Chapter 2

Living With Ponies, And A Dragon

"Wake up! It's time for school!"

"Yep. It wasn't a dream. "

Eric woke up to see the ponies jumping on him.

"Family cliche...."

Eric got out of bed, and walked downstairs.

"How was your sleep?" Twilight said.

"Good."

Eric was still a little sleepy. He went to the drawer to get cereal but found out that Pinkie Pie had gotten both cereal boxes, and already gave them to the rest, including herself.

"How in the heck did she get there so fast?"

"I gave the cereal to my friends so you wouldn't have trouble getting it." Pinkie Pie said.

"Um...Thanks?"

Rainbow Dash flew over to Eric to apologize.

"Um...Eric? Can I have a word with you?" Rainbow Dash said.

"Yes."

Rainbow Dash and Eric walked over to the living room. "I'm sorry about knocking you over yesterday."

"It's okay. I know that you didn't mean to do something like that." Eric told her.

Rainbow Dash suddenly flew back to the kitchen when she heard, "Oh my goodness!"

"My hair is dirty!" Rarity screamed.

"How did that happen?"

"I put my head down and it touched the milk!"

"I should have found that out the second I heard." Rainbow Dash said, unpleased.

Eric got a towel to clean Rarity's hair. "I'm glad we still have our magic." Twilight said.

"Yea, me too."

Eric walked toward the living room TV and turned it on.

"What are you watching?" Pinkie Pie said

Eric flinched when he heard her.

"Nothing usual, just regular TV."

Pinkie looked at the TV and seen something on the guide.

"What's that?"

Eric looked at the guide and saw the words, My Little Pony.

"Oh no...."

Eric turned to Pinkie and moved her out of the living room.

"Uh, nothing. There's other stuff you can do with your friends."

"OK." Pinkie Pie replied.

When Pinkie Pie galloped back into the kitchen, Eric noticed that the ponies were looking at stuff they never seen before.

Twilight was surprised by the microwave and the buttons on it. "I've never seen a machine like this before." Twilight said.

"That's the microwave, we use that for some foods that are microwave-able."

"What a bad pun."

Twilight looked at him, looking confused.

"Sorry."

Fluttershy flew over to Eric, and talked to him. "Um, Eric? Thanks for taking good care of us."

"You're welcome."

Eric hugged Fluttershy when he heard, "Eric! Where are you? I've been looking for you!"

"Oh no! If Jack finds out that there ponies in my house, he'll call the government!"

"Hey, I want all of you to do me a favor."

"What?" Rainbow Dash questioned.

"Can you go upstairs while I talk to a friend?" Eric told them.

"Why would we want to do that?"

"Well, let's just say that he would do something I don't want to say."

"Um, OK." Twilight replied.

The ponies flew and galloped upstairs while Eric went to the door and opened it.

Jack was in front of Eric, and pulled him outside.

"Eric! You've got to help me!"

"For what?"

"I was talking to Josh, and he told me that he would make fun of me in front of everyone!" Jack told him

Josh was the kid who bullied Eric on the bus yesterday. He didn't like people who also watches girl's shows.

"Oh, um...I don't know how to help you."

"Why?! You have to!"

"I can't. You'll just have to fix the problem yourself."

"Well, if you can't help, then I won't be your friend!"

Jack ran angrily back to his house, disappointed about Eric not helping out.

"Geez, why is he so mad?" Eric said.

But what Eric didn't see, was that Spike was standing next to him.

"I heard what was going on. I'm sorry about your friend." Spike said, startling Eric.

"How long have you been standing there?!'

"After your conversation."

"Man, these ponies, and their dragon pop out of nowhere. "

Eric closed the door, and sat down on the couch.

"What have I done?" He said, sad about losing his best friend.

"Well, you didn't help yo--" Spike said, before being interrupted by Eric.

"I know. I didn't mean that."

Spike walked into the kitchen, looking for gems.

"Hey, Eric. Do you know where the gems are?"

"What? Nobody eats gem's, well, only you."

"How did you know that? Were you spying on me?"

"No..." Eric said.

"OK."

Spike got down, and went upstairs. Eric turned on the TV to My Little Pony, but he had to turn down the volume so they couldn't hear their voices on TV.

"Thank you for helping out with me, Twilight" The voice of Applejack on the TV said.

"Man, I just wish i didn't be so harsh on Jack."

Eric went into the kitchen to make a sandwich, and went back into the living room and started eating his sandwich.

"So, what do you think?"

Rarity had dressed Eric for school, but he looked like a girl with a cute dress.

"Like a girl."

"Rarity, this is no time for dress-up. We have to get him ready for school." Rainbow Dash said to Rarity.

"Uh, fine."

Then, in a few seconds, he looked like a boy in school clothes.

"Much better."

Later, Eric went downstairs to find out that Twilight had made his lunch.

"Look, I made you your lunch. Do you like that?"

"Yes, Twilight. I do." Eric said.

Eric picked up his lunch box, and left in a few seconds. He felt that the ponies were always there for him.

"Maybe these ponies are really nice. Maybe they'll help me out sometimes."

He thought about these questions on the bus, in class, and at lunch.

Later....

"Twilight? What are you doing?" Rainbow Dash said to Twilight.

"Reading about the human history. One time, there was two World Wars."

"Oh."

"Anyways, I'm starting to like Eric. He seems like a good kid." Rainbow Dash said.

"Yea, me too."

"Hey girls! Look!" Pinkie Pie said, hopping to the TV.

"There's a game console here, but it looks strange."

Pinkie looked at the words, PS3, imprinted on the console.

"It says Playstation Three."

"How did you know that?" Rainbow Dash said, staring at Pinkie.

"Just a hunch." Pinkie said, grinning happily.

Eric opened the front door, and said, "I'm home."

Eric looked at Pinkie, who was looking at the system.

"What was you doing?"

"I found out this game console. It look's cool."

"Well don't mess around with it."

Eric put down his stuff, and sat down on the couch.

"What's wrong?" Pinkie said to Eric.

Eric had his head facing down.

"Oh, nothing."

"OK."

Eric's phone started ringing. When he picked it up, It was Jack calling.

"Hey, Eric." Jack said, in a sorrow tone.

"What do you want?"

"I'm sorry about what happened yesterday. I didn't mean to say that I wouldn't be your friend."

"It's okay. I'm sorry for not helping you out."

"Well, I just wanted to call you. See ya later."

Eric hung up, then looked at the ponies.

"Who was that?" Twilight said, questioning about what happened.

"My friend, Jack."

"Well, why was you not helping him out?"

"Well....He wanted me to help him out with a bully."

They looked at him, feeling sorry.

"But, you helped us." Fluttershy told Eric.

"I know, bu-" Eric told them, before he was interrupted by Rainbow Dash.

"Stop. I know your helping out, but you have to help your friend, too." She said to Eric.

"Ok..." He said.

He left the house to help his friend.

"How did you talk go?" Twilight said.

"I almost got beaten to a pulp. But, it went okay."

Eric sat down on the couch. Suddenly, "Hey, where's Spike?"

Everypony was freaking out, searching all over the house, from the drawers, to under the bed.

"He's got to be somewhere! He couldn't have ran off." Rainbow Dash said, feeling worried.

"Where was he the last time you saw him?" Eric told Twilight.

"He was in the kitchen. But then, he was gone!" Twilight said.

"Well, where in Celestia is he?" Rainbow Dash said.

"Let's go search for him." Eric said.

Eric, and the ponies went out to find Spike.
