"UP AND AT 'EM! TIME FOR THE MORNING ROUTINE!!!!" yelled one of the changeling guards.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm up. Hey Blaze, it's morning." Blaze heard Blizzard's voice. She slowly opened her eyes to adjust to the morning skylight. Her head still hurt from all the crying last night, but she was sure it would go away by sunrise.
"Ugh, why so early? It's a weekend." Blaze complained. The two ponies usually went for training on weekdays, and got to sleep in on weekends. Even crazy changelings have to give their "weapons" a rest sometimes.
"BECAUSE THE QUEEN SAID SO! SO GET UP!" the guard barked again. Blaze quickly scrambled out of the small bed she shared with Blizzard. Blizzard was an early bird, so he had no problem waking up at three AM. Then again, pretty much all pegasi are used to waking up early. Must be those boring studies finally kicking in.

When they go to the Training Room, Blaze spotted the queen standing in the middle of the room talking to her subjects.
"Hmmmm.... yes, yes. That will be a good attack plan. And what if they attack first, then what will you do?" Of course, all the changelings were stumped. The only bright one, named General Ruin, was the first to speak.
"Your Greatness, we have a large amount of soldiers who will stay. After all, the pods are located here. So if one dies, they'll just regenerate from a larger pod. This plan is flawless. Now, all we need are the secret weapons."
"My ponies will be here shortly for more training. That stupid blue pegasus always gets it wrong." The queen said. "Oh, and Ruin? You get to be the one that leads the first invasion. You are the one who came up with this entire idea, anyway."
The meeting stopped when Ruin pointed to the two ponies who had heard the entire talk.
"Ah, my ponies. You are finally here! Now move along, and follow General Ruin to the Silent Cave. There, you will be tested to see if you are ready for your next task... and don't fail. If you fail, you die."
