Ive said this before, & Ill say it again: Listen to my story.
My name is Tidus. Im one of High Summoner Yunas guardians. Who is Yuna, you might ask? Shes one of the most important summoners in the history of Spira. She defeated Sin once & for all, bringing about the Eternal Calm. The Calm is typically a period of a few years where Sin doesnt attack Spira while its reforming after being defeated by a summoner. The only way for a summoner to defeat Sin is for them to call the Final Aeon, which will kill them after defeating Sin. The Al Bhed, one of Spiras many races of people, believed that summoners shouldnt have to die just so that Spira can be happy for a few years. One of Yunas other guardians, an Al Bhed girl named Rikku, had this same mindset, but she didnt go to the same extremes as the other Al Bhed. She didnt kidnap summoners. Me & Rikku were two of Yunas six guardians. The others were Wakka, A Blitzball player like me, Lulu, a black mage who almost treated Yuna like a sister, Auron, a man who was one of High Summoner Braskas two guardians alongside my father, & Kimahri, a Ronso who had known Yuna since she was seven years old. After we defeated Sin, different things happened to each of us. Wakka & Lulu moved back to their home of Besaid Island, then got married & had a son. We found out that Auron was an Unsent, so he was basically a ghost. Yuna sent him to the Farplane after Sin`s defeat. Kimahri became the Elder of what was left of his tribe. Yuna moved back to Besaid for a while, but Rikku came back & gave her a sphere showing a man who she thought was me, so the two of them joined a team of sphere hunters called the Gullwings in hopes of finding me.
I should probably stop talking about the past.
Now, for what happened to me.
I jumped from our airship, giving Yuna a painful goodbye. As I fell from the sky, I saw something quite unusual: A large orb of water floating in midair, just like a Blitzball arena. I landed inside the orb & started swimming towards the bottom. Before I could do so however, I was ambushed by five Sahagins, large fish-like fiends. They were nowhere near a challenge. I readied my longsword & prepared for battle. One of the Sahagins charged at me & I flipped through the water, moving over top of it & slashing as I went. The fiend sunk to the pool`s base like a rock, then fell through it.
Wow, I almost forgot how weak these things were.
My body sparked with yellow electricity as I finished them all off with one attack.
Eenie, meenie, minie, moe!
I swam forward, cutting down the four remaining fiends.
You just got sliced & diced!
I started to move upwards. When I made it halfway to the top, I began spinning. I would need the momentum for this to work.
Come on! Almost there.
My head burst through the water & the rest of my body followed. While I flew through the air, my vision was obscured by a flash of white light.
