The Birth of Psy-Psy

“This better be good Doctor. Your last experiments were complete failures” Grunted a mare in a suit.

“Don't worry Miss Point, he will surpass all expectations once he is fully developed of course” replied Doctor Rohoofnik.

“Um its miss now and he?” she replied in confusion

“Its better if I show you” said the doctor as he led the way to the lab.

Inside the lab

“Alright listen up Miss Point, what you are about to see is our latest project, so to your stations!” ordered Doctor Rohoofnik and everypony dashed around pressing all sorts of buttons and switches. A the back wall opened up a large panel of magic proof glass that closed the new area and behind the glass was a large test tube with what looked like a plain white newborn foal in it.

“Doctor what is that?” Miss Point asked.

Doctor Rohoofnik grinned, “This is Android 0001. Code name: Psy-Psy. Our greatest masterpiece”

Miss point frowned at him, “All you made is a child... You wasted... Two billion bits!... on a fake child... I could make one for free... All I need are two idiots that don't know how to use protection.,..”

“Ah well you see he is more than a child. Once fully completed, he will be just like any other unicorn but better: He’ll be faster, stronger, and more powerful then Celestia and once we get the formerly done we can make an army of androids!”  Doctor Rohoofnik explained and as he did, Miss Point began to understand.

“Very well, we will continue to fund your project until 0001 is finished then he will have to prove its worth it. Do I make myself clear?”

As all the scientist nodded and agreed, she continued, “and for pete's sake, you there stop staring at my flank! You're never going to touched it” She pointed to one of the scientists who quickly turned away in embarrassment and Miss point left. The test tube was sealed and everyone went back to work.

16 years later

“Psy-Psy, time for you daily training” said one of the Scientist as he picked up a clipboard.

“So what is it this time? Wait, it's tuesday so its target practice” said Psy-Psy as he entered the training room.

“Just do what you normally do, but I’m going to increase the difficulty today, just to see where you are at” informed the scientist.

“Okay, just put up the targets so I can knock them down” Psy Psy responded with a sigh.

Psy Psy walked onto the large training field, clicking his hooves and neck as he readied for the targets. Many metal barriers and blockades were scattered strategically around the room, a few open holes were set through the floor in many places as traps and the place was already scorched with explosion marks and bullet holes. Psy Psy took position in the centre of the room and looked around in wait.

A female computer voice echoed through the room, “Starting round in 5, 4, 3, 2 ,1”.

Psy Psy took an attack stance after “2”, still waiting in anticipation.

“Round begin!”

At that moment, two targets popped up from behind the barrier not far beside Psy Psy. He jumped to the side and fired two small focused lasers from his horn, hitting both targets. Massive chunks of plastic blew off the targets frame, leaving the edges of the broken parts completely scorched. Two more targets popped up behind. Psy Psy jumped around quickly and fired two more lasers, destroying both the targets.

“Too easy” he said under his breath.

More targets popped up all around him and a few more popping down from the roof. Psy Psy turned to the right and fired more laser at two targets before jumping around and fire a large energy blast at a small group of targets and finally turning again to fire at a few more targets that hung from the roof.

After a few seconds of peace, a large opening in the wall began to launch large crates at Psy Psy. Psy Psy reacted quickly and dodged the first jumped on the second and grabbed the third with his levitation. He jumped up onto the third crate, the fourth coming straight for him. As the fourth hit the third, he jumped off, grabbing a fifth crate with his levitation and throwing it back at the opening, blocking it up.

Psy Psy landed on his hooves again. His ears perked up as he heard some mechanical tinkering and electronic beeps from behind him. He turned around to find two sentries coming out the roof, both pretty much finished and armed. Psy Psy ran across the room as they opened fire, the sentries following Psy Psy’s movement as they tried to gun him down. Psy Psy umpd and rolled behind a barrier to take cover for a split second. The sentries jolted they aim a little as they tried to search for Psy Psy. Psy Psy didn’t want to waste time so he ripped a damaged target from it’s hinges and jumped over the barrier. The sentries locked on again and opened fire, the target Psy Psy had providing very limited cover. Psy Psy’s cover lasted a second but that was all the time he needed to prepare an energy blast at the end of his horn. He threw the target aside and fired his energy blast. The energy blast flew between the two sentries and Psy Psy fired a laser just as it passed, creating a large energy explosion by them and destroying them both.

“Wow he got a perfect score and it's his fastest time. I think it’s time we made the call” said Doctor Rohoofnik.

Psy Psy exited the training field, “So dad, how was that?”

The doctor smiled, “That was great son, Perfect even, but there is something I must do now. Go down cafeteria and get yourself some of those ice creams you like. You’ve earned it”

Psy-Psy’s smile grew and he dashed off up the stairs.

Later that day

“Ah, Miss Point, I am glad you could make it... Who’s the kid?” asked Doctor Rohoofnik.

“This is my daughter, Shining Starlight. My ungrateful ex left me while I was pregnant and I couldn’t find somepony to look after her”

Shining sighed, “Mum I'm 17, I don't need a somepony to look after me”

“Yes you said that last time and when I left you alone for one night you had a party and wrecked the house. Anyway we’re are getting off topic, let me see his progress, while you young lady, could you get me a cappuccino?”

Shining sighed as she left.

“This way to the training hall” said the doctor.

At the cafeteria

“Stupid mother, it wasn't that wrecked” Shining moaned to herself as she poured her mother’s drink. She soon noticed Psy-Psy

“Hey is it that robot kid or something what it again... Android 0001 Psy-Psy, yeah that's it” She thought to herself as she began to walk over to him.

“Hey you’re that fake pony Psy-Psy am i right” she said.

Psy-Psy gave a blank look.

“Fake?”

“You know I'm real, you're a fake” Shining explained.

“I feel pretty real”

“Ugh forget it. Anyway I'm bored, you know this place better then me so what's fun around here?”

Psy-Psy thought for a moment, “Well there’s the training hall but my dad said that it’s out of bounds”

Shining quickly interrupted him, “Your dad? Wow you’re really clueless”. She grabbed his hoof, “Come on, I know something fun” as the two walked towards the sleeping quarters.

“Ah-ha, Here we are” shining said

“Um miss, this is mine and my dads room. Why are we here?” asked Psy-Psy.

“First, the name is Singing Starlight and second, pass me your access card”

Psy-Psy was hesitant but hoofed his card and the two entered.

“Wait, that’s my dads room. We’re not allowed in” said Psy-Psy.

Shining smiled as she opened the door, “If you want to know the truth, I bet daddy’s room has the answers”

Psy-Psy slowly walked in the room was full of papers notes blueprints.

“What's this?” he asked as he picked up a book with the title ‘The Android Project”

As he began to look through it, he became overwhelmed with questions but they all were about the same thing.

“Am I an android? is my purpose in life to fight in wars? What am I?”

“See, I told you you're fake” Shining said with a smug look on.

Psy-Psy used a magic blast to blow up all of the notes

“Whoa ca-” Psy-Psy stopped her in mid sentence as he started to choke her with his magic before throwing her through the wall and stormed out the room.

“Psy-Psy we heard an explosion and we came to it check out!” asked a scientist.

Psy-Psy glared as his horn glowed and used his magic to stop their hearts and started to blow everything up in sight. He continued his rampage through the all the scientists try to run but Psy-Psy killed them on sight and as he approached the exit.

“Son stop this” the doctor yelled.

Psy-Psy turned to him, “Is it true I am an android?” he asked.

The doctor nodded in disappointment.

“Yes but you're still my son. Just let me live. We could start a new life; no more training, no more tests” the doctor whimpered.

“Tests. Training. You were preparing me for war” Psy-Psy growled.

“No, NO! You don't understand” the doctor cowered

“Then you're not worth living”

Psy-Psy’s horn glowed as the doctor screamed in agony, Psy-Psy glared and proceeded to leave.

“Shining, SHINING! Where are you?!” screamed Miss Point as she searched frantically for her daughter.

“Don't worry, you’ll join her soon” said Psy-Psy.

“Wait! I funded you! Without me you would be alive”

Psy-Psy chuckled, “Well then, once you get to hell, you can think about what you have done”

His horn glowed the mare was silenced and Psy-Psy left.

Outside the lab

“That was amazing” said a mysterious voice.

Psy-Psy turned to him, horn glowing bright.

“Easy easy! I don't what to fight you, I want you to join me” he said with an over confident voice.

“What do you mean?” Psy-Psy asked.

“I'm the leader of the Colts, the best group of thieves in equestria and we need a pony with your power. I know that you're angry but this senseless killing will get you nowhere”

Psy-Psy lowered his guard “So then, what do I call you?”

“The name is Sift Swipe. So what do you say?” he asked.

Psy-Psy looked back at the destroyed laboratory, “I’m in”
