After Blizzard had confessed to Blaze about his love for her, and she confessed to him, there was silence. For at least an hour, maybe. Whenever Blaze glanced at him, he'd slightly look back, but she would have been awkwardly staring at the wall by then. She truly did have some social problems. It was only until Blaze didn't look away that he purposefully met her gaze. He was a little taken back by her vibrant blue eyes, but he didn't look away. Instead, he pulled her head towards his and kissed her. Not like they did when they were mocking Chrysalis as a mother, but full on the lips. Blaze stiffened, but Blizzard didn't let her go. She was his now; she said it herself. After what seemed like forever in heaven, he quietly said so no one next door could hear him,
"Forget the changelings. Forget our old life. Let's escape this dungeon, and live our real lives, among creatures of our own kind, who we could laugh and talk with, friends who'd never fade. We could live the life we always wanted."
They finally broke apart, and at that same moment, Blaze said, "Yep. I'm done with these uglies. Let them get their own weapons. I'm not getting tested another time. Not ever."
They both exchanged a mischievous glance, and then started planning their escape.
"Okay, first, we need to go through the main hall without being noticed. Hmmmmmm..... how would that work?"
"OH! OH! I know! I could try one of those spells from that book you found a couple of years ago! Who knows, maybe there's one that could make us invisible..."
They went on for a long time. Blizzard started to put everything back in order, so that no clues were left. Blaze seemed to be getting pretty far with the book. She had claimed to find many different spells to grant invisibility, but they all seemed nearly impossible for her under-trained magic. But it was worth a try.
