The Incomplete Works of Cookie

Prologue

     "Discord! I will not let you hurt my daughters!" Strong Light yelled.

     "Whatever makes you think I'm going to hurt them?" Discord said to the stallion. Blood was flowing from Strong Light. Discord pounced on the white stallion. The unicorn cast a spell on him.

      "You are not going to hurt Whisper and Breve!" Strong Light yelled, tears running from his blue eyes.

      "Hmm, what a thoughtful father you are. Almost reminds me of myself." Discord said, ruffling the stallion's turquoise mane. "No wonder you got your cutie mark in protecting ponies." Discord pointed to a picture of a sword and a shield. "Look, I'll make a deal with you." Discord said, "I won't hurt your foals, if you offer yourself to becoming... discorded."

      "What's that?" Strong light asked.

      "I simply reverse you. You become the exact opposite of what you are now. Isn't it exciting?" Discord swirled around.

      "Anything for Whisper and Breve." Strong Light said.

      "Wait, you actually want to do this? Alright." Discord tapped one of his fingers to Strong Light's head.

      When Strong Light came to, he saw his daughters around him.

      "Daddy!" Breve said, the unicorn filly hugging her father.

      "Dad, you're alright." Whisper said to him.

      "GET OFF ME!!!" Strong Light yelled at Breve. She cowered off him.

      "D-Daddy?" Breve squeaked, "D-did I do something wrong?"

      "You were born, that's what you did wrong!" Strong Light yelled at his daughters. Breve started crying.

      "Go." Whisper said, "You are not our father."

No, girls, no. I'm sorry. I don't know what's going on. Forgive me.

      "Go!" Whisper yelled "Get out of here. You aren't my father anymore. You aren't our father."

      Strong Light left. He didn't know where he was going, but it was far from there. He was no longer their father.

Chapter 1: Discord Defeated

      Breve finished her latest drawing. Using her magic, she hung it on the wall. A white unicorn stallion stood with a pale blue unicorn filly, and a grey unicorn mare. Breve was pale blue, with blue eyes. Her mane was black and grey. Her cutie mark was a piano. The picture she'd just drawn was her family.

      "Breve! Dinner!" Whisper called upstairs. Whisper was a grey unicorn, with a turquoise mane, and orange eyes. Her cutie mark was a star.

      "Whisper, what's wrong with Daddy?" Breve asked. Whisper froze. Their father had acted strange last time they'd seen him.

      "I think he's just confused." Whisper said, "But we'll check with the mare at the library tomorrow, alright?"

      "Okay." Breve sat down at the table, "What's for dinner?"

      "Pasta." Whisper said.

      "Yummy!" Breve replied.

      The next day, it rained again. "Why do the weather ponies keep making it rain?" Breve said, "I wanna play outside."

      "Maybe it'll be sunshine tomorrow." Whisper said. She knocked on the door to the library. A purple unicorn mare opened the door.

      "Oh, hello. The library is closed." she said.

      "Actually, we came to talk to you." Whisper said, 'My friends say you're a smart pony."

      "I'm Twilight, come on in. What's the problem?' she asked them.

      "Our daddy was acting strange." Breve said.

      "How so?" Twilight asked.

      "Well, you see. When Discord went loose, he tried to go give him a piece of his mind." Whisper said, "He said that if he wasn't back in three hours, we should go look for help. We went, and found him lying on the ground. He was passed out, and when he came to, he yelled at Breve here for hugging him. He's never done that before."

       "Strange. He was with Discord you say? He must have been discorded miss...?" Twilight asked.

       "Whisper. What's being discorded?" Whisper asked.

       "Discord has some kind of magic that allows him to make a pony the opposite of what they are. He did it to my friends and I." Twilight said, "I can fix it, but I sort of need him. Where is he?"

       "He ran away." Breve said, "Can you really fix him? He was mean last time."

       "Yes. I can help your dad. But we need to find him." Twilight said, "I'll alert Princess Celestia immediately. She can send some guards to aid us in a search. I'll get my friends as well. Spike!"

Chapter 2: The Search

"Discord! I will not let you hurt my daughters!"

"Anything for Whisper and Breve."

       Breve jolted awake. She'd been hearing snippets of conversations in her dreams. She'd fallen asleep while reading a book in Twilight's library, waiting for a reply from Princess Celestia.

       "You looked like you were having a nightmare." Whisper sat next to her sister.

       "I heard Daddy's voice." Breve said timidly. Whisper hugged her sister.

       "Don't worry. Dad'll be back, I promise." Whisper said to her sister.

       "Good news. We found your father. He was in a cave just out of Ponyville." Twilight came in.

       "What do you mean it didn't work?" Whisper asked Twilight.

       "We tried the spell seven times. Something inside him is rejecting it." Twilight said.

       "So, Daddy's gone?" Breve asked.

       "I'm sorry." Twilight said.
