Chapter 23: "This is nice."
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"You think we should maybe get dressed?" She asked still lying on top of me.
"Nah, besides, it's already late." I said looking over to the window.
The orange glow of the setting sun looked beautiful, calm, relaxing. This was honestly the most perfect moment in my life. Checklist: Hot, partially naked woman; Check. Setting sun ; Check. Bottle of Hooch; Damn. "Well, almost perfect."
I closed my eyes and waited. Wouldn't be long until I could say I legitimately slept with Twilight. Still wish I had that bottle of Hooch.
I felt a strong wind. It was coming head on. I open my eyes to see whats happening. I was moving at a rather high speed. I looked down to see the rapidly approaching ground. I felt my heart jump into my lungs at that.
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! FUCK!"
I shut my eyes and braced myself. A whole minute passed before anything happened and what did happen was really strange. I felt someone tap my shoulder. I opened my eyes to see I was in a fairly lit room sitting on a cushioned bench. Who was tapping on my shoulder was a real surprise.
"C'mon you big pussy." said an all too familiar voice. "Last time I binge drink against you. My heads still throbbing and you don't even have a hangover."
I looked up to see the face of an old friend. His squinted brown eyes made him look like an insincere jack-ass. "Huang?"
"Yeah." He said sarcastically.
"Now I know I',m dreaming." I thought bitterly. "The hell is going on?"
"Jesus man. Look around."
I followed his instructions and saw the room was painted white and had wooden trimming and furniture. I could hear a an organ play in another room. What else was weird was that Huang was wearing a suit. On closer inspection I noticed I too was wearing a suit.
"Let's see, Church, Tuxedos, Music. This either a wedding or a funeral. Please tell me it's the latter."
"Sorry." He laughed. "Guess your fucked up the ass."
"And just who's wedding is this?" I asked looking down the inside of my suit.
"Take a guess numb-nuts."
"Yours?"
"Fuck no."
"Well I'm out of ideas then." I said admittedly.
"Yours dumb-ass."
"Oh...Wait what?!"
"Man you really lose your shit when you drink." He said wryly.
"Eat my ass."
"Whatever. C'mon, it's almost time." He said walking toward a door I just noticed.
He opened it and I peered through to see quite a few people on the right hand side but absolutely no one on the left. I stepped with Huang and noticed something strange about the people that were there, they all looked very familiar. Especially the ones in the front most rows. There were about five young woman, an older woman and what looked like her husband sitting together. The man had almost dark blue hair that was parted to the right and the woman had long hair that seemed to be dyed in white and light purple stripes.
The younger woman all looked fairly different from each other. They all sat next to each other in a row. One with really light skin and styled pink hair, another with really light skin and styled purple hair, one with a tan and blonde hair that was twisted in a sort of braid, one with a lesser tan and hair done similarly but was dyed to look like a rainbow, and lastly one with sort of pasty skin and large pink curls styled back. "Jesus Christ this just tanfuckigfasctic." I thought sourly.
What else was strange was that there was an older woman and a teenage girl standing near the priest. They both had fairly light skin and long hair. The older woman's hair was a light-pink and the young girl had light-blue hair. The older woman stared at me distantly and the young girl seemed to scowl. "The fuck did I do?" I let slip.
"It's nothing man. She's been giving me the evil eye all day." Huang said laughingly.
"It's a wedding. And everyone seems all upset or something." I then noticed one of the main reasons. On the the left hand side of the podium were Jeremy and Justin. "Bloody brilliant, those two."
"Those guys are some real fuck-bins, you know that?"
"Yeah, but they're my fuck-bins." I said dryly.
We walked up to the podium and stood there waiting.
"So you're my best man?" I guessed.
"Looks that way."
"It's weird, I never thought I would get married." I said looking down to my dress shoes.
"Not getting weak knees, are we?" He joked.
"I don't know. I'm kind of nervous. Mainly from a certain hunch I have."
I really could feel a pit in my stomach. My mind was swimming in how strange it felt to be in this position. Everyone seemed to looked at me with blank faces and the priest seemed to have a crooked smile.
"Here." Huang said digging into the inner pocket of his coat. He pulled out a red and white piece of cloth and handed it to me.
I held it in my hands and felt somewhat at ease. I slipped the folded piece of cloth into my pocket and straightened up. The ceremony began and the door at the end of the isle slowly swung open.
