The Cuts
The Cuts,
They are ever so deep,
They never seem to disappear.
No matter what you do,
They always return,
When the razor strikes your hoof,
You feel the blood,
dripping on your arm,
it is ever so bittersweet,
Nopony seems to understand your pain.

The Pain
It radiates in you,
It flows through you,
You want it out of you,
But you can't get it.
Your friends,
Be it Fluttershy or Rarity,
Trying to comfort you with love,
And tenderness,
But it all seems to fade away,
When you realize,
Love simply washes away.

Restless
You can't sleep,
Even with your animals,
Or at a sleepover.
Dark things penetrate your mind,
They poison you,
They make you feel like garbage,
Which you see yourself as,
And that's when you begin to cut once again.

Torture
You dissipate your pain,
By causing more pain,
You tear at your flank,
Hoping to remove it,
Hoping to live in peace once again,
But all you feel is sadness and anger,
Nothing seems true to you anymore or anypony.

Drugs
You reach for something,
In a little capsule,
Putting a few small pills,
Into your hooves,
You gulp and swallow,
Something new radiating through you.
But darker and more sinister,
You can't help it you want more,
AND MORE,
AND MORE!!!

A Cup of Tea and a Cupcake
You sit in a room,
On a great pink chair,
Looking about,
Everything is colorful and bright.
Another chair is across from you,
But it is empty since Pinkie Pie,
Kind of enough to share with you her former pain and suffering,
Is making a cup of tea and cupcakes.
You feel the cuts deep beneath your bandages,
They are painful and never ending,
But hope tells you to hold on.
Soon the once bouncing pink blob,
Appears with two cups of bubbly tea,
And cupcakes,
That glisten in the sunlight like crystals.
As she hooves you a cup,
You sip it,
A warm feeling radiates in your chest,
As the tea goes through down your throat,
Since you have not eaten in a long while.
Pinkie Pie stares at you keenly,
Wondering your thoughts and your dreams,
For in fact she is the one who has felt the same pain,
As You.

A Party
You soon arrive at your home,
Happiness running through your veins,
Like a great river.
But at your door lies a letter,
With three balloons on the cover,
You open it and it smells like a birthday party,
And it reads:
"You forgot something my friend. Come Back and Get It."

You shrug and think,
"Why not?",
You trot towards Sugar Cube Corner,
But it is dark and seems empty,
But when you enter,
You hear,
"SURPRISE!!!"
As loud as a pony can scream,
Every Pony in Ponyville,
Has gathered to celebrate you,
And leading the helm is Pinkie,
Who understands you,
And knows what your going through.
You never realize,
When your friends are close,
Until they throw you a great big surprise party,
With lots of Cake and Toast!

A Cup of Tea and a Cupcake
The Neighbor
You walk gently,
Out towards a beaten rocky path,
Wearing a jacket that covers the pain.
Your cutie mark,
As its called,
Seems pointless and rather stupid,
But hope tells you to keep going,
towards your neighbor's house.
You realize it's not a house at all,
It's Sugar Cube Corner,
Where the Cakes and Pinkie Pie,
With their vibrant colors and songs,
Live in peace and harmony.
But which of whom,
Has suffered the pain similar to yours,
You reach the front step,
And knock on the vibrant pink door,
Waiting to see what might meet you.
Soon a pink bouncing mound appears before you,
Hair crazy and eyes constantly boucing,
"Hi there. Would you like a cupcake?" Pinkie Pie says loud and happily,
You look at your feet,
And Pinkie Pie continues to grin,
But then she realizes,
What is wrong with you,
And her bouncing happiness departs from her face,
"Come Inside" she says,
"We have a lot to talk about"

My Name Is
My Name Is Licorice Sun. When you read this series of free verse poems you may be able to relate to me. We all have faced trifling times in our lives.
We have been depressed,
We have been sad,
evil thoughts cloud our minds,
dirty dreams linger in our brains at night,
uncomfortable memories lay thick in our imagination,
Terrible Ideas have flooded from our mouths and our minds.
We have thought about it,
We have dreamt about it,
What if I were to jump, fall, cut, shoot, or do something far worse to myself,
Would I be missed,
Would others cry at my funeral,
And I say Yes.
I was always sad and depressed,
Because I thought nopony understood,
What I felt or had,
Until I met somepony,
Who has always been near me,
But never close enough to touch,
Shared her past pain with me,
And now I am very happy,
Since there is somepony,
Who cares about me,
Loves me,
And knows when I have reached my lowest point,
And seen me rise up again,
Wiser,
Smarter,
And,
Happier,
This is my story.

Suicide
You want to do it,
You prepare to do it,
You hate the world,
You want to be alone.
But as you tighten it around your neck,
Something comes in your mind,
A simple flicker.
"Don't do it" it cries,
"What are you and Who are you?" you say,
"I am hope" it says,
"Hope I thought you left me long ago" you say,
"No I was just late. You have so much ahead of you. Don't give up" it says,
"Nopony likes me. I am worthless, useless, not even Pinkie would give me a present" you say almost ready to do it,
"NOOO!!!" hope cries "There is another who suffered what you did long ago but overcame it through righteousness and happiness in himself" hope says,
"Oh really and who might this pony be?" you ask angered slightly,
"It's your neighbor" hope says.

Understanding
"I know how you feel. I used to feel the same pain as you do now" Pinkie Pie sighs.
You are slightly suprised,
You have never seen Pinkie Pie as a very serious pony,
She is always so happy and cheerful,
And to see her like this,
Actually makes you sadden,
And the cuts return with ferocity.
"Show me your arms" she says,
You pull back the jacket sleeves,
To reveal the numerous bandages,
Some old and some new,
But all stained with blood,
From the pain you try to dispel,
She then shows you her own arms,
They have many scars,
Which scares you deeply.
"I used to be a pony like you. Not feeling cared about or loved" she says,
You listen keenly,
She soon gets off her chair and walks over to your side and puts a hoof around you.
"But I learned something. Ponies love you. Your life has so much potential and to simply cut it short makes the world feel pain and anguish in its veins. I love you even though I barely even know you" she says as she kisses you on the cheek and hugs you tightly,
You feel the warmness of the kiss and the embrace of the hug,
"Wow Pinkie Pie is the nicest pony I have ever met. She knows how I feel and what I have gone through" you say to yourself,
She then speaks again,
"If you go I will miss you and nopony likes it when another pony cuts their life short and leaves a friend all alone in the world" she says hugging a little tighter.
You feel rather guilty,
You almost have been thinking about yourself this whole time,
And not about the ponies that are around you and love you.
Pinkie releases her embrace,
"Go out and think positive" she says,
And she sends you out the door with cupcake in your hoof and a grin on your face,
You feel a warmth in your heart,
Like the summer sun casting its glow down on a valley.
