stating the obvious as always.
“Yeah... well... I’m still working on that.”
“Yeah.” Chris agreed. “Remember the Pony Lords? That’s pretty much what we look like… except with more random colors.”
“But did the Pony Lords have dongs on their face, and wings on their back? Don’t think so!”
“We must be…” Wallow’s eyes went wide and filled with stars (which is hard, considering how wide their eyes already are), “a whole new breed of ponies!” he said happily.
“Wow, man.” said Chris. “This is heavy stuff.”
“Heh. No shit, Dick Tracy.” Danny yelled. Then, he turned to Wallow.
“If we are an endangered species, you owe me five bucks, Wallow.”
“...Deal.” he said eventually.
"Come out! I don't want to fight today, but I give you to the count of five to get out here!" Chris yelled.
*sigh* I really don't want to fight. After the Worm and Picklechips, I could just break down and cry.
"What 'r' we gonna do, Twi? He seems... Ah don't know. Ah know Ah've heard that tone somewhere before... It's almost like he's... sad, hurt, an' angry." said AJ. The last time she heard that tone... It had not ended well...
"ONE!"
"We can't just go and meet their demands, can we egghead?" Rainbow, however, shared none of AJ's concern. To her, it was just a new flank needing to be kicked.
"TWO!"
"I... I... I don't know! Applejack is right. They have obviously been hurt; you can practically feel their pain! I personally think we should meet them, and see if we can help. If nothing else-"
"THREE!"
"we could point them in the direction of Ponyville..."
"FOUR!"
"STOP! We agree to you terms. Really, all we came here for was to measure the magical disturbance coming from this area. We had no idea somepony else was staying here."
"Come out slowly, with no weapons. I don't want trouble." said Chris. Then, he added sadly and quietly, "All I really want do is go home..."
Unfortunately for Chris, Twilight had heard him.
"What do you mean, 'home'?"
Enraged, saddened, and completely lost in the world, Chris's expression changed rapidly to one of pure, unadulterated rage, and roared, "THAT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! MY TEAM AND I HAVE BEEN STRANDED, CHANGED, AND, ON TOP OF THAT, COMPLETELY HELPLESS WHILE OUR WORLD GETS TORN APART!" Then, head hung, and somewhat more quietly, he added, "And there is NOTHING anyone can do to stop it."
"Wow... I've never even seen Chris cry before, and this is full-on weeping!" said Beth. Even if neither her nor Chris would admit it, they both had feelings for the other. As such, she was in fear for his well-being.
"I... I feel like we should help him, but... how do you help someone like... well, that!" Danny stated, also concerned for his health.
"He did such a good job of hiding it, I couldn't even tell! And I'm his best friend!" Wallow said, obviously irked at himself for not seeing his friend's condition.
"Poor guy..." Plum wasn't sure how to react. She felt bad for him, especially with... NO! She couldn't think that! Especially if mind readers are about.
"Do you think we should help him?" she asked.
"No, let him cry. Crying is good for the soul." Beth replied.
