Gentle Shimmer

Luna had been in the human world for three months already. Celestia was starting to worry, but dismissed the thought, thinking that Luna was old enough to take care of herself.

Sunset Shimmer waited inside Luna's office impatiently. She had to tell her something. But Luna was nowhere in sight, and Sunset was starting to fear for her old friend. After all, what if something had happened to her? What if Celestia had somehow forced the portal open and taken Luna back? No, that was impossible. Luna was under oath to stay in the human world.

She took a few nervous puffs of her cigarette and paced around the room. The fire was lit, the wine was perfectly chilled, and nobody was around. The date will be perfect, she told herself, so just calm down.

Luna finally arrived after half an hour.

"Sorry I'm late," she gasped, "but I had some errands to run. As in, literally run."

Sunset could barely contain her anger. Luna had been acting up lately. She wasn't sure what it was, but she didn't want to find out. But one more incident like this...
