Chapter 11: A brisk stroll (Raw)

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

I walked through the front door and down the street, my pace heightened. All I could do was remember what I'd spent over a year trying to forget. The day I lost my closest friend and the closest thing to a family I had.

I sat in the clubhouse going over a business deal with an annoying man for protection. I was interrupted by one of the groups enforcers who got word of truck coming our way. The truck was full of members of our rival group, The Big cats.

"So, the Big pussies want to have some fun." I said in an overzealous fashion. I gathered the group of brothers I had usually for enforcing and waited out front for an expected brawl between the groups.

What happened instead would forever haunt me. As the truck came by there was only two men in it. One driving and the other in the back doing something. What was really strange was the truck was dragging something. When I took a closer look I saw it was instead a person, battered and strung up being dragged by the truck down the road at high speed. The man in the back pulled the pin holding the chain dragging him and they road off, the one in the back extending his middle finger yelling "FUCK YOU!"

As I walked into the road I saw who was being dragged. Huang. I had sent him across town to do some collecting. I ran to him and knelt beside him. His face was torn up and beaten. He was covered in dirt, grime and blood. His jacket was torn to hell and he had his feet bound together with a sharpened piece of pipe through his legs.

He opened his eyes and looked to me. Tears were flowing and he gasped trying to speak. I tried to help him up but he screamed out in pain. I tried to pick him up but he screamed out in pain again. He lied there and I could do nothing. He grabbed my arm tightly and began to cough up blood. It ran down his mouth and he began to close his eyes. I only watched, unable to speak.

His head dropped and he let go of my arm. Rage building, I jumped onto my bike and road off. I didn't know what else to do, I just ran. That night I would drink my sorrows away in a bar, from where I sat I overheard a small group. A group of big cats drunkenly gloating over jumping and beating a wolf. The leader kept gloating how he strung him up and dragged him down the road in front of their chapter.

I walked over to them, my hand in a trembling fist.

"The fuck you want?" He asked laughing with the two other men beside him.

I brought my hand to my back and pulled out a pistol I aimed and shot both the men and aimed at the leader. I ignored the screams and chatter from around the room and continued aiming at him, his eyes wide with fear.

"Get up." I ordered in a deep harsh town. He stood up and put up his hands in the air. I stepped up to him and held the muzzle of the gun to his forehead. I flipped it around and swung it hard at his face, and felt it connect with a sickening crack. I was satisfied with the resulted broken nose and his cry in pain. He held his hand to his profusely bleeding nose and knelt down cowering. I put the gun back into my belt and stood over him.

"Get up." I repeated.

He staggered to his feet only to be met with my fist. He fell back down.

"Get up."

He began to push himself off the ground and was met with me slamming his head into the side of his table. He then lay there on the ground, trying to get back up. I kicked him over onto his back and he looked at me through glazed eyes.

I pulled the pistol back out and pointed it to his head. A grin plastered to his face.

He spoke weakly. "Go...fuck...your sel-BANG"

"Sorry, didn't catch that."

I heard the sound of sirens and ran out the back. I got to my back on my bike and road off, going nowhere but far away.

After hours of walking I had reached where I wanted to go. I stood in front of a headstone and looked at it, though I felt like I was looking through it.

"Sore wa nagaiai watashi no yūjin sa rete iru. Mōshiwakearimasenga, watashi wa anata o tasukeru koto ga dekimasendeshita yo" I said to it aloud.

I sat there in silence and calmed myself. I read the name over and over.

"Huang"

I heard someone pull up the gravel path and stop. I didn't turn to them, I only tried to ignore them. That was until I heard a familiar voice.

"I figured you were here."

I turned to see Justin walking from his shit normal car.

"Yeah,"

"You know, you have to let go of things sometimes."

"No."

"Come on man."

"No."

"Please?" Came a familiar feminine voice from behind me. I turned to see Twilight.

I took a deep breath and looked her in the eyes and felt a deep feeling of faith.

I turned to the grave and spoke a final word to it. "Otōto sayōnara."

As I walked to the car I felt Twilight grab my arm and follow me. I looked down to her and saw her give a warm smile.

A smile found its way to my face and I remembered Huang's day. He gave the same smile when I held his arm up at his promotion. That night we drank and laughed and grew closer than ever as brothers.

I sat in the back seat of the car and nodded off, Twilight's head resting on my shoulder.

*Give criticism, don't just thumb down and leave. Give me a reason you don't like it.
Yes, I still want comments on these after all the progress.
