Chapter 6: A different route (Raw)
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe car dove through the open air onto the freeway. Hitting the ground hard, shaking it violently.
"Well, the suspensions been fucked and I think Justin's gonna be pretty pissed." I said cheekily.
Twilight only looked at me, giving off a feeling of how the hell did that just happen.
"What...Who...are you?!" She asked, taken aback by the events that just unfolded.
"Love, I'm the sour jackass that found you in my backyard." I said plainly.
"Do you even know what you just did?" She asked seriously.
"Two acts of assault, One count of resisting arrest, One count of intoxication in public, and some possible speeding tickets, Why?"
She only looked at me, her eyes giving away her thoughts. "I can't understand you."
"Whats to understand. Shit happens and I take care of things my way."
She only looked through the window of her side without responding.
"You hungry?" I asked looking at the dashboard clock. 12:00
"What makes you think that?" She asked, almost on cue an audible grumble came from her stomach.
"I'm not stupid." I said, pulling off the freeway onto the normal street and into the parking lot of a diner.
I parked and we got out. As I walked in Twilight followed close behind. The sign by the entrance read 'please be seated'. I took the closest booth to the door and waited. Twilight sat across from me looking over the menu.
"You probably want to look at the salads."
One club and a salad later, we waited at the booth for the waitress do come back for the plates.
"How can you eat another animal?" Twilight asked, fairly disgusted.
"It's nature, besides plants are living things too so it doesn't really matter." I answered looking off toward the kitchen.
"I never thought of it that way." Twilight said. "I guess they are."
"You done?" I asked, not even looking toward her.
"Yeah."
"Great, let's go." I said, stepping out of the booth.
"What, you're not going to pay?" She asked looking serious.
"No. There a problem?"
"Yes there's a problem!" She went on. "That's wrong."
"You do realize what I did not... twenty minutes ago right?"
She folded her arms and refused to move.
"Come on."
"No."
"Twilight, we're leaving."
"No."
Done arguing, I picked her and put her over my shoulder.
"What are you doing?!" She panicked, squirming.
"Dealing with shit my way." I answered, ignoring the other people beginning to stare.
"Put me down."
"Nope."
"Why are so okay with this?"
"I've carried you three times today, I honestly don't care."
I walked through the lot to the car. As I got to it I set her down and got in the driver seat. She sat down in the passenger seat, arms folded, scowling.
"Why do you have to do things like that?
"Why does your ass look so good?" I joked.
*Give criticism, don't just thumb down and leave. Give me a reason you don't like it.
Yes, I still want comments on these after all the progress.
