Eren rested his head against the window of the train with a long frown stuck to his face. He felt something warm stream down his face giving him the sign that he was crying. He closed his eyes and tried to stop himself from crying. He leaned away from the window and buried his face in his hands. He silently sobbed, for he knew he would have to be transferred once again from bullying or other things in school for either not having parents, the way he looks or how he acts.

But Eren wasn't always a sad, silent and down kid. Before he lost his parents in an accident, he was a bright, friendly kid who always had a perky and fun attitude. But his parent's deaths in a car accident had a huge impact on his life. He was practically forced to leave the school, even though the school didn't want to send him away, they had to.

"Ponyville Station ahead!" The conductor called.

Eren raised his head and wiped his eyes and ruffled his wings a bit. He had a light grey coat, a blood red mane with a pair of amethyst eyes, he always wore a grey with white striped shirt with a black jacket and a pair of blue jeans. He always carried his duffle bag wherever he went, due to clothes and valuables that he couldn't let go. His full name was Eren Cloudchaser II, named after his father.

The train came to a hissing stop and Eren stood up and threw his duffle back around him. He nodded to the conductor who smiled in return. He got off the train and looked around to see if anyone was here to meet him.

"Next stop, The Crystal Empire!" The conductor announced.

Eren saw six ponies board the train and a purple drake waving towards them. He exited the station and walked to Ponyville. He glanced at the piece of paper that they gave him that had the address and looked around. He finally found the address next to a sign that said, "Sweet Apple Acres". He leaned against the wooden fence and looked around the farm.

He saw a field of luscious apple trees, crops of wheat and vegetables, a tall red barn and a farm house with a tree house next to it. He adjusted his duffle bag and hopped over the fence and made his way to the farm house, being sure to take the path, not wanting to ruin any crops.

Eren knocked on the screen door and waited for an answer. After a few minutes he heard a voice from inside. He saw through the screen door a mare with a yellow coat, crimson red hair and a pair of golden eyes that shined. She smiled and opened the door.

"Hi there! You must be Eren, I'm Applebloom." She greeted.

"Hi, Applebloom." Eren replied.

"Come on in, I'll show you around." Applebloom waved him along.

Eren hesitated for a moment, but continued forward, closing the door behind him. He followed Applebloom around the house as she gave him a tour. They entered Applebloom's bedroom and Eren looked around.

"You'll have to just sleep on the floor until we find you a matress." Applebloom said.

Eren looked over at Applebloom and sighed.

"Sorry." She said.

Eren shrugged and walked off to find a good spot on the floor. He sat down near the outlet and plugged his laptop charger in. He pulled his laptop out of his duffle bag and plugged in as he sat down. Sighing, he opened his laptop slightly, but then closed it. He shook his head and put it aside. He stood up and walked over to Applebloom. She turned and looked up at him. Eren was about a foot taller than her.

"What is it?" Appleboom asked.

"Is there, anything to do in town?" He asked.

Applebloom grinned. "Well, I was just about to go out with my friends, you could join us if you want." Applebloom replied.

"Sure." Eren said.

Eren went over to his duffle bag and pulled out a cruiser board and went downstairs and outside. He sat in the front porch waiting for Applebloom. He heard the door open and saw her standing there. She was wearing cuffed up jeans with a bright yellow T-Shirt. She also had a red bow in her mane.

"Come on, let's go." Applebloom walked past him.

Eren nodded and dropped his board in front of him and hopped onto it. He stretched his shoulders, legs and wings.

"Why don't you just use you wings?" Applebloom asked.

Eren looked at her and simply shrugged.

"I dunno, probably because we're walking together, and I want it to stay that way. I need to be close by, just in case." He replied.

"Hmm, fair enough." Applebloom said with a smile.

Eren rode on his board at a slow enough pace that Applebloom could keep up. They went into town and saw two mares standing in front of a cafe. One of them had a pink and violet mane and a pale white coat and a pair of emerald green eyes. She wore a white Polo shirt with rolled up sleeves and black skinny jeans.

The other mare had a dark orange coat with a dark violet mane with violet eyes. She wore a black T-Shirt with shorts. She stood on a scooter and talked to the other mare. Eren got off his board and they approached the mares.

"Hey girls! This is Eren the guy I was tellin' you about." Applebloom said.

"Hey there Eren!" The mares said in unison.

Eren simply waved slightly as he sat down on a nearby chair. Applebloom pulled the two mares into a huddle and put a little bit of distance between Eren and them.

"Alright girls, try not to be too harsh on him. He's been through a lot of rough times, and this is his sixth transfer this month. So don't mention anything about his parents, and make him feel welcome." Applebloom whispered.

"But where will he be staying? Rarity and I would be glad to have him join us in the boutique." Sweetie whispered quickly glancing over at Eren and back.

"He's staying with me and AJ, we've established that already, and AJ's fine with it. Plus I don't think he'd wanna be a slave to Rarity." Applebloom replied.

"Slave? She'd never treat him as a--" Applebloom raised an eyebrow at Sweetie, "Alright fine, he can stay with you."

Sweetie and Applebloom looked over to where Scootaloo was standing and found her missing. They looked over at Eren to her sitting with him.

"So, how easily can you use your wings?" Scootaloo asked.

"Uh, just fine actually. Why?" Eren replied.

"Oh nothing, it just took me a while, because when I was a kid, everypony used to call me chicken because I couldn't fly.  Just like a chicken."

Eren saw the sadness on Scootaloo's face and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, at least you can use them now. So now you can't be called chicken anymore. Think of yourself like an eagle... piloting a blimp or something..." Scootaloo looked at him quizzically.

"What? I don't know honestly what to say." Eren muttered standing up.

"Where are you going?" Sweetie asked.

"Uh nowhere, I'm waiting you guys." Eren replied.

The mares looked at each other then walked forward ahead of Eren, who quickly followed behind them.

After a few long hours of bonding with the mares who used to call themselves the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Eren decided to head home with Appelbloom. It was just getting dark and Eren and Applebloom walked down the dirt path. Eren stayed silent while Applebloom thought what to start a conversation with Eren about.

"Ya know. You can ask about my parents." Eren muttered.

Applebloom gasped lightly and looked over at Eren.

"Seriously, it's alright." He said.

"But, doesn't thinking about them make you feel down?" Applebloom asked.

"Yeah but, everyone seems to ask about them, and make fun of me just for not having any. I honestly don't know why it's such a big deal..." Eren sighed.

Applebloom was silent for the rest of the walk home. Eren guessed she felt bad, and he felt that he shouldn't have mentioned it. They slowly began to drift away from each other until they got home. They walked towards the farmhouse and Eren saw a shadowy figure standing in the door way it's hands on it's hips.

"Where in tarnation were you Applebloom?!" It shouted.

Applebloom opened her mouth to reply but was quickly cut off.

"Nevermind just get inside now! You had me, Big Mac and Granny Smith worried half to death." She growled.

"AJ don't worry I was with---"

"With who? Your friends? Look Applebloom, I know you three can take care of each other what if something happened and I wasn't there, or anybody in that case?" Applejack asked.

"But--"

"No 'buts'! Just get inside now!" She shouted.

"Uhm..." Eren mumbled.

Applejack stopped and turned around.

"What in the world?"

Applejack turned on the porchlight and froze when she saw Eren standing there. His eyes stayed glued to the ground and he held his board in his hands. He looked up at Applejack who had a shocked expression on her face.

"O-oh, uh. Didn't see ya there, who are ya?" Applejack asked.

"I'm Eren Cloudchaser II." Eren replied.

"Yeah, the one that agreed to come live with us?" Applebloom butted in.

"Oh... well then. Come on inside. Sorry you had to see that." Applejack said scratching her head.

"Trust me," Eren said, "I've seen worse." He mumbled as he passed by Applejack.

Eren walked inside and shut the door behind him with Applebloom near his side. Applejack sighed and grumbled as she sat down on the porch.

"How could I forget about him?" She murmured to herself.

Eren sat on the floor near his laptop as Applebloom watched him from her bed as his fingers flew across the keyboard. Eren stopped for a second and looked over at Applebloom who looked away.

"Don't mind me, just, writing my stories." He sighed.

"Why do you write?" Applebloom asked.

"To keep my sanity." Eren replied flatly.

Applebloom looked at him quickly.

"I'm joking, I write when I either bored or trying to sleep. It helps... sometimes." He said.

"As a matter of fact," he yawned, "I think it's already working."

Eren closed his laptop and set it aside as he reached into his duffle bag and pulled out a blanket and an MP3 Player with headphones attached to it. He pulled the covers over him as his music blared through his headphones. Applebloom giggled before getting up and going into the bathroom to change.

A few minutes later she came out pajamas, which was sweat pants and a red sports bra. She sprung onto her bed with a relieved sigh and pulled blankets over her as she snuggled herself into her bed. She opened her eyes and looked over at Eren who was already sound asleep. She rolled over and rested her head on the pillow and sighed once more before falling asleep.
