“Well guys, looks like this is it! Thanks for helping me find a way back.” I was just about to step through the portal that should take me back to my original timeline. I’ve spent quite a few months in this timeline after the event that brought me here.
Well I should probably explain what happened that took me to a different timeline, well you see, back in my timeline I was on my way towards a civilian outpost where they took in any civilians that needed shelter from the threats that have been around ever since World War 3, which only lasted 4 to 6 months but I’ll explain that later, and they sent a distress call and I thought it would be a good idea to go with the few civilians and USMC squad that were going to check out what the problem is, I had certain...abilities that came in handy against the enemy which I also will explain later. Ok so we were half way there along the roads were barely any buildings stood anymore when we suddenly lost contact with the Winchester Stronghold in Virginia. At first we were confused and just kept going but the vehicle suddenly stopped. Then suddenly there was a HUGE flash and then I blacked out. Next thing I know I’m lying in the top bunk of a bed in my room except it wasn’t dark outside and I wasn’t wearing any of my equipment.
Yeah you might think ‘Oh, but someone could have just taken you back to your room while you were unconscious’, well yeah but this room was mine but not from the stronghold, it was my old home’s room and we left that place a while ago.
Anyways so I went to look around and found out there never was a World War 3 and a lot of the events that i remember never actually happened. At first I thought it was a dream so I just went back to sleep. When I woke up, Surprise Surprise, nothing changed. I spent living my life as I would 2 years ago until I finally found out some of my abilities still work. After about 3 months I found a group online on a certain website *cough cough* this one *cough* and joined the group.
A few months later and I started talking about my predicament and some of them believed me and were willing to help if I could get them to a certain place. I told them that I might be able to IF I get back to my timeline and that’s how we got to here.
“Well I’m off, thank you for all your help and I WILL find a way to get you there.” I said as I approached the portal. “Don’t disband the Alliance, and may we meet again.”
“Don’t worry, we won’t! And we hope we do meet again. Bye!” They told me..
I turned around and stepped back. “Bye guys, I’ll see you again!” I went through.
Darkness. That was it. First I’m going through a portal back to my timeline and now darkness.
After a bit I realize ‘Oh...My eyes are closed…Heh, Well that’s better than being unconscious I guess. Welp, time to open my eyes and take a look around'.
I open my eyes and I see something that seems familiar, a cloudy dark sky. I knew better than to let that be a sign that I’m back so I decided to stand up and look around.
Now you would expect that I appeared somewhere else already but NOPE! I found myself looking at ruined buildings, rubble and a road. That’s when I decided to look and see what I was wearing and I found myself wearing My cargo jeans, grey T-shirt, protective vest, My favorite black zipper hoodie with ‘SP’ as the emblem on the left, my lightweight, waterproof hiking boots, my fingerless gloves, and my dual pistol holster with my sonic pistols A.K.A. two Sonic Projectile 14-Switcher Class or SP14-Switchers. Altogether that adds up to about 1000 points of awesomeness, but who’s counting?
I quickly grabbed the sonic pistols and checked them to make sure they were as I left them and it turns out they were at full functionality, or should be if I pull the trigger. I decided to test ‘em on some rubble, so I pulled the trigger and I could hear the all too familiar dragged out boom noise when I shot something (or someone. That’s when I heard some commotion a few blocks away. Gunfire and yelling. I was just about to go and see what it was when I remembered that I should probably check if my abilities were back.
I started concentrating on making my hand glow blue from the energy in and around me and creating a tennis-ball sized orb of energy float in my palm. At first nothing happened, but after a few seconds, I felt the familiar coldish, somewhat prickly feeling in my hand. That’s when the orb started appearing and growing from a small marble size to almost tennis ball size.
Suddenly there was a whistling noise and an explosion near me. I looked up and saw a rocket heading towards me. I jumped to the side, barely dodging the explosion. I looked to see what just shot at me, and what I saw brought back memories. A mechanical spider-like robot that’s 20-ft tall and has rocket launchers and a variety of energy weapons., what I called a ArachDrone (not very creative, I know), was looking straight at me. A rocket launcher on it’s back was trained on me with a laser pointing at me. I instantly ran behind one of the buildings around me when a rocket hit the building.That’s when I heard gunfire again and explosions around the corner. I took my chances and looked around the corner. I saw the Drone first, but then I saw a group of soldiers and Humvees shooting at the bot. The bot was returning fire and I knew that I had to help. I pulled one of my SP14s from it’s holster and switched it from Sonic to Energy and was ready to go out and attack the bot when something caught my eye.
There was what appeared to be another ArachDrone heading towards my location and an IBC (Invasion Battle Cruiser) flying over the bot dropping Hunters, an alien race with unknown origins, with Level 4 weapons and armor. The IBC also had some type of new weapon on the underside of the cockpit. I knew that if I didn’t attack and take down the first bot before the enemy reinforcements arrived. I jumped out from behind the building and started shooting at the Drone’s legs. I took one leg off and was about to shoot another one when one of the ArachDrone’s energy guns turned towards me and started firing. I instinctively held my hands up to my face when my abilities kicked in and an energy barrier appeared in front of me and blocked the bolts of energy. That reminded me of my powers so I kept the shield up and started moving towards the bot. I changed the shield to about the size of a riot shield and started to shoot from behind it.
I hit another leg at the same time as the soldiers on the other side destroyed 2 more legs and it started to lose balance but caught itself before it fell. I used the distraction and sprinted towards the ArachDrone while using the energy of the shield to boost the power on my sonic pistol. I rolled under the bot before it could shoot at me again and was about to shot the underside of it when I remembered another thing I could do with my abilities, something I called Tech Shifting. I held my pistol out in my left and held my right hand a few inches over it and thought of what I wanted to change it to. The SP14 disassembled into small pieces that were glowing blue and started to reassemble into the shape of a sword-like weapon . Ah, My Energy Steampunk Cutlass, or Steam Cutlass for short, is my favorite melee weapon. The sword stopped glowing and I grabbed the handle. I looked up to see the underside of the ArachDrone was closer to the ground because of it’s missing legs. I gripped the sword, charged the blade with energy, and slashed at the underside.
The blade cut right through the metal armor and damaged the inner circuits. The drone stopped firing at the Humvees and the soldiers, and started to fall. I quickly jumped out from under it before it came crashing down. I looked back at it then turned towards the soldiers, which some had their guns aiming at me while others simply stood wide eyed at what they just saw happen. I quickly realized that the Hunters and the other ArachDrone would be here soon, so I took a step towards them to tell them about the other hostiles in the area when one of them yelled.
“Stay right there and don’t move!” A somewhat familiar soldier with what appeared to be a Remington R5.
“Woah! Hey! Don’t shoot! Friendly!” I quickly responded.
“Who or what are you and what was that thing you did a few minutes ago?!” He said while still aiming at me.
“First off, I’m human, Second, my alias is Incognito Blazer and I am,or was, a part of the Phantom Destiny Strike Team, And what you just saw was me using my special ‘talent’ to take down that ArachDrone.”
“Wait,” He replied while lowering his gun,”Incognito from PDST went M.I.A. over six months ago and you, a teenager, are telling me that you’re him?” He had an expression of deep thought on his face and started murmuring a few things,”A kid with strange abilities, claims to be Incognito Blazer from PDST and is in a sector under hostile control, either you’re actually some kind of hostile in disguise, or you actually are Incognito!”
“Yes, I am and I know I went missing for six months-” The soldier cut me off.
“I know that you are Incog because, well, we ARE the PDST!” He said.
“Wait, I thought you looked familiar. Are you...Eric?” I asked.
“Ha, You do remember me! And that proves that you’re Blazer! Oh and I told you that we would all call each other by alias if we have to call you by alias,” He answered.
“Right, sorry I forgot. Well Night, I never really liked you’re alias very much,” I joked.
“Yeah, says the one who pretty much doesn’t have a name BESIDES Incognito Blazer!” He responded.
“Hey, I told you I just don’t like going by my actual nam-” I got cut off by one of the Humvees suddenly exploding. I turned to look towards the downed ArachDrone when I saw that the other Drone was already here along with the IBC and the Hunters. We quickly took cover and started firing. I pulled out my other SP14, switched it to Energy, and started shooting at the legs of the Drone and the Hunters. The fight was getting serious when the IBC’s cannon under the cockpit started to glow and make a ZZZZ sound that grew progressively louder. Suddenly the Drone was next to my other squad mates’ hiding spots aiming at them. I stepped out from cover and the IBC’s cannon aimed at me while the the spider-like bot was about to fire at the rest of my squad.
I did probably the craziest thing I've ever done. I holster my pistol, took my sword, and pounced on the ArachDrone at the same time as the IBC fired at me. The sword made contact and the white laser from the cannon hit both me and the Drone. Everything suddenly went into slow motion and I felt a strange sensation of being compressed and stretched at the same time (which didn't hurt for some odd reason) and everything was slowly turning white. Everything finally turned white after a few seconds and then nothing but pure darkness.

Chapter 1: Meeting the locals
I suddenly wake up to find my self still clinging to the ArachDrone with my Steam Cutlass when I notice there is an odd amount of rushing air and I feel almost weightless. I look down to see that I’m actually falling with the Drone in the sky in the middle of nowhere. I start to panic a bit and look around frantically when I started to notice that the ground was very green, which is strange because I was in a city not a rural area. The Drone appeared to be noticing it was falling too, and then it noticed me. It started to aim an energy blaster at me but kept looking towards the ground.
I looked at the ground again and saw what appeared to be small buildings. I knew I was running out of time so I was thinking of a way I wouldn’t end up as mush because I like being a fully functional human being, thanks. The ground was getting closer and I still didn’t have ideas on how to save my self. The Drone was stabilizing itself as if to land on it’s legs instead of it’s body. I looked down again and everything suddenly seemed familiar. I decided to stay on top of the ArachDrone for the rest of the trip down to the ground because my only idea was to jump up at the perfect time so when I would jump up the Drone would hit the ground and I would land on the Drone with less force than the Drone hit the ground with, pretty great and flawless plan, huh?
I was still holding on to the Drone and was waiting for the perfect time to jump. The ground was really close now and I could see the buildings with better detail, or lack there of. The buildings mostly had some kind of yellow roofing and the roads appeared to be brown, dirt roads maybe? Well I went back to preparing to jump at the right time when the tips of the ArachDrone’s legs opened up sort of like a pyramid if it were cut along the edges of the point. I snapped back to reality and noticed then in a few seconds would be the right time to jump. I got in position for the jump and I pushed of the Drone and upwards I went.
Things didn’t go as expected. I jumped yes but when I jumped my feet were still touching the Drone, so when I actually landed, I tumbled over the side. I quickly grabbed one of the ArachDrone’s legs tos slow my fall when I noticed that we didn’t crash into the ground. I looked down and saw that we were actually a few dozen meters from the ground which turned out to actually be the center of the town I saw earlier. The Drone slowly started to land and was only ten feet from the ground when I lost my grip and fell. I landed and did a quick roll to ensure no bodily harm. I was glad that I didn’t fall to my death but realizing that me holding on to the Drone was the reason I survived the fall, which meant that the Drone is still functional and don’t destroyed. I quickly turned around to see the Drone fully land with it’s legs back to normal. It turned towards me, and then I realized that it’s my enemy when it shot a rocket at me. I jumped to the side and dodged it while it exploded where I was just standing. The Drone turned towards me again and started shooting at me with it’s energy cannons. I was dodging and jumping, trying not to get shot, and I looked at it to see that my sword was still embedded in it’s back.
I dodged another three blast and remembered my other SP14, so I pulled it out and started shooting at it’s left rocket launcher. After a few hits the launcher exploded and destroyed the left cannon too. I was about to shoot the right one when another rocket cam at me. I barely dodged that one when I started hearing voices, but I stayed concentrated on the ArachDrone. I dived forward to dodged another barrage of lasers and started shooting at the legs. I hit and destroyed three of them while still running and jumping to avoid being hit when another rocket came at me. I couldn’t get far enough and the blast threw a few meters away. I got up and looked back at the Drone, which was trying to move closer but was awkwardly walking with it’s odd number of limbs.
I again began shooting, this time aiming for the ‘eyes’. I hit a few and it started to have less accurate aiming. I took this as my chance at aiming for the launcher again, hitting it with another display of sparks and shrapnel. This left the Drone without any long range weapons, and it knew that very well. It started towards me and swing one of it’s front legs towards me, but I wasn’t ready to become skewered. I dodged a few attacks and grabbed on to the swing leg, swung myself upwards, and landed on top of the mechanical monster. I lunged for my cutlass and pulled it out of the robot’s back. I jumped onto the head of the ArachDrone and stabbed it right in the center of it’s head.
I pulled the sword out and jumped off. I landed and heard the satisfactory sound of the bot crashing to the ground behind me, sparks flying from the top of it’s head. I looked back to just to make sure, even though it was obviously not going to get back up. I turned back around when I saw something I never thought I would see in real life: Ponies.
At first I was just staring at them while they stared at me. Are they actually there? Did they watch the entire fight? As to confirm my suspicions, they backed up slowly while I blinked to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. ‘Well they’re actually there, and I’m not crazy so that’s good’ I thought while still standing there, gawking. I snapped back to reality and backed up a bit when suddenly I heard some sort of ‘AHHHH’ yelling noise, but not a ‘Run for your lives!’ yell but more of a ‘CHARGE!’ yell. I heard it getting closer from behind me and quickly jumped to the side, barely dodging the streak of color that was flying towards me. ‘Yep, that proves it, I’m in Equestria’ I thought.
Suddenly white ponies in golden armor started to surround the area where the battle took place. I knew these to be Royal Guards, when heard the same yelling from before, so I jumped to the side and rolled on the ground before getting back up to see the color streak stop a few meters away from, revealing a mare I knew all too well: The Element of Loyalty herself, Rainbow Dash. She was glaring at me, but I guessed it was because I was some alien who fell from the sky with another alien and destroyed said other alien. From between the guards who were blocking me from the crowd came the rest of the Elements of Harmony, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy.
They went and stood next to their friend while I was keeping careful watch over them and the guards as to not be caught off guard. That’s when I heard something coming from behind me, and I turned around to see what, or in this case who, it could be.
There, in front of me stood Princess Celestia. She was looking at me with both caution and curiosity. I knew she might think I’m a threat if I do or say anything against them so I said the simplest thing that could cause a HUGE reaction.
“Uh...Hi…” I said suddenly.
Princess Celestia suddenly stepped back, apparently not expecting me to talk. “You can speak? Can You understand me?” she asked slowly.
“Yeah, I can understand you and I obviously can speak because I am speaking right now,” I said cautiously.
She seemed to go into that pokerface that she’s well known for. “Will you put down your sword, please,” she said with a calm yet commanding demeanor.
“Sorry, but I can’t do that,” I said, even though I knew things were going to go downhill from here on out.
“Then tell me, why can you not put your weapon down?” she replied.
“Well you have a lot of guards here, so why would I have to put down my sword if they don’t have to put down their spears?” I responded which caused the guards to advance as well as Rainbow to get into a battle stance.
“I know they have spears to defend me and my subjects while I don’t know why you have a sword besides the possibility of you attacking my subjects,” she said with a hint of suspiciousness.
“Well I have a sword to only defend myself and others so you should understand why,” I replied
“Yes, I do...Now what are you and why are you here?” she asked.
“My ali-I mean my name is Incognito Blazer and I am a Human being from the planet Earth. As for why am I here, well I can’t tell you because I’m not sure myself,” I answered.
“I am Princess Celes-” without thinking I cut her off.
“Celestia,” I suddenly realized I didn’t say that in my head as I originally thought, and that 1) I just cut her off and 2) They now know that I know their princess’ name.
Suddenly, something hits by back and I fall of balance. I hit the ground while I can feel a weight on my back.
“How do you know Princess Celestia’s name!?” I heard who I can guess is Rainbow say.
“Uh...she told me?” I say hoping she buys it.
“She never finished telling you!” She responds before suddenly gasping. “*gasp* Are you a SPY?!” She asked.
“Ummm...well I can be a spy b-” She cuts me off.
“HA! So you admit it! Twilight! I told you I would find a spy one day!” She yells to Twilight.
“Yes, Rainbow, you did, but did you really have to yell?” Twilight responds.
Rainbow ignores that last part of Twilight’s response and tells me “Well, SPY! You aren’t going anywhere because I caught you and you can’t get away from me, Rainbow Dash, Fastest flyer in ALL Equestria, because NOPONY CAN GET AWAY FROM ME!”
‘Huh, guess she really does have quite an ego...’ I think to myself and decide to do something about her because no one can keep Incognito captive for very long...and because her hooves feel like their digging into my back.
“Well I guess I’m going to be the first!” I said while rolling to the side, which caused her to tip over and fall off me. I get up and turn towards her. She gets up and glares at me and is about to lunge for me when suddenly I’m surrounded by guards with spears pointed at me. I look towards Celestia and she looks at me with a disapproving look.
“How do I know that you aren’t hostile? They way you responded and acted towards the Element of Loyalty show that you can possibly be a threat to this land.” She said.
“Well I can promise you that I am not a threat to this land and that you can trust me. Let me stay here for a week and if you get complaints from any of the ponies of this town, you can decide if I should stay or if I should go, sound good?” I responded.
“Hmmm...OK, one week, Incognito Blazer, and then I shall decide,” She replied with a stern expression.
“Thanks, and you can just call me Blazer, along with everyone else here,” I replied.
“Well I hope you can prove yourself for your own good, because even though I have to wait a week to do something, the Elements of Harmony don’t,” She said with a smirk.
I looked towards the Mane 6. All of them had neutral expressions, except fro Rainbow who was still glaring at me.
Even though I have a plan for this, I didn’t account for the ArachDrone and for being a ‘Spy’ to Rainbow Dash...This could get bad...

Chapter 2: The chapter where nothing really happens
Well I have one week...I think I can succeed in showing I’m not a threat to the ponies in one week. Yep, I am absolutely confident that no one, or no pony in this case, will make this any more difficult than it already is…
“And Blazer, I’ll also be leaving guards here as a precaution. I’m sure that you can understand my concern,” Princess Celestia said before turning and walking (trotting?) towards a chariot I hadn’t noticed.
‘Ok, now what?’ I thought to myself ‘I could either introduce myself, or run, which the latter wouldn’t make a good first impression...Yeah, I’ll go with the introductions...’ I concluded before turning back to the main 6. They were still watching me cautiously and probably were thinking of what to make of this whole ordeal.
“Sooo…looks like I’m stuck here for a week, so I guess I should introduce myself, I’m IncognitoBlazer, but you can call me Blazer, Incognito, or Incog but I prefer Blazer,” I introduced myself.
The six ponies just stood there watching, or glaring in Rainbow’s case, until Twilight snapped back to reality.
“Oh, um, nice to meet you Blazer, I’m Twilight Sparkle and these are my friends, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Rainbow Dash,” she said while pointing to her friends in that order, while they said ‘Hi’ in their own ways. Even though I already knew their name’s, I have to play along as long as possible so I wouldn’t appear too suspicious.
“Nice to meet you, too. Just to make it clear, I’m not gonna hurt anyon-I mean anypony, so you don’t need to worry but if you still want to be cautious around me, then I completely understand,” I said. And then awkward silence happened. ‘Oh, right, I’ll need a place to stay for the week’ I thought to myself before speaking again.
“So, because I’m stuck here for the week, I’m gonna need a place to stay,” I said sheepishly. They all looked at each other and started whispering, which I could hear they were discussing who would be the one to provide me with shelter.
“Well Blazer, I guess you can stay with me for the night and then figure something out tomorrow. As for now, welcome to Ponyville, and we can give you a tour if you’d like,” Twilight said with an awkward smile.
“That sounds like a plan and a tour would be nice but one question, what do we do about the pile of metal over there?” I replied pointing towards the ArachDrone. At the mention of the robotic arachnid, everypony turned towards it.
“Umm...What is that thing by the way?” Rainbow asked with a raised brow while staring at the Drone.
“Well that Rainbow, is an ArachDrone. Mean spider-like robots that are made to hunt down and exterminate targets, such as me. They are very dangerous unless you know exactly how to deal with one,” I answered a bit louder than needed.
“If it’s dangerous, then shouldn’t we do something like maybe get to safety?” Fluttershy asked nervously. I thought she might’ve been worried about it.
“Well, no, I already destroyed it’s main power source and it’s too damaged to be repaired. We’ll be fine,” I assured her. To my relief it seemed to work and she stopped looking so nervous.
“Well we should either tell the guards to take it away or we could get rid of it somehow,” Twilight said.
“Or we could keep it!” Pinkie replied, causing me and the rest of the six to stare at her. “What?” she asked.
“We could leave it here as modern art, after I arrange rearrange the parts to make it look better,” I suggested, which caused the six ponies to look at me as if I were crazy, which I very well could be. “It would make for a very interesting statue, don’t you think?” I said.
“I think it would frighten ponies more than interest them,” Rarity answered. “We should get rid of it instead,”
“Fine,” I said with a sigh. “But what do we do about the crowd of ponies that’s currently staring at us, more specifically me?” I asked after looking towards the crowd, seeing expressions of curiosity, fear, worry, and what could be disgust.
“Oh, I’ll handle this, Blazer, they’ll listen to me,” Twilight answers. She then trots towards the crowd and starts talking to them, but I didn’t listen and paid more attention to my new surroundings. It wasn’t very different from the show, except for it looking less cartoony. After a few seconds I started noticing that the crowd was dispersing and guessed that whatever Twilight told them got them to go back to their everyday lives. After that we went on the tour I was offered and then headed towards the library. I still got stares from most of the ponies while others would whisper things to each other, which I could only catch a few words.
We arrived at the library and entered. Twilight asked me quite a few questions like what I am, name of my species, how was my world like, things like that, which she wrote down a lot of. It was starting to get late and Twilight said that I was sleeping in the guest room, which I expected.
So I just lay there thinking about today’s events. Two things happened today that I thought would never happen: Returning home, and going to Equestria. Then It hit me: What about my team? Did they fight off those Hunters? Did they get hit by that teleportation ray thing? Did they escape? Were they still…? No, they had to be alive. If they lasted without me for a year then they can last even longer. I’m not a necessity to the team, just a part of it.
I slowly started drifting into unconsciousness until I was finally asleep.
