My life after earth

"Well I sent the letter Matthew, we should expect a reply anytime soon." Twilight says turning towards me. Of course I'm not paying attention while humming this song and thinking about home, and suddenly realizing how hard this is starting too hit me.

I'm obviously making some kind of face cause Twilight gives me a worried expression and asks, "Are you Okay?" "Hmmm.. Oh yes I'm fine Twilight I was just thinking about home is all, It's kind of depressing worrying about how your family is doing." I say trying not to sound depressed. "Well maybe if the Princess comes to Ponyville to meet you maybe she can find a way to send you back." She says with confidence in the Princess. "Impossible Twili...." She cuts me off, "This is the Princess I'm positive she could find a way to send you back." she looks towards me annoyed as if I doubted the Princess. "Twilight I'm not doubting the Princess, so stop looking so annoyed please, it's just.... I don't think you can bring back what's already gone." I say still trying not to get emotional.

"....What do you mean bring back what's gone?" she asks confusedly. "....Twilight .....I ... I died on my world." I say with a few tears running down my cheeks. "I had gotten into a fight with my mother over something I don't want to talk about right now, so I stormed off into the freezing rain, towards an old parking building, the... The floor collapsed, and I fell and was impaled by a metal pole, ....I never got to say I'm sorry to my mother or say that I love any of my family members, it just happened, That's why I was humming that song and was being so distant after the letter was sent, and ...I think that's the main reason why I'm trying to be so cheery, So You/I don't have to think about it." We both say at that last part, her with tears running down her face and of course I wasn't fairing to well either.

"I'm ....I'm sorry Matthew." she says. "Don't be Twilight, you have nothing to be sorry for, as the saying on my planet goes stuff happens, heheh, .....except a little more ruder I suppose would be correct." We both sit there in silence for a minute or two before she asks, "Is it okay if I could hear that song you were humming?" "Of course Twilight, it was one of my favorite songs from a game I used to play, It was called The Song of Healing. It's a song that when listened to, it is believed to heal you spiritually, and in many ways it's helped me...if you want I can sing it." I say "Sure I would like that Matthew."

I had finished the song, starting to feel a little bit better, but of course that is why it's called the Song of Healing I suppose. "That ....That was beautiful." she says looking a lot better than before. "Yeh it's a very haunting song, but in a way, even though it has no magical properties, it heals you, and makes you feel better, .....heheh it would be funny if a mask fell off of one of our faces." I say laughing at my inside joke. "....heheh what?" she asks with a chuckle. "Oh nothing Twilight just an inside joke from the game." I chuckle back. "Hmm... wow it get's nighttime, early here in Equestria, I suppose I should go hunt around, for some wood and su...." she cuts me off ....again. "Oh no you're staying here I have both a couch and a spare room, take your pick." she says. "Hmm..... I think I'll take the cou....." SHE CUTS ME OFF AGAIN WTF MAN. "Spare room it is then."

We both got everything ready for bed and Spike and I both made sure the books were clean and such, before we all sat down and ate dinner, it was hay roast, that for some reason tastes exactly like eating pork roasts..... I blame magic. And after that we all went to bed so we can get a head start on what awaits us the next day.
