Chapters "Luna. Please speak to me."
"You want to change me. Ponies hate my silken night but relish your shining day. 'Oh Celestia! You're the only one we ever see! Princess Luna is stupid! All she can raise is the moon!' You know what, Celestia?! I'M PUTTING AN END TO THIS! I'M SICK OF THOSE B-"
"Luna. Some ponies adore your night."
"Oh don't start it, sister! You KNOW they cherish your bright, glimmering sun but hate my opal moon."
A young Celestia bit her lip. Ponies DID enjoy her day better than my night.
I had known this all along.
The door flung open. The white alicorn filly looked up. She backed up, her light pink mane being smashed against the alabaster walls.
"Luna! Sister! Calm yourself!"
A gargantuan mare stood before her.
It was me.
My coat was as black as the night itself, and just barely blacker. My mane was laced with nightmares and terror. A silvery-blue helmet clasped tightly around my ears.
"YOU WANT THE WEAK LUNA!! THE LUNA THAT FALLS TO YOUR EVERY WHIM AND WILL!! " My voice was thick with horror. I lowered my voice to an ominous growl as tears started to brim the shaking filly beneath me."You know what I think of that Luna? " I used her magic to constrict the trembling Celestia around her small neck.
I don't know what overtook me. It was a tiny nagging in the corner of my mind.
"Hkgh... L-Luna... Krahkc.... Ple-ease d-don't... KHARCH! DO THIS!" She choked on her words.
"Pitiful Foal. MY NAME IS NO LONGER LUNA!! YOU SHALL ADDRESS ME AS NIGHTMARE MOON!! I SHALL WREAK HAVOC ON YOU SIMPLETON PONY FOLK FOR A THOUSAND YEARS! " I thought this had scarred her enough, but something inside me ached to make her scream.
"Oh Celelstia, " I mocked, slamming her onto the floor. "don't you wish I would be docile? Be kind? Merely a pony again? HAH! Don't make me laugh, foal. Send me to the moon. I don't care. Send me off to another universe where apes walk on two legs and talk! "
"I-if that's w-what you w-w-want, then f-fine." Her horn shimmered. It gleamed with a thousand shards of sunlight.
I'll be honest.
It blinded me.
Made my eyes burn.
But I couldn't back down now.
No, she would never forgive me.

YUP TOTALLY NOT A CHAPTER JUST KEEP MOVING FOLKS
She never did.
She never has and never will.
Never.
Not in a thousand years.
Not in a billion.
I have been peaceful.
I have been kind.
I only dared to speak of what others have been dreaming for so long.
I have dreams too, Dreams of what might've been if ponies were simply ponies.
And day and night were equal.
If wishing for that is heresy, then, Yes, I deserve to be nightmares incarnated as a mare.
I have seen acts of the most sublime kindness,
and the most vile cruelty.
They say ponies become angry when they have no love for the night.
What made you so?
Are you scared of change?
Scared of those who are different?
I realize I AM different.
I have known feelings that none of you can ever hope to know.
I have known the kindess of a friend who supported me against all odds.
The Passion of silence when everything else around me was screaming.
I have known a love and true passion that transcended all definition.
There's no use in hiding it now.
You can all see me for what I am.
The Horror.
The Mutant.
Nightmare Moon.
As the young Princess Celestia's magic continued to gleam, I was taken aback.
This was much against her nature.
Usually when I have my hissy fits, she calms me down and sings to me.
But this was extremely odd.
She actually was listening and sent me to the moon.
Like I was saying, her magic had peaked its climax and began to surround me.
I tried kicking it, stabbing it with my horn, but nothing worked. I felt my legs, chest, head, wings, and finally horn turn into vapor.
This was it.
The moment I'd be whisked off to the moon.
It was tragic as is, but to make it worse,
The last thing I saw was
Her.
A forlorn look swam in her eyes, mixed with the disgust painted across her muzzle.
It broke my heart.
"T-TIA!" That was the last time I said the nickname for one thousand years.
It was terrible.
As the light spiraled around me and topped off right above my horn, Celestia let her magic falter so she could say good bye before I left.
"I'm sorry Luna," I couldn't see her, but her voice was choked with sorrow. "but y-you wished this upon y-yourself. G-goodbye, Sister."
"TIAAAA!" That was the final scream I heard before everything went silent and black.
"T-tia..."
