The Reason for Cupcakes

The life I lived got my hooves pretty dirty. It was exciting but always dirty. My name is Pinkameana Diane Pie but just call me Pinkie Pie. I use to do some work for the princess but that's all in the past. What I do now is live the Cakes, work as a baker, and  have a pet alligator who struck by me and never once told my secrets. If you didn't know, secrets are very important to me because sometimes your life can depend on it. I even made up a special promise called a Pinkie Promise. If you break one I promise you a swift end. Unless I hate you in which I tormented you make suffer until you die.

Who knew my old life would come back to me and I would need to take out the hardest order?

Flashback

It was Friday Morning business was slower than usual it was because of the rain the pegasi scheduled to make up for last week . I decided to open shop anyway and was happily working in the kitchen while babysitting the Cakes twin foals. I at least used ten bags of flour which was a new record. Mr and Mrs. Cake were at Canterlot filling in a very big order for wedding. The door opened causing tension to fill the air. Suddenly my blood ran cold and the foals cried. I stopped playing with them to take an order from the stranger.

"Pinkie" The stranger's voice was cold and sharp. I did my best to avoid their eyes. I put on my best fake smile but I was terrified of want they might do.

"Yes, my name is Pinkie. What would you like today?" I talked calm and nice common tone. The pony, which I now saw was a colt pegasus put a letter in my hand. He walked out the door and flew off. I turned the letter over to see a a waxy seal of a phoenix. Something I haven't seen in a long time. "Oh No! This can't be happening" Against my better judgement I open up the letter afraid of what it might say.

Dear Ms.Pinkameana,

We must gather up the old team members of C.E.L.O.S.T. by my order. If you recall C.E.L.O.S.T stands for Celestia's Elite League Of Special Talents. Your services are very much inquired for this order. Everything you need to know will be explained later on. This letter has one ticket to the Crystal Empire you must come here immediately. This is an urgent request. When you get here go in the castle. Princess Cadence will meet you and act as your guide.We await for your presence.

"Holy Cupcakes! What am I going to do! I can't leave the foals but I can't deny the Princess. I got It!" I packed up everything the twins needed and trotted out the door to Twilight's library. I made sure the twins had everything on for a rainy day. Including hats, raincoats and rain boots covered in little ducks.

"TwlilghtIreallyneedyoutowatchtefoalsformebecauseIreallyneedtodosomething" I out breath saying by the time I was done.

"Pinkie Pie slow down I didn't understand a word you said" Twilight gave me a "Pinkie slow down or you might hurt yourself" look.

"Twilight I have some matters to attend to. Since you all you have little Spikey-Wikey to look after, could you look after twins for me ppppplllleeeeeaaaaaassssseeeee." I gave her the best puppy eyes I could. Ponies always caved in when I gave them the puppy eyes.

"Pinkie Pie you know I have royal duties as princess but I suppose I could after them for a while. How long will you be gone?" I was  experienced with kind of this stuff before so on the spot I came up with a lie.

"Twilight it's a family thingy who knows how long it is." She simply shook and nodded. I rushed out of the library relieved she didn't ask anymore questions.

I rushed packing. You can't risk having to much stuff on the road because then you look suspicious . Keep only what you need or die without. I packed up clothes, Gummy, and something I thought I would never need ever again. I rush upstairs to my room. I walked in going the closet where I fished out a an box with something inside I loved but would always hate. I pulled a small pocket knife with a wooden handle.

A river of old memories good and bad flooded back to me. I took so many lives with that knife. So many times I spilled blood on my hooves. Every time I held it was painful to remember. I put in my bag my Pinkie Sense told something really bad was about to happen. Knowing my Pinkie Sense was never wrong I decide to put those memories in the back of my mind for later. Those memories are something I can't forget they are permanently written my mind forever. I rushed to the train station without another thought.

End of Flashback

"All aboard" called the conductor. I was looking for two certain pegsi on the train. Flitter and Cloudchaser. Believe it or not both of them were part of C.E.L.O.S.T. Flitter was the pony who could figure a way out of anything and Cloudchaser was the best double agent. The best is both of them can go to a place and blend in without raising any suspicion. I know that the Princess won't let leave those two out of an order. I finally spotted them in the second car. We haven't talked in years yet we're going to the same place for the same reason.

When they noticed me, they knew why I was here. I took a seat next to them. We all were uncomfortable for a few seconds but we remembered the motto "Once a team as always a team". I smile at them as they return a warm smile of their own. I have no idea what this order is but my Pinkie Sense is telling me something was wrong for a long time. What could it be?
