TO EQUESTRIA!!!
My name... is Devon. This is the tale of my two friends, my brother, and I took an unexpected trip to Equestria. I wont bore you with all the details of EVERYONES introduction, so lets get strait into to the story shall we?
"Boom head shot!" Mason had just scored another kill with his huntsman bow! He kinda loves to rub it in when he pulls off anything cool like that. Needless to say, the blue heavy never saw it coming.
"Hey Dante .5 health .5 health" My brother was yelling in a half hysterical voice, something he does whenever he has to face red Vergil in “Devil May Cry 3”.
"Grrrraaaaaaaaaahhh!!!" Chris yelled, he had just been stuck with a plasma grenade... AGAIN. He grunted irritably, "Man, I HATE those things!"
"Can it guys, I'm all most done killing Kessler, and he's the toughest boss in Infamous!" I said, Super focused as i shot Kessler with a megawatt hammer, his health sooo close to being empty!
Suddenly, all of our screens froze... we all sat at our desks for a few seconds before the shock of the freeze wore off. All at once we let out our individual irritated opinions, My Skype window lagging from all the movement and noise that wasn’t there before the freeze.
"NOOO! I was SO close to KILLING him!! WHY, GAME, WHY?!?!" I yelled, My brother having shouted something similar, simultaneously flipping off our screens.
"Man, I was SO close to getting to the intelligence room with the spy!" Mason said with very clear bitterness in his voice.
"Well... games froze... let's call it a night guys. I'm tired, My brother can barely keep his head up, and all our games just quit on us.” Chris said. We all agreed, and turned of our computers. After everyone said their simple good night's, we all turned in. Before I finally fell asleep, I simply couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off... one computer freezing up? Well that sucks. Two? Highly unlikely unless it was me and my bro, seeing as how they work on the same network. But 4 systems? 2 PS3's, An Xbox360, AND a computer? In three different places? At the same time? Yeah... something was up... but I was too tired to think anything more than that. I was hard asleep only a few moments later. What I DIDN'T know, was that something was going on in another dimension: a dimension were ponies were the primary inhabitants. A place called “Equestria”.
Somewhere in this dimension, in the land of Equestria, was Canterlot. In Canterlot castle lived the two princesses, fair rulers of the land, and one of them knew: Something was amiss.
Princess Celestia had always been more attuned to the world than her younger sister Luna, she felt that something was not right, all was not in balance as it should be... Celestia was so deep in thought, she was oblivious to Luna having entered the throne room. She had been in this state of deep thought for so long, she hadn't even realized that it was her sisters turn to take over, guarding the night at always.
"Is something the matter, Dear sister? You've hardly moved an inch all day." Luna sounded worried... Celestia hadn’t even asked for he hourly tea since the early morning.
Celestia was brought back to reality by the sound of her sisters voice, she looked at her sister and smiled. "No, sister, everything is fine... it's just.... i felt something I've never felt before... It very well be my imagination, but I cant be sure as of yet. Please, do not concern yourself to deeply with my trifles. Just... Stay alert for me whilst I slumber, and I will be able to rest easy.” Celestia knew that if she raised an alarm, the people of Equestria would suffer under a paranoid Luna, and her hairpin trigger. She would mean no ill will, but her protective nature would see to it that nothing would slip by without notice.
"Of course, Tia, Sleep soundly, I will be vigilant through this night. Now, to bed with you. You will need you strength to raise the sun on the morrow." Luna was worried. She was using her youth to feign oblivious to the situation that she saw all to clearly through.
"Thank you Luna." Celestia meandered to her privet chambers, trying to clear her thoughts. She lay in her bed, eyes closed for a long while before any real rest came to her, all the while being unable to shake the feeling of unease settled in her stomach. Something was about to happen, but for the better or worse, she could not yet tell.
Not too far from Ponyville, there was an orchard, of the apple variety and of Apple ownership. It was know far and wide as “Sweet Apple Acres”.
I woke up, slowly, rubbing away the sleep that didn't want to leave my eyes. It was in the middle of the night, cold, silent, save for the crunch of twigs and leaves that sounded like it was right next to my head. There stood a young woman, her skin tone was a creamy orange and her hair was the golden color of straw... but what really caught my attention was the stetson. Wait... I recognize that from somewhere. So... In case it wasn’t obvious, I'm a Brony(duh), but before now, I'd never seen an anthro applejack before. I’m not proud of the next thing that came out of my mouth- "HOLY SHIT!!! A freaking mutant pony!!!" -Yeah. That. Yup those are the words that came out of my mouth. And you know what? I REGRET NOTHING!!!!!!!!
"WHAT'D YA'LL CALL ME?!" Yeah, Applejack was mad. Great! I just pissed off the element of honesty. Well, to y credit, I manged to combat roll away from resulting punch, which I'm fairly certain would have either broken my skull, or shoved it a good foot into the ground, resulting in some kind of twisted cartoon comedy.
"WAIT! NO! That came out wrong, let me rephrase- WOAH HEY! STOP- OH COME ON! I WAS TRYING TO SAY SORRY!!!" Applejack was clearly too pissed off to listen as I combat rolled away from her punch's and kick's, and let me tell you, the only thing that scared me more than the strength of her strikes, was the speed at which she sent them flying!
"WOAH! WOAAAH! Wait, do you here wings?" I barely had time to get my sentence out before turning my face into a cyan fist. I only realized just then that I was Cole, that was the only explanation as to why my jaw wasn’t 10 feet away. I know, HUGE leap of logic, somewhere among the ranks of spike thinking he could light fires with his mind. I know. Sad right? But I went with it.
"Yo AJ, I heard'ya yell. Figured I'd help this poor sap out before you sent him to the hospital.” Rainbow Dash landed softly next to applejack, shaking her hand and wincing. “Though I gotta admit, I had an easier time breaking down your old barn than giving this guy a right hook.”
"OK, firstly, OOOW!” I was just then getting back to my feet. “Second, you’re probably gonna regret later on." I tried to say as a means to buy myself time to recover. But of course: as my luck would have it, it came out as more of a threat then a warning. Greaaaat, that did jack shit to help my case. What I did next is one of my more dumber ideas. (Pun intended)
'Wait... since I'm Cole i should be able to focus electricity into my hand, right?' Turns out, through Deus Ex Machina, I was right about it, because the next thing I know: my hand is charged with blue lightning.
"Ok, THATS cool!" Rainbow Dash barely got the full sentence out before she was slapped in the back of the head by applejack "OW! What?! It is!!!"
"So what?! He's got some fancy schmancy form of magic, He still needs ta learn not ta trespass on mah family's property!" Applejack was still mad. Was I surprised? Eehhhhh not really, no.
Let me just say now, I did something I shouldn't have. This time, I actually WILL bore you with details. It only took me a second to figured out how to use my new powers- What? I already KNEW the controls!- I looked up at the sky shot two megawatt hammers, distracting them before they realized that they were the targets. The attack hit them each with a precision, causing a huge explosion that was heard all across the nearby town: Ponyville. It just so happened that twilight was still awake, and heard the whole thing, because she teleported right next to me. Yeah, she didn’t Look happy either.
She ignored me and turned to her friend's, "WHAT in the name of Celestia was that?!” She was clearly pissed at the explosion, A little owl sitting on her shoulder looking in complete disarray at being woken early.
Karmic choice good: Keep trying to explain that this was a mistake and I'm telling the truth-
Karmic choice evil: Charge another attack and try to Stun the lot of them to get my point across-
“Wait, SERIOUSLY?! OH FOR THE LOVE OF-” looks like Cole's powers aren't the only thing I got. What should I choose?! Well whatever it is, hopefully it'll be the right choice

"What in the name of Celestia was that?!" Twilight yelled, looking to her friends wanting to know Exactly WHAT that explosion was. Applejack spoke up first, "Well there was this here strange creature on mah farm, and I thought he was here ta take a few of mah apples! When ah caught him he tried ta silver tongue his way out of a beatin!” Applejack stated
"Let me guess... you got on your high horse-er, figuratively speaking, and didn’t give him half a second to explain HIS side of the story?" Twilight asked.
I waited for them to finish, deciding that I would explain to them that I was new here. “No, she didn't. I mean sure, my first words kinda slipped out without thinking, but then she just started attacking me!!!" This voice was foreign to her... clearly not from around HERE, and not even CLOSE to the other dialects she'd heard over the years, but the next thing twilight did made my day! She jumped 6 feet in the air!!! soon after being caught by Rainbow Dash, whether it was to show off or to keep me from catching her, I don’t know, nor do I particularly care. When Rainbow put twilight on the ground, the first thing she did was walk right up to me and deck me straight in the face! I'm hoping she used all her strength, otherwise next time, I'll be in for a world of hurt... "OOOW!!! What the hell was that for?! All I did was try give you what you wanted to know-! Ah- damnit!" I groaned. Don't get me wrong, she decked me in the face, but you probably would've done the same... that... and I probably had it coming... for some reason of another...
"I... OH MY GOSH! I am SO sorry! I didn't mean to! It- it was a reflex, I swear!"
"It's okay just... please, don't do that again? Thank you." I managed to say after she apologized somewhere around ten times.
"Sooooo aren't you gonna BLAST him with magic? Or... something?" Rainbow was clearly still itching for a fight.
"Wha- NO! Why would I do that? Before we do ANYTHING else, we need to heat HIS side of the story first. Okay?" Twilight reasoned
"I reckon." Applejack crossed her arms, having just been scolded and lectured at the same time by Twilight.
"Rainbow?"
"Uhhhhg, fine! But I still say we blast him though."
"I feel so loved.” The sarcasm in my words was almost thick enough to grab out of the air. “So. Here is what happened before I got here. At least, what I remember..."
Back home, before all this happened, my friends and I were setting up a skype chat just before a play session...
"SO! Is everyone here? Cause game night with friends minus the friends is just an internet troll waiting to happen!” Clearly I was just trying to prompt a response from my friends.
"Sup man. Dude only two of us are here, you and Mason are in a Skype call remember?" My brother reminded me.
"Yeah, I know, but dude what ELSE are we supposed to do? None of us have the same kind of games! Not since these losers dropped out of the PS3 Kingdom!” And THAT is when they responded!
“Bulllllshit, Xbox is TOTALLY superior to that little Asian toybox!” Chris Stabbed at me and my brother.
“PC MASTER RACE!!!” Mason Shouted into his mic., making my speakers clip.
“Screw you Chris! Made by the same company, but its a console. Automatically 20% cooler. Boom. CHECK and MATE.” Chris clearly thought he was in the lead.
“Wait, check and something you do with your Xbox?”
“OOOoooh, he just went there.” I couldn’t help it, it had to be said.
Koltan was a little irritated, “Can we just get to playing already?!”
"Woah, Woah, just calm down Koltan. It's all in good fun.” I used that as a que to get the others to chill.
“Anyways!” Mason decided to break the tension, “I'm playing team fortress 2, how 'bout you Devon?"
"I'm gonna play Infamous, how 'bout you Chris?" I spike into my Mic so her could hear over skype.
“Me? Halo 2 Bro! I know, I'm awesome.” Chris was still in his -superior- mindset.
"Koltan what are you playing?" I asked.
"Devil May Cry 3, and I already know you’re gonna ask: I'm playing as Vergil." Kolan deadpanned. I know, the life of the party right?
"Well, looks like we know what were all playing, so lets get to it!”
French voice: 3. hours. Later.
"Oh come on!!! I swear, Kessler does this JUST to mess with me!” I complained aloud. It's not that I hadn't beaten the game before, but he always changes up his strategy. “I swear i played this same battle twice, and each time he uses the same powers in a different order!"
“Why are you complaining?! I'm fighting Vante, a harder boss than Kessler!" stated my brother. "I mean, there's this hev- POINT FIVE HEALTH POINT FIVE HEALTH!" Koltan laughed, somewhat hysterically.
"Ooookay, Ow. No need to yell. you've done this before Kol-" i was cut off by the sound of Vergil getting killed. "Never-mind." Not even five seconds after I last spoke, the games froze. In my head I was screaming 'Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!' My jaw was resting comfortably on the floor below me."Soooooo... go to bed? Or fix it?" I was tired, and that was the only thing I could think to ask. The reply was unanimous: beds-4, fix the game-0. "… Well... Talk to you guys in the morning. Stay Pro my friends."
Its about now that I finish my train of thought, still standing in Sweet Apple Acres. “So that's what happened. I swear, I'm telling the truth- STOP glaring daggers at me, you skittles mascot reject!” There I go again. Now, that probably wasn't that smartest idea, but when you can shoot lightning from your hands, it's understandable that you might get a little cocky.
Rainbow Dash flung herself at me, but before she got close I used my shock wave! It threw her into reverse, and she drifted for a good distance before falling flat on her ass. Her expression was priceless! It simply said: 'Da'Fuk?!' I'd call that a win, wouldn't you?
"What the hay was that!?!?!?!?" Rainbow asked looking suddenly less confident.
"Look, I don't have time for this. I got some exploring to do, so if you don't, mind I'll just be going now. Good bye crazy pony people! i hope that the next time we meet, I wont have a sore jaw by the end of it, and rainbow crash over there wont look like a pre-cooked chicken.' I looked at twilight, and as I turned, I ran into someone else. Let me remind you that didn't just get the Powers of Cole McGrath, I unfortunately got his temper as well. “All right! I have half a mind to pump 300 Kilo-volts through who ever just-!” Only after I had looked up did I realize I had just given a threat to princess Luna, and a possible death threat at that! “Ran into me... … … H-hi there... uhhhh...” Sooooo I'm pretty much fucked aren't I? Wait...is that a headset she's wearing? At that moment, two thoughts came to me:
Karmic option Good: Say it was an accident and ask for her to forgive me-
Karmic option Evil: Follow through and stun the hell out of her. I mean Alicorns are immortal, Right? I mean sure, it'll hurt, but she'll live right?
Uh-oooooh, looks like I have to make another choice now, don't I? But will I choose for myself this time? Or let the comments guide me? And what, exactly, happened to the other three guys?! Find out next time on “Gamers to Equestria”!!!
