Years after Twilight became a princess, Ponyville's heroes drift apart, starting families and following their dreams. Growing into an adolescent dragon and now on his own, Spike ventures across Equis as Equestria's envoy to the surrounding nations. During a routine trip to the Griffon empire, he encounters ruins of a town he knew had been flourishing merely weeks before. In an effort to report his discovery, he investigates the ruins and the cause behind them, but just how far is he willing to go before he returns to Canterlot to inform his Princesses of the destroyed town.
