Let's Go on an Adventure Pt. 2

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

At the edge of the Everfree forest the crusaders stood with Gavin and Michael. In the Everfree, weather wasn’t controlled by pegasi, the animals took care of themselves, and there were creatures in there that could eat a pony whole. Gavin convinced himself that nothing is in there and if there was something, Michael would protect him and the two fillies.

“Well let’s go.” Michael said.

“Now?” Gavin asked.

“What’s the matter Gavin? Scared?” Michael teased.

“No, but this is no place for little ponies. Especially girl ponies.” Gavin said. Michael rolled his eyes at what Gavin said.

“Hey, we’re the ones that asked you to go on the adventure with us. Also we’ve been in there before.” Sweetie Belle said.

“Likely story.” Gavin said. Sweetie Belle and Gavin started fighting. Apple Bloom stood next to Michael then she looked up at him.

“Michael, is he always this dumb?” Apple Bloom asked.

“Yes.” Michael answered.

“Is Ray stupid too?” Apple Bloom asked.

“Nope, he’s pretty smart.” Michael said.

“Earlier he forgot he could fly.” Apple Bloom said.

“He does have his moments. Remind me to keep Gavin away from high places.” Michael said.

“He’ll try to fly won’t he?” Apple Bloom asked.

“Yup.” Michael said.

“Well you want to enter the forest?” Apple Bloom asked.

“Yeah, it might get the other two to move.” Michael said. The two started walking into the forest and that’s when Gavin and Sweetie Belle noticed they were getting left behind. As they caught up they continued to argue about the stupidest of things. Finally things got quiet for a little bit and then the stupid questions ensued.

“So what are we collecting?” Gavin asked.

“Huh? Oh, we’re gonna collect some plants.” Apple Bloom said.

“What for?” Gavin asked.

“Gavin, enough of the questions.” Michael said.

“I just want to know why we are here in this scary place.” Gavin said.

“Just shut up, you might attract a monster.” Michael said. Just as he expected, Gavin shut up and they continued walking throughout the Everfree collecting plants. There were some instances where Michael had to carry a member of the party. Things were going smoothly but little did they know a creature that wanted an easy meal was stalking them.

The group had decided to take a break since two of them are fillies, and one is just like a child, so they had to stop. While the others ate, Michael sat next to a tree and stared up to the sky. He couldn’t shake this feeling they were being followed, but he just shrugged it off and watched as Gavin fought with Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom. Watching those three fight about stupid facts reminds him of things back at the office.

Meanwhile back in Ponyville, more specifically the Carousel Boutique Applejack is frantically trying to find her sister. Rarity is trying to reassure her frantic friend.

“She is off crusading with my sister and two of those humans.” Rarity said.

“D’ya know where they went?” Applejack asked. The tension in the room was so thick, not even Miley Cyrus could break it with her wrecking ball.

“I don’t know.” Rarity said.

“This is bad.” Applejack said.

“Why?” Rarity asked. Then the sudden realization set in. She had allowed these humans to go on an adventure with her little sister. “We must find them.”

“Well let’s go.” Applejack said. The two worried sisters ran out to go look for their little sisters. Little did they know, they were in excellent hands…ones that did not belong to Gavin.

Back to the Crusaders and Team Nice Dynamite. The little ones finished up and they continued on with their quest. As they walked along Gavin stayed back with Michael.

“So what I’m saying is that this world is basically impossible.” Gavin said.

“Gavin, what are you talking about?” Michael asked.

“We shouldn’t even be here, like this is another universe and we shouldn’t be able to exist in this place.” Gavin said.

“We shouldn’t be here but here we are.” Michael said.

“Another thing, they said there would be monsters but there aren’t any monsters.” Gavin said.

“Now you’re just asking for something scary to jump out.” Michael said.

“Don’t say that Michael…” Gavin said.

“You’re the one that was asking about monsters.” Michael said.

“Could you two stop talking for awhile?” Sweetie Belle asked. The two fillies stopped and looked back at the two men arguing. Michael and Gavin stopped and stared at the fillies in confusion.

“Yeah, it’s kinda gettin’ old.” Apple Bloom said.

“Are you done collecting your stuff?” Gavin asked.

“Yeah now we have to find our way out.” Sweetie Belle said. Some time passed and they stood in the middle of the Everfree without moving.

“Well aren’t we going to go back to…wherever that place is?” Gavin said.

“Uh…” Both fillies said. They looked at each other because they had realized, that neither nopony nor nobody kept track of where they were going. The worst fears have been realized, they are lost in the middle of the Everfree forest with two strange beings. In their minds they hoped their sisters would’ve realized they’d gone off on an adventure with the two humans and seeing what Ray did earlier, hopefully Applejack is frantically searching for the two.

“That doesn’t sound good.” Michael said.

“What’s wrong?” Gavin asked in a panic.

“You guys wouldn’t have happened to remember which way we came from?” Sweetie Belle asked.

“We’re lost?” Gavin asked. His eyes got bigger because he was in the middle of a strange forest in a strange world inhabited by equines, and there are creatures that could eat a pony whole.

“Maybe our sisters are coming for us.” Sweetie Belle said.

“Did anypony see us walkin’ into the Everfree?” Apple Bloom asked.

“Hopefully.” Sweetie Belle said.

“Shouldn’t we try to backtrack?” Gavin asked.

“No, that’s a horrible idea.” Michael said.

“Well Geoff isn’t going to teleport us out of this one.” Gavin said.

“No duh, we’re not in Minecraft.” Michael said.

“Then why should we stay put?” Gavin asked.

“Because they could track us and if we move they will take longer to find us.” Michael said. The two fillies and Gavin suddenly got a look of fear as they looked at something behind Michael.

“M-Michael…” Gavin stuttered.

“Run!” Apple Bloom said. The three started running away. Michael turned to see the frightening creature staring at him. A fearsome Timberwolf let out a vicious roar as Michael turned to run. Running as fast as he could he tried to catch up with the Crusaders to protect them somehow. Gavin can handle himself, while these fillies being young and all; he just felt the need to protect them.

“What is that thing?” Gavin yelled. Both he and Michael looked back at the Timber wolf, and noticed it turned into a pack of Timberwolves.

“It’s called a Timberwolf!” Michael yelled to Gavin.

“A Timber-what?” Gavin asked. He tripped over a rock and started rolling down a hill. Half the pack broke off and chased after Gavin while the other half continued chasing after Michael and the crusaders.

“What are we going to do?” Apple Bloom asked.

“Keep running comes to mind.” Sweetie Belle said. They nearly ran off a cliff but luckily they stopped in time. The Timberwolves started to close in on the three of them.

“Ah wish mah sister was here…” Apple Bloom said. She hoped her sister would come and save them much like she did when she tried to make that pie delivery and that Chimera was about to eat her. However today she wasn’t as lucky, so she hid behind Michael.

Not wanting to see the fillies hurt Michael punched one and it broke apart but another Timberwolf took that one’s place. It seems as though this was it, but no, it couldn’t be. Michael clenched his fists and started punching the Timberwolves. Just like Magic he was engulfed with a magical aura and he became the mighty spirit, Mogar.

After a few minutes all the Timberwolves were annihilated. The crusaders looked on in awe at their savior. Michael returned to normal then shook his head and looked around. In awe of what he did he stared at the broken branches on the ground. He had this feeling of awesomeness and achievement, so he smiled.

Moments later Applejack and Rarity showed up and the two crusaders ran over to their big sisters. The two mares looked at the ground then back to Michael. He in a casual manner he walked over to the ponies.

“What happened here?” Applejack asked.

“We were attacked by a buncha Timberwolves an’ Michael saved us.” Apple Bloom said. Applejack looked on in disbelief while Rarity looked like she was counting them.

“Where’s that other fellow?” Rarity asked. Michael’s eyes widened as he remembered the Timberwolves chasing after Gavin after he tripped.

“I’m coming for you Gavin!” Michael yelled as he ran off in the direction he hoped Gavin was in. The ponies followed Michael as he went off in search of his friend. Even if sometimes Gavin annoyed him with how stupid he was, Michael still considered him his friend.

“What happened exactly?” Applejack asked.

“We were escorting the crusaders here as they gathered some stuff for something. Timberwolves attacked, Gavin tripped then rolled off somewhere. I protected the crusaders with some sort of magic.” Michael said. He finally saw some prints and started following them. The prints appeared to be human so that gave him hope that Gavin got up and started running. “How did you find us?”

“Rainbow Dash.” Applejack said.

“Is she flying over or what?” Michael asked.

“Darling, she’s the one that found you three. I’m sure she’ll find your friend.” Rarity said. They kept running as they tried to find Gavin. Every tree started to look the same and it was frustrating Michael. Hopefully Gavin wasn’t done in by the Timberwolves or had any done to him by the pony that hated him the most. In the distance he could hear the terrified screams that sounded like Gavin’s screams.

“Gavin! I’m coming for you!” Michael yelled.

“Michael! I’m scared!” Gavin yelled back. Michael ran as fast as he could in that direction. It was a good thing it wasn’t too late to save Gavin. Hopefully he could save Gavin much like he did with the crusaders.

Sitting terrified in a tree, Gavin had a vice grip on the top branch and tried not to look down. After tripping and nearly getting done in by the scary monsters, he had hoped Michael would save him somehow. To hear Michael’s voice sorta calmed him down but the Timberwolves circling the tree still scared him.

“Michael!” Gavin cried out. He could hear the branch start to break. He looked around to see if Michael was there but all he could see was the Timberwolves still circling.

“Gavin! I’m almost there!” Michael yelled.

“Hurry Michael!” Gavin yelled. He didn’t know what would give first, him or the tree. Then he heard something snap then he started plummeting towards the ground. Bracing for impact he closed his eyes tightly. A few moments passed and he couldn’t feel the ground. Opening his eyes he looked up to see Rainbow Dash holding him up, just a little bit above the Timberwolves' reach.

“Gavin!” Michael yelled. He ignored Michael this time and continued to stare in awe that Rainbow Dash rescued him.

“Y-you saved me.” Gavin said.

“Did I now?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Don’t drop me.” Gavin said.

“I won’t if you apologize for what happened earlier.” Rainbow Dash said.

“Nothing happened. You just overreacted.” Gavin said.

“You sure?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Yes.” Gavin said. He could feel Rainbow Dash loosening her grip on him. “Okay I was wrong of asking you that kind of stuff, fighting with you, and all that other junk.”

“I guess that’ll do.” Rainbow Dash said. She started to fly up but Gavin was snagged on something so he fell out of her grip and fell into the Timberwolves below. “I didn’t mean to do that.” Watching on in horror, she looked away and got out of there as fast as she could.

Michael and the others finally stumbled upon Gavin and the Timberwolves. Instantly the two older ponies covered the eyes of their sisters while Michael looked on in horror. He wasn’t quick enough. Feeling the magic pulsing through him, he clenched his fists and rushed into the Timberwolves.

After annihilating the Timberwolves he turned to where Gavin’s body was, but there was nothing there. The others walked over, equally as confused by the occurrence. Then suddenly Gavin walked up to them. He didn’t have a scratch or bruise on him.

“Hey guys…oh looks like someone got on your nerves.” Gavin said.

“B-but…” Michael said.

“What is it Michael?” Gavin asked.

“You were just here and now you’re there.” Michael said.

“Uh…I have no idea what you are talking about.” Gavin said.

“But you were…and now you are…” Michael said. Completely dumbfounded and with the lack of words for what he has witnessed.

Finally Rainbow Dash flew back as if to see how things went before she accidentally killed Gavin. When she saw Gavin standing there without a scratch she landed next to her friends and stared on in awe.

“I thought you were dead.” Rainbow Dash said.

“Me? Dead? No.” Gavin said.

“I saw you fall into the Timberwolves.” Rainbow Dash said.

“Timber what?” Gavin asked.

“Can somepony tell me what exactly is going on?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Yer guess is as good as mine.” Applejack said. The three older ponies began talking amongst each other. So Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle went over and circled Gavin once.

“Ya thinkin’ the same thing Ah’m thinkin’?” Apple Bloom asked.

“Respawn?” Sweetie Belle asked.

“Maybe due to the magic in this world an’ the magical disappearance of the game caused this?” Apple Bloom asked.

“Maybe. We need more evidence of the magical abilities.” Sweetie Belle said.

“We’ll talk later.” Apple Bloom said. The fillies looked up at Michael and Gavin who were staring at them in confusion. “What?”

“All of that you just said.” Michael said.

“Oh that…uh…yeah. Ask Ray.” Apple Bloom said. She wanted to divert their attention to Ray since one, he’s not here, and two he’s far away from her sister who would probably disapprove of her doing something so foolish.

“Ray knows about this?” Michael asked.

“Oh look Michael sticks all over.” Gavin said. He reached down and grabbed a stick and poked Michael with the stick. Michael sighed and resisted beating the hell out of Gavin.

“Please tell me he didn’t get stupider.” Michael said.

“We don’t know what happens. This is the first time we’ve seen it happen and apparently it only happens with you humans.” Sweetie Belle said.

“Uh…what?” Gavin asked.

“Ah think it made him stupider.” Apple Bloom said.

“You and me both.” Michael said. The three older ponies joined the four.

“Well we better git y’all outta here bef’re anythin’ else happens.” Applejack said. All of them made their way out of the Everfree forest, with more questions on their minds. One thing was certain things were getting weirder and weirder.

Meanwhile in a remote and nearly unreachable place in Equestria, the crazed man known as Ryan stared into a crystal ball. With a cow dubbed Edgar at his side he laughed manically.

“Edgar my faithful second-in-command; how is the search for more bovine?” Ryan asked.

“Moo.” Edgar said. Ryan looked down at Edgar and patted him on the head.

“Good. This rule of equines is coming to an end, after all they have those idiots helping them…or rather the colorful equines are helping my idiot…friends? Well I don’t think friends is a way to describe it…my co-workers, that’s the word I was looking for.” Ryan said.

“Moo.” Edgar said.

“Geoff? He’s drunk and he’s ruling over them I think this will be easy.” Ryan said.

“Moo.” Edgar said.

“The colorful ponies? Well I have to keep watching them before I make any notion based on their activities.” Ryan said.

“Moo?” Edgar said.

“Jack, won’t find a way. Ray will mess something up. Gavin will keep killing himself. Michael and Lindsay will be sent back to that one place they were talking about. Kerry is just as useful as Gavin…maybe less.” Ryan said.

“Moo.” Edgar said.

“Edgar, with this power I have, nobody can stop me and of course you…oh and our army.” Ryan said. He laughed his crazed laugh then returned to the crystal ball. “Let’s see how Lindsay is doing with what’s-her-face.” The image on the crystal ball changed from the group in the Everfree to Lindsay helping Fluttershy with some various animal tending.
