Light Runner

I wake up, seeing that Alex is already out from the bed. "I going to visit my friend today. Don't worry, I come back. Don't run away again, okay?"

"Of course not." I think, it's the best to take some more sleep.

It feeled like few minutes, when somepony shakes me hard. I open my eyes to see the clock. It is already about a hour ago, since I went back to sleep again. "Hey, what is it?"

"Have you to do with this?!" I wince by the way he said it, looking up to him. "To do with what?"

"Oh nothing, my friend just learned to fly by himself and then fell from very high and smashed on the ground. Not a pretty look with all the blood ..." I gasp in shock, but also confused at the same time. "What?!"

"And humans can not fly! So do you know anything about that?!" I shake my head hard as possible. "No! I don't know, how that could even happen. I'm really sorry for your friend Jack, really ..."

"It's still strange ... well. Looks like, we have a day for us now ..." Right then it knocks on the door. "Who could that be?"

"I don't know, Light. Hide under my bed, now." I look worried, crawling under it as he told me to do. "Okay, Alex."

I still can hear everything from here. I hear the door opening. "Hello. Alex, right? We heard, that you are a friend from Jack, the men, who died not long ago under mysterious circumstances."

"Uhm, yeah, that's me, why?" Doesn't sound like they know each other ...

"We are from an organisation about mystery accidents. MAO. This area is already a bit longer under the *possible danger* area. We have strange signs here since last thursday, in the forest nearby. Also in this house here. Now, Jack died unnaturally and you was there, when this happened. We think, that you or something in your house is an alien." Why do I get the feeling, the *alien* is a brown pony named Light Runner?

"Aliens? Oh, is that a joke or something? Didn't know, that we have already the first april ..." I hear something hitting the door or anything else hard. "This is NO joke. Ryan, scan him."

I hear only a strange noise, before they start talking again. "Few traces from an alien, sir. But he isn't the one."

"Okay, Alex, can we go in your house to look around?" Oh-oh ...

"No. Why?" Keep them away ...

"Too look, if we find the alien here." I'm not an alien ...

"I should known the best, if an alien is in my house, right?" Exactly, just a pastelcolored, undangerous pony here.

"Right, but we can never-"

"I ... said ... no!" Again smashing on something hard. "Then it is an order now!"

"What?"

"Check the bedroom fi-"

"No! I think, there is something going on in the kitchen to be honest ... Look there first, okay?"

"Hmmm ... well, if you mean, we go to the kitchen first." I hear again noises of steps. Then the door goes open. I wince under the bed, before noticing, that it is Alex. "Light? Jump out of the window, wait by my car quietly. We have to leave, we are not save here anymore. I opened the car, climb in."

"O-okay, Alex." Alex walks out of the room, while I went to the window and jump down as quietly as possible. It wasn't that high luckily. I land safely and sneak to the car. Alex comes to me, open the door for me and we climb both inside the car, he on the front. I'm on the backside, hiding myself. He closes the door and starts to move backwards with his car. "I told them, I have to buy something. They don't know, that I never come back."

"What do you mean with *Never come back*?" He rolls his eyes. "They are to close to find out about you. We have to find a way for you to go back to Equestria, Light. As fast as possible."

"But what is with you? When they find out, that you helped me?" He sighs. "Well, I somehow can come with you then or I get probably killed by trying to help you. You told me about your situation there. I think you have a more important life there then me here. Also, even when I got friends and became the coolest guy at work, I still feel lonely ... Jack ... and you ... helped me feel better. But now, that Jack died and you have sooner or later go back to Equestria ..."

"Sorry ..." I wince, when Alex makes the car faster. "FUCK! THEY FOLLOW US! Stay down, Light!"

I lower my head. I hear loud noises, like, they shoot something against us. "What do they do?!"

"Shooting at us!" I keep my head low. "Is that dangerous?"

"If this isn't just something to knock us out, then YES!" I stay low, holding my hooves over my head. Normally, I would run fast away, but inside here, I can't run. And I wont leave him alone. "Hold on tight, this is going to be fucked up!"

I hold on tight on the front seat as good as I can. I feel the car getting faster ... strange feeling, when you get faster without doing anything for it. Then I hear Alex voice again. "Sirens? Damn, they sending cops too now?! Well, this is going to be harder then I hoped, let's drive to the bridge!"

"Can I sit next to you? When I don't have to hide anyway anymore." He nods to the free seat. "I think, that's really no problem anymore!"

I climb to the seat next to him, sitting down and use this thing, he use, to be safer. "For what is that?"

"That saves your life in the best case scenario, if I make an crash. That probably happens sooner or later!" I make it tight and look to the front. We really drive fast!

"We have to get away. Curve to left!" He drives the car to the street left from us. He follows the street, the other cars still following us. It continues like that for 10 minutes, when we reach the bridge finally. The hunting cars coming closer. "They coming darn close, Alex! Faster!"

"I can't drive faster!" BUMP! One of the cars bumped into our car. Alex has no control anymore. The car crashes on the bridge side, then it flips over. We only can watch, how we in the car, fall from high above into the river ...

I open my eyes slowly, my head hurting hard. I notice, that I'm still in the car. Looks like, I don't have heavy injuries. I look to Alex. He seems really hurted, but I hear him breathing. "A-Alex? You alright?"

Thank Celestia, he open his eyes.

"I-I'm fine ... where are we?" I look out the car window. "Still in the car ... it's dark around us."

"You are right, but why? Is it ...?" We see a fish swarm swimming outside from the car. "Oh oh ..."

"What?" I look nervous to him. "It's dark, because we are under water."

"Wait, we are inside the water?" He nods. "Windows are broken a little."

We look closely to the cracks on the window. I look close to one of the cracks. Water drips slowly through it. Then the cracks getting larger. "The windows are going to break completly. Open the door, but hold tight, there will come a lot of water. Hold your breath, can you swim?"

"Yes!" He nods. "Okay, ready?!"

"Ready!" I hold tight on the place, pressing the handle and press against the door as hard as possible. Lot of pressure, but right at the moment, the door moves a bit open. Water shoots inside the car. The pressure hits me harder then I thought. I get smashed against Alex and get knock out again ...

I open my eyes slowly. I feel sick. Water flowing in my muzzle. I'm going to drown...

But something ... or somepony ... holds me. Weakly, I look slowly above, seeing light, coming closer and closer, before I close my eyes ...

"Light! Don't die! LIGHT! Please!" Again, my eyes going open slowly. A shadow looking down to me. "S-Sky? I-Is it y-you?"

"It's me, Alex. We've managed to avoid drowning. I'm glad, you are alive. I don't think, that they find us soon here. We should be safe for now." I look into his eyes. "Y-You saved me?"

"That's what friends are for, right?" He smiles to me. "R-Right."

"We are on an area, where homeless people are living. Well, we are homeless too now. You really swallowed a lot of water, you need rest now. Lie down, try to sleep. I don't think, we have a whole day to rest ... mayby not even a half day." He smiles calmly. "It's okay, Alex. Do you not fear, they see me?"

"I don't think, they are completly sane. Just lie here, okay? Take a nap, Light." I lie my head back, closing my eyes, trying to sleep. I sleep really, really long, when Alex wakes me up.

"Light ... time to go." I look confused, slowly standing up. "Uhm, did they found us?"

"No, but they are close by. You sleeped long, it's already midnight right now ..."
