Chapter 3

The Spite of Adventure

"Spike! SPIKE!? Where are you?!?!"

The search party had started for Spike. Eric, and the others, were looking around the town.

They were also trying not to get spotted by civilians, too. "We have to find Spike! He's got to be somewhere around the corner."

Rainbow Dash said, searching frantically for him. Eventually, they found a sign that said, NO ANIMALS BEHIND THIS SPOT.

"He must be in there." Twilight said, pointing inside the park.

"Stay here. Who knows someone will spot you." Eric said to the ponies.

"No way, sugarcube. You can't go alone in there." Applejack said to Eric.

Eric smiled, he knew he had his best friends right here. They looked around, trying to not get spotted by someone.

Then, they saw him. "Spike! Get down from there!" Twilight yelled.

"Huh?" Spike said, turning his head to see the gang.

"Eric! Twilight!" He said, before he started wobbling from the top of a bridge.

"Uh oh!"

Spike was at the brink of falling into the water currant!

"Hold on Spike! We'll get ya down!" Applejack said, as she ran to the bridge.

She grabbed a rope and spun, and spun like a cowgirl. Then, she threw the rope to Spike. But, it missed.

"No!"

Twilight used her magic, and teleported to Spike. She grabbed him, but they fell into the water!

"Eric! Go to the end, I'll get them out of there!" Rainbow Dash told Eric.

Eric ran to the end of the currant, which led to a sewer hole.

"AHHHH!" Twilight and Spike screamed as they were almost to the sewer hole.

Rainbow Dash flew to the screaming pony and dragon.

"Twilight! Spike! Grab on!"

They tried to grab, but they were going too fast!

"Shoot!" Rainbow Dash said, when she missed.

"I wish that I didn't run away!" Spike said to Twilight.

"Me too!"

They were almost to the sewer hole, when Rainbow Dash grabbed them!

They were safe! "Thank Celestia! I thought we were gonna die!" Spike said to Rainbow Dash.

They were relieved. Later, they were leaving. "I'm sorry for running away, Twilight." Spike said.

"Yea, me too."

"Are you OK,Twilight?" Rarity said.

"Yes, Rarity."

Eric was sitting down with the others. "Just why in Celestia was you doing on a bridge?" Twilight questioned.

"Just looking at the sky." Spike explained. "But you almost got killed out there!" Rainbow Dash said to Spike.

"I know, I know. I just wanted to look at the beautiful sky."

"I'm just glad that no one got hurt." Eric said. Suddenly, the phone rang again. This time, it was Jack's father.

"Hello? Eric?" He said. "Why are you calling me?" "Jack hurt his leg, so he won't be coming to your house for a while."

"How did that happen?" "He was skateboarding, and his leg sprung."

Eric was disappointed with the news. "Jack will be at his house, you can visit him if you want. Anyways, bye."

He hung up. "My friend sprung his leg."

The ponies gasped. "Oh dear! How bad is it?" Rarity said, shocked.

"Not bad, just a injury."

"Well, you should visit him." Twilight said.

"OK, if you say so."

Eric left to see Jack.

Later...

"Jack?" Eric had entered Jack's room.

"Hi, buddy." Jack said.

"I heard the news."

"Yea, my leg sprung. It really hurt's." Jack told him.

Eric walked over to him and sat with him.

"How's life going?" Eric said.

"Boring."

"I know. Anyways, I'm sorry your leg hurt's."

"It's okay, Eric. I'm fine."

"Well, I'm going. You want something before I leave?"

"Just a drink of Sprite."

Eric went downstairs, poured Sprite into a cup. Then, went back up to give it to him.

"Thanks, bro"

"You're welcome."

Eric left the house, but said goodbye to Jack's parents.

"Hi, Eric!" That was what Eric heard the first second he came in.

Eric smiled, pleased with Pinkie Pie. The ponies were watching TV.

"I'm glad their not watching the Hub."

"We're watching a show called Spongebob." Pinkie Pie said to Eric.

"The starfish is funny!" Rainbow Dash said, talking about the character, Patrick Star.

Eric smiled, again. Then, he went to his room.

Spike was on his bed. "Hey, Spike."

"Hey." "What's the matter?"

"Nothing, just bored."

Eric noticed that. He looked around for something interesting.

"How about this?" Eric said, holding the TV remote to his TV.

Spike grabbed the remote. He spun the remote around, then he turned it on.

"Wow! This is cool!" Spike said.

Spike looked on the guide, while Eric thought the words over and over,

"Please don't find the Hub. Please don't find the Hub. Please don't find the hub."

Eventually, Spike found a channel called, Cartoon Network.

"What's this?" He said.

When he turned it to Cartoon Network, Regular Show was on.

"Wow, there's a talking Blue jay and Raccoon."

"Watch that while I go back downstairs." Eric said to Spike.

Spike nodded. Eric went back down, and saw the ponies looking at him, shocked.

"What?"

"Is this some kind of a joke?" Rainbow Dash said.

Eric looked at the TV, it was paused on My Little Pony.

"Um, no."

"H-how could you?!" Rarity said, while crying at the same time.

"Come on, girls. Let's go." Twilight said, using her magic to open the door.

"Wait! Don't go!" Eric was trying to catch up, but it was too late.

"What have I done?"
