Light Runner

"M-Midnight?"

"Yes, come one!" Alex help me up, before turning around. "O-Okay!"

Alex start too run, while I'm following him. I could run way faster then him, but in a big strange world and those bad humans following us, I feel safer with him close-by ... and I don't want to lose him. He cared for me afterall, he is a true friend. And still I hope to come back ... to MY home ... Equestria. I hope he can come with me ...

"This way!" I follow him as close as possible. He runs trough little ways and alleys, because the big streets are way to dangerous, to easy to spot us. I still think, some of them saw me. Then we hear again a loud noise. "Helicopter?! They sending a fucking helicopter now?! We're not dangerous!"

It's still night outside, so the helicopter uses a light spell or whatever.

"It's dark, we should avoid any light. I hope, you find out soon, how to come back. We are really screwed, when they spot us again." I look to him. "I'm fast, I could easily escape from them. But you can't. And sorry, that you have now all the trouble just to protect me ..."

"No problem. I'm here to help you, right?" I let out a sigh. "Right ..."

"Okay, le-woah, stopstopstop ..." Before I could even move forward, I stopped myself. "What's wrong?"

He points to a human. "Special Forces? Really? To catch or kill an unarmed human and a harmless pony?"

"Is he turning around?" He grabs me. "Yes, fast behind this dumpster."

We run behind the dumpster, in hope, that the human didn't spotted us. "Quiet now ..."

We hear steps coming closer. Alex stands up a little, ready to attack if he has to. "Come out, whoever is behind the dumpster!"

Of course, we stayed behind it. "If you are not coming out, then I have the permission to shoot. We are looking for an alien, we are not going to hurt you. Come out."

We still don't move. We hear again steps, closer and closer. "I said ..."

Before the human could finish his sentence, Alex jumps out from behind the dumpster. The surprise works, he punches few times on his face, before the human falls uncouncious to the ground. Then Alex take something from him. "Is that not one of those things, that kill ponies?"

"Yeah. I ... just keep it for ... if we have no choice." I let out a frown. "You going that far? Only to protect me?"

But Alex doesn't reply. "Alex?"

"I'm thinking ... let's hide in the building. We are screwed outside. It's an old building, not in use anymore. We should be save there, at least for a while." I follow him to the building. We walk to the back entrance. The door is luckily open, so he opens the door and we walk in quietly. It is really not in use anymore. Nopony is around here. Doors standing wide open. Dust and spider webs all around.

"Why is this building not used anymore?" He thinks for a second. "There was a fire, around a month ago. Trough the danger that the building could collapse, everyone had to leave the building and move somewhere else. Because of the other buildings that are directly to this one, they decide that no one is allowed to enter it. So, they shouldn't expect us here ... for the moment at least."

"And we are stupid enough, to walk in a big building, that could collapse every second?" He chuckles. "Yes."

"Are you sure, it ..." He boops my nose. "Hey, we die here or we die somewhere else when they catch us. Do wereally have a choice left? Better then nothing, right?"

"I guess." We walk a few stairs, before we walk into one of the rooms. "We stay here for a while. Afterall, sooner or later, we need food."

"And what do we do now?" He looks to me. "You try to think again, how you got here. If we know, how you came here, we can use it to bring you back home."

"Okay, okay." I try to think about it again. Trying to remember every single detail. I did run fast ... throwing Lightning Thunder from the platform ... we lied on the railway track ... I punched on his face, a lot ... blood, everywhere ... Then a noise, a typical noise ... when a train comes ... I saw light ... and then waking up by Alex, one week later ...

"Sorry, I just remember hearing a train, before I woke up in your bed, Alex." He sighs. "Really nothing unusual?"

KLICK! There was something!

"There was something ... while I punched Thunder's face, I feeled something inside me ... something strange, can't really describe that. Short before the train came ..." He looks hopefully to me. "Mayby that's what broght you here? Can you explain, how this feeling came?"

"Nope, it just came." He sighs. "Okay ... pssst, I hear something."

The door crashes and the same human from before comes in, aiming with one of those deadly things to us. "Wowowow, calm down! We are no enemies!"

"What is with ... that?!" He points to me. "Hey, only because I came from a different world, doesn't mean, I'm dangerous. I don't hurt anypony. Look at you. You point one of those things on us. Did I do anything wrong? I want to go back to my world."

"Who says, that you are not lying?" I facehoof myself. "Who says, that I'm lying?"

He looks to me. I can see his finger, moving on the trigger ... and then I hear a shot ... but not from him. "Wha-? Alex?"

Alex ... Alex shoot him.

"W-What did I done ...?" I look to him worried. "Alex, are you alright?"

"... we should run to the roof, now." I shake his leg nervously. "Alex?"

Alex start to run out of the room, making his way upstairs. I stand still, unknown what to say, until I hear more voices from downstairs. I start running up, but bump into one of them. "Shoot it!"

I dodge the shot, kicking one of them away. That short moment gives me the chance, to run upstairs. "Follow that thing!"

I running as fast as possible upstairs, reaching the roof. Alex stands close to the edge. "Alex! Don't!"

"I'm sorry, Light ... I gone too far ... I killed someone ... I can't live anymore with that ..." The light from that helicopter blending me, but I stay focussed on Alex. I slowly walk to him. "Alex ... please ..."

"Light ... run fast ... jump from roof to roof ... you are fast enough, you can escape. I'm already dead." I glare to him. "Stop that! You have done so much for me! You protected me! You cared for me!"

"Too late ..." I start to shiver. "No ..."

Then I hear a shot again ... it hit Alex in his chest. "Run ... Light ..."

"ALEX!" I see only his body falling from the roof. "NOOOOOO!!!"

Again a strange feeling comes into me. "Give up and you stay alive!"

I slowly turn around, angry and sad at the same time, tears running from my eyes. "Are you that stupid?!"

"We warned you." The feeling gets stronger ... like before I landed here.

I slowly move forward to them. "Stop!"

I keep walking. Then I hear a shot ...
