Mare of Steel

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Ancient Ponies: There she lies; an imposter, pretender!

Rise up ponies; our defender is

Gone! Into the nightmare Her Radiance

Shone, but no light is shining back...

Spike: Into the light it shone,

The beacon for each evil banished.

With Celestia gone,

What shields remained, quite quickly, vanished.

Spike + Survivors: Now our defender is back, ready to press the attack

Pretender to the role of saviour.

We all remember her lack, her careless show of alacrity,

Unending hypocrisy leaves a bitter flavour.

Celestia: Into the darkness long I gazed,

Compulsion to go deeper, held at bay.

And heedless, still unfazed, I

Had my final say. (NO!)

In neverending surprise, never could I have surmised

Consequences so black, may my defences hold back the

Horde of fury I cannot refuse.

Too wise to their role, I can only hope to defuse...

Spike: Mare of Steel, made to feel

Keenly ponies' loss; loneliness

Inevitable, for one immortal;

So superior...

Power past the ken of most.

Celestia: In ignorance, a filly

Had more sense, saw clear the path to peace.

In hindsight, seems so silly;

Even abominations need release.

So madness turns, the Fire burns

Took all I loved the most. Above all,

I can't hope to lose; unless I choose.

What price might victory bring?

Spike: Mare of Steel, made to feel

Keenly ponies' loss; loneliness

Inevitable, for one immortal -

So superior...

Ten hours past the midnight ghost.

Celestia: Compassion may guide my hooves,

But this enemy must die.

My Little... my Fellow Ponies abused,

We'll see these cretins fly.

An alabaster bitch, accursed witch, and

Enemy to all.

Her mothering once smothering did

Make Equestria fall.

Spike: Mare of Steel, made to feel

Keenly ponies' loss; loneliness

Inevitable, for one immortal -

So superior...

An ashen priest, cold Fire's host.

Spike: Mare of Steel, made to feel

Keenly ponies' loss; loneliness

Inevitable, for one immortal -

So superior...

That summer breeze will hotly roast

The Progenitors.
