"I can't believe this. I can't believe we're trapped in here and there's no way out. I just... no..."

I started to lay down and sob into Thunderlane's chest, she was just there, lying beside me. Lifting one of her front hooves, she started to stroke my mane. Now, I know she's trying her best to calm me down but looking at the situation we just got ourselves into, it's really unlikely that I'd be smiling at this right now!

       Yep, my name's Rainbow Dash and right now, me and Thunderlane are stuck inside a cave with a couple of rocks in front of us and there's no way out. Not too long ago, we tried to push the rocks away, but that didn't work; we tried punching a hole on one of the walls, including the ceiling but that didn't work either, so trying to exit from the inside was pretty much hopeless. I know it's really unlikely for an awesome pony such as myself to just go and cry, let alone in front of somepony but who can blame me?

       I continued to sob into Thunderlane's chest as she continued to stroke my mane. "Don't worry Dash, everything will be alright. Your friends will save us... I hope." Thunderlane said with a gentle tone. I looked up at her to see her face. There were just so much tears welling up in my eyes that I can't even see clearly, but at least I know she was staring back at me. After a few seconds spent looking at each other, I said "I know that, Thunderlane... but what if they can't save us in time. Sooner or later, the air’s going to disappear, you know." I sniffled as I stopped looking at Thunderlane's face and started to lay down and rest my head on her chest again.

      I wasn't crying anymore but I was still scared, I knew that the longer we stay here, the higher the chance that me and Thunderlane will die of suffocation... I can only wish that somepony will save us right now. Anyway, you must be wondering how I got into this mess and why I keep referring Thunderlane as she and her and well, since I've got nothing better to do, I guess it wouldn't hurt to tell you what happened yesterday.

Anyway, my name is Rainbow Dash and this is my story.

YAAAAAAAWN!

It was just a few minutes after sunrise when I woke up from my bed; the beams were just hitting my eyelids. I knew there were still crusts in my eyes so I rose my hooves up and started to wipe them off. After that, I slowly opened up my eyes, ready to take on another day full of adventures, fun, work and whatnot, but when I did open my eyes, what greeted me in front of my eyes was a simple cloud door, with a few framed photos beside it, unfortunately, they were too far away to see what those photos were but I knew I had only one framed photo in my room and that photo was sitting on my drawer but when I looked to my left where the drawer and the framed photo were supposed to be, I only saw a simple cloud wall.

“Wh-where am I?”

Knowing something weird was going on, I looked around the room and noticed that instead of the circular windows I owned, these windows were horseshoe-shaped, and when I looked to my right, I was expecting to see a door exiting to this very room but nope, all I saw was just a cloud wall. I also realized that my balcony that was supposed to be to the left of this room was gone. Getting off from my bed, I walked around and noticed that there was a door to the right of this room and judging by the sign posted on said door, this was a stallion's bathroom.

"Oooookay, so bathroom door, arched windows, and no balcony........ yup, this ain't my room! I must be dreaming."

Pacing back and forth in this totally different room, I was thinking about flying outside since this was my dream and all but when I rose my head up to take a final look at the room before flying out, I was shocked to see what stood up before my eyes. What stood right there, hung up on a cloud wall was a medium-sized framed picture of a black pegasus stallion with blue and white mohawk mane, this stallion also had a cutie mark of a thundercloud with a lightning bolt coming out of it. There was also a little pegasus colt sitting beside him but that wasn't the one that caught my attention, it was the black-coated stallion that was with him that did and I'm sure as heck I knew what his name was.

"Thunderlane..."

I gritted my teeth and let out a growl as I stared into the insulting picture, anger slowly starting to take over me as the Thunderlane was wearing a smug expression on his face, looking down at me like he was at the top of the world while I was way below him.

"That lazy bum Thunderlane.... what the HECK is this guy doing here in MY dream... and in a picture of all things?! ......I swear to Celestia that if this was a cruel prank by Princess Luna, I'm sure as hay ain't laughing right now." Me and Thunderlane go way back

"Oh wait, did I say 'until' we graduated? I meant HE NEVER STOPPED!"

I wasn't overreacting either, just a few years after graduation, me and Thunderlane somehow managed to get into the same weather team but lucky for me, I was the leader of said weather team so I was practically his boss but nope, when I asked him to do something for the weather team like move some rain clouds over at Sweet Apple Acres or whatever, he just says a simple nope and just flies away. To him, it means he simply doesn't want to work right now but to me, this was a big hidden profanity with a bow on it and proof of his own laziness, in fact he still does it to this day onward and I'm sure he's not gonna stop anytime sooner. I just can't believe he's still getting paid for this when he deserves none at all!

"And that pretty much sums up our relationship..... Ugh! I swear if I was the leader of the whole weather team, I would've fired him by now. When somepony else like Blossomforth asks him to do something, he just nods and does it but when I ask him to do something, he just says no and flies away!" I thought as I started to shift my gaze to Rumble, the little pegasus colt on the picture. "On the other hoof, Rumble here is pretty much like Scotaloo, always nice, honest, loyal, and all around obedient, unlike his BROTHER here who is nothing like HIM at all! I can't believe they're even related..... I wonder if Rumble's adopted, hmmmm."

"Annnnnyway, enough about Thunderlane, I gotta---"

I spoke for the first time in this dream and just when I did, I interrupted myself by covering my mouth with my hoof,  and I wasn't even saying a bad word, I did what I did because...

"Did I just spoke... in Thunderlane's voice?!"

At that very moment, I was drowned in pure horror and shock as I quickly examined myself, and to tell you the truth, things weren't sunshine and butterflies anymore. "Black hooves, black wings, black body, mohawk mane, square muzzle and..." I turned my head around to see what my cutie mark was. When I saw what it was, I shouted in a masculine voice "AND THUNDERCLOUD CUTIE MARK!!! I TURNED INTO THUNDERLANE!!!" Without even thinking straight, I quickly flew out through the open window and flew as fast as I could as several things were enterting my mind.

"Th-th-that room I just woke up in right now.... was it... Thunderlane's room?"

"This is a dream right? If it was, there's nothing to scream about, I'm sure this will all be over soon!"

"Oh for pete's sakes, Dash! IF IT WAS A DREAM, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TURNED INTO A THUNDERLANE! You wouldn't dream as crazy as that, and even if you did, why him of all ponies?! And don't even get me started on how you dreamed up his room!"

Tears were starting to well up me eyes when suddenly my flying was put to a sudden halt when I bumped on to a pony, I didn't have the time to tell who I crashed into because as soon as I bumped into him or her, I was immediately knocked unconscious by the impact.

I let out a loud groan and started to came to when I slowly opened up my eyes, but unfortunately, what I saw in front of me was a mix of blue and a little bit of white.

"Oh wait, my vision's messed up! That crash must have done quite a number on me, I have to get my vision fixed first.... oh hey, my wings are still spread!"

I thought to myself as I slowly flapped my wings, whoever I crashed into, I must have been lying on their chest when I was unconscious. After making sure I wasn't near him or her, I lifted one of my black hooves and started to rub my head  in a circle, all the while flapping my wings, I wasn't planning to fly away from the pony, or at least not in this state! After a few minutes or so has passed, I was feeling better and I was pretty much ready to open up my eyes again.

"There! That's much better, I think I can finally open up my eyes now! Time to see this.... pony who I crashed into. Hope she or he isn't angry with me." As soon as that thought entered my mind, I opened up my eyes and what stood right in front of me was the most freakiest thing I've seen in my whole life.

It was a cyan colored pegasus mare with a rainbow-colored mane and tail, it had a cutie mark of a cloud shooting out lightning with three colors: red, yellow, and blue on its flank. The mare was just lying on the cloud, looking at me with its magenta eyes. Just then, I finally found my voice kicked in and together with the mare, we both shouted.

"ARE YOU ME?!?!"
