The King of Dragons

(Two weeks later)

Spike sighed as he got off the train his mind going over everything that Cadence and Shining went over with him. Those two could be real slave drivers if they wanted to be.

He flew over the streets of Canterlot heading home to see his mother, he could use some of his mother's affection after the long two weeks of hell that he went through, Cadence had actually found a spell that could transfer all the knowledge of a pony to another.

So after three hours of her transferring experience and knowledge from her to him about running a nation while Shining did the same with commanding a military. After that everything was put into practise for the next week and a half till he could perform them in his sleep.

Spike sighed as he flew under a pegasus patrol who all waved at him while he gave a lazy wave back before continuing on his way to see if his mother was in a meeting that he could drag her away from or see if she was in the garden.

Spike flew around the side where the gardens were, not spotting her before flying down landing outside the doors that led inside.

Spike searched high and low for his mother and was beginning to think she was in Ponyville. He growled in frustration before a idea hit him making him grin.

He took a deep breath channeling his dragon magic snickering in his head at the genius of this plan.

"MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!" He could hear his voice echo through the castle along with the stumbling hooves of his mother coming around the corner. The Canterlot voice is awesome.

Spike smiled as Celestia slid across the marble floor before coming to a stop in front of him panting a little.

"Spike? Sweetie what are you doing here?" She said as he walked towards her and pulled her into a hug.

"I wanted to see you, I've been searching everywhere for you and I couldn't find you." He said sniffing a bit to add to the dramatic effect feeling her arms go around him and pull him into her glorious bust.

"Honey you know you're only suppose to use the Canterlot voice if you're in trouble." She cooed running her fingers across his spines hearing him start to purr making her smile remembering the days when he was just a hatchling.

"I know but I got worried and when I couldn't find you or Aunt Luna, I panicked." He whimpered while she squeezed him closer.

"Oh sweetie, it's ok. I was just meeting with some of the nobles about another stupid thing about expanding their house." She reassured as he looked up at her with tears in the corner of his eyes and a trembling lip that just made Celestia's heart melt.

"Come on sweet heart, I'll go cancel my meeting with the nobles and then I'll cook you a nice big ruby and roast dinner. How's that sound?" She asked as Spike's face lit up and hugged her tighter making her laugh and hug him closer as well.

'SCORE!!!'

"Thanks mom." He stated as she had him meet her in the kitchen while she addressed the nobles.

It wasn't long after when Celestia came in with a gleaming roast while Spikes eyes lit up and he started to drool when it was sat in front of him.

Celestia magicked a plate of salad and other veggie goods onto the table for herself and sat beside him.

"I hear you spent some time with Shining and Cadence for some training on being a ruler and good military leader. Why didn't you come to me if you wanted to know those things Spike? You know I would drop anything for you." Celestia pouted as the dragon smiled.

"I'm sorry mom but I know you would be meeting with diplomats from the Griffon Kingdom along with the rulers of Saddle Arabia and Britania." He said pulling her close to him and nuzzling into her shoulder.

"Besides I had business in the empire and I hadn't seen Cadence and Shining since I got back." He said as she smiled and put her arm around him.

"Ok, but what business did you have in the empire?"

"To kill Flash Sentry if I found out he cheated on Twilight." He said as she nodded.

"And did he?" She asked taking a sip of tea calmly.

"No, he told Shining that they were just growing apart and the relationship was getting hard to maintain." He stated taking a bite of his meal while Celestia hummed.

"I see." She smiled as Spike grinned.

"I still scared the crap out of him for making Twilight cry, I even got Cadences permission to do it." He beamed as she fist bumped him.

"That's my boy, you don't mess with family." She smiled before the conversation turned to what they had each been doing this past few months.

Hours later, Spike sighed as he watched his aunt bring her beautiful night from the gardens while his mother had went to bed hours ago.

"You know young Spike, I'm surprised that you're awake still." Spike turned to see Luna landing behind him with a smile.

"Ah, you know I love your nights Aunt Luna, staying up with Twilight all the time and studying, I came to really enjoy the night." He smiled as she came and sat beside him.

"Thank you nephew. I'm happy that more ponies and some dragons enjoy my night." Luna smiled as Spike pulled her close with his wing giving her a hug while a smile spread over her face.

"You're welcome auntie, but I think I'm going to call it a night. I have to get up early in the morning so I can head home and see how Derpy and the other girls are doing." He stated as she nodded pulling him into a hug.

"Good night, Spike and pleasant dreams." Luna said before taking flight.

Spike smiled as he stood on the train platform happy to be back home just as he spotted three of his mares walking towards him.

"Hey Spike." Dinky said glancing at the other two.

"Hey girls, what's the matter?" He asked as they sighed.

"Why don't we go have this talk somewhere more private." Vinyl said while he raised a eyebrow.

"Ok." He stated leading the way to his house.

It was a few hours after the girls had left while Spike sighed sitting on the end of his bed as Akhe walked in and smiled at him.

"Welcome back my king." She said walking up to him pulling him up as he groaned.

"Oh Akhe, I just want to be a little miserable right now." He whined but the smile on his face told her that she came in at the right time.

"Well to bad my lord because your sister along with the rest of your herd don't know that you're home. So I'm sure that they would want to see you." She said pulling him out of the house and down the street just as he was tackled by a pink blur.

"HI SPIKE!!" Pinkie yelled pulling him into a heated kiss.

"I'm sorry if your down about the other girls Spike, but don't worry! Your marefriend is here to make you smile!" She yelled hearing him laugh.

"Thanks Pinkie I needed that." He chuckled as she and Akhe pulled him up while he dusted himself off.

"So where to?" He asked as the two smiled.

"Let's go to AJ's, she's been having a hard time after Big Mac got hurt yesterday. So AJ's been running herself ragged even with our help." She sighed getting nod from Spike as he scooped her up getting a giggled out of her before taking to the skies.

Spike spotted the mare panting as she glared at one of her trees making him smile, he had Pinkie climb on his back and hold on as he banked and came in low barely skimming the grass blades. He grinned as he neared his target just as she turned to him and went wide eyed as he scooped her up getting a yelp out of her before they shot into the sky.

"What in blue blazes is-" She growled and fixed Spike and with a death glare before she noticed that it was him and beamed.

"SPIKE YOUR BACK!" She laughed wrapping her arms around him giving him a searing kiss.

"I missed yuh sugarcube." She grinned before she spotted Pinkie.

"Oh so that's what you were fussin about earlier." Applejack stated as Pinkie nodded.

"See I told you Spike was back, and it looks like the other girls delivered the news to him before I got there." Pinkie sighed.

"Aw well sugarcube, I'm sorry that you had to lose some of the herd but at least you still have us." Applejack said patting her dragons cheek making him smile.

"Yeah, I'm glad I still have you girls. It's no hard feelings though, I understand all their reasons. But enough about that, I believe you are in need of help my lady." Spike said kissing AJ's neck making her giggle.

"If you would sugarcube, you would be a big help." She pleaded as he rolled his eyes and tucked his wings letting gravity take control as they fell while AJ and Pinkie screamed in excitement.

After the work on the farm was done Spike bid farewell to his mares and shot off to see his future wife and unborn child.

Spike sighed as he landed at the door before slowly opening it to find a slumbering Derpy on the couch with a large belly. He smiled at her and couldn't wait for the wedding they had planned after the child's birth.

Spike crept in as Dinky came down the stairs, the two froze before he smiled and shushed her pointing to her mother. Dinky nodded with a small smile watching as her future father-in-law and ex- dragon leaned down giving tiny feather light kisses on the her mothers bulging stomach before she made her leave.

Spike watched Dinky go out of the corner of his eye before returning to his task of rousing his slumbering mare.

"Derpy, wake up." He said gently running a claw down her side making her moan.

"I don't want to. Come back in a few months." She mumbled making him smile, he leaned down kissing his way from her collarbone and up her neck to her ear nibbling on it hearing her gasp.

"Spike? Oh I missed you." She mumbled looking up at his smiling face as he leaned down to kiss her.

"I missed you to, how are you feeling?" He asked as she stretched a little.

"I feel fat and sore all over." She groaned before she felt Spike take her hooves and begin to message them.

"Now I can't have that can I? What kind of husband would I be if I wasn't there in my wife's time of need?" He asked as she giggled.

"I see you've been spending some time with Zecora lately." She said before laying back letting out a sigh as Spike worshipped her body.

After a few hours Derpy had fallen asleep laying against Spike's chest as he messaged her wings, shoulders, arms, and neck.

Spikes claws screamed in pain but he ignored it determined to make sure his queen was taken care of. Spike sighed as he rubbed his claw wincing at the pain but couldn't keep the smile off his face looking at Derpy's content and happy face.

'I may have lost some but by my mother I WILL make sure you and this baby are safe.' He thought as he sank into the couch with Derpy resting on his chest.

Spike heard the door open and close and the sound of hooves padding over the carpet before heading upstairs. He sighed a little knowing that things were going to be really awkward around the two for a while, and he could never treat Dinky like a daughter knowing that it would be weird and only make things worse. For now he would have to bear with it till things calmed down.

Derpy snuggled into her dragon letting out a groan as the baby kicked her. She felt Spike stiffen and knew he was awake worried for her.

"I'm ok Spike, your child just decided to kick me is all." She huffed smiling into his chest feeling his claws running the down her back making her shiver with pleasure as he ran them between her wings.

"Sorry, I figured mine would be a little scamp like I was as a kid." He smiled as she poked him in the chest giggling.

"You're still kind of a kid Spike, you only just turned 20 last month." She giggled hearing him grunt.

"I'll show you a kid." He growled flipping her over getting a surprised yelp from her before she started to laugh as his attacked all her tickle spots.

"NO! NO! STOP! I'M GONNA PEE I SWEAR! HAHAHAHAH!" She laughed harder before he stopped as she panted grinning up at him.

"Can you help me to the bathroom, I really have to pee now." She blushed as he nodded scooping her up heading upstairs.

Later Spike found himself in the kitchen cooking some of Derpy's and Dinky's favorites for dinner. Dinky said she would be back late so he had put hers in the fridge till she came back, while he and Dinky spent some time together while watching a movie.

"Hey Spike." He heard Derpy mumbled as she wrapped her arms around his waist nuzzling into his back.

"Hey beautiful, you ok?" He asked feeling her nod while she breathed in his scent letting out a sigh.

"So what do you think we should do tomorrow?" He asked as she hummed.

"Well, we need to restock the kitchen, the clothes need to be washed, dried, folded, and put away. The house needs to be cleaned up and the yard needs to be picked up and trimmed." She stated hearing him hum.

"Ok, I'll start with the house first and then work my way outside. You beautiful, are you going to relax and have a fun day at the spa." He stated as she blushed.

"Spike you don't have to do that, I don't mind staying here with you." She said her face getting redder by the second.

"I insist, you've been cooped up here for a while now and I know you're bored just laying around the house. So tomorrow when you wake up I'll walk you to the spa and book you for the whole day so you can relax and enjoy yourself. If Dinky wants to go along I'll be more than happy to pay for her to." He said feeling her smile into his back before turning around and pulling her into a hug.

"Thank you Spike." She sighed squeezing him.

"You know I'd do anything for you Derpy." He said turning back to the food while Derpy just held him.

The next day Spike was busy with his chores cleaning the house after he had worked the farm helping out AJ till early in the afternoon. He came back and picked Dinky and Derpy up, walking them to the spa before heading back to Derpy's house to begin cleaning.

Spike sighed moving outside heading over to grab the lawn mower to begin the last of his chores before heading to the market for the food.

"Hello Spike." The dragon turned and smiled seeing Rarity walking up to him.

"Hey Rares, what are you doing today?" He asked as she smiled.

"Well I was coming to talk to Derpy about her wedding dress after she had the foal. What are you doing today Darling?" She asked while her eyes seemed to take in the Romane god of a dragon in front of her.

"Well I'm cleaning the house and taking care of the other chores while I sent the girls out to the spa for a day to themselves. I know Derpy hate just sitting around and she's been a real trooper dealing with it, so I decided to treat them both to the spa for the day while I took care of everything." He said heading to the front with the mare in tow.

"Oh, that's so sweet of you Spike!" She squealed as he chuckled.

"Oh please, I'm sure Thunderlane does just as much for you." He smiled beginning to mow.

"Peg pardon?" He stopped turning to her to see her confused expression.

"You and Thunderlane, you know your stallion? I was just saying that I'm sure he does just as much your that I do for my girls." He shrugged as she looked at him in disbelief.

"You mean you don't know?"

"Know what?"

"Darling, Thunderlane and I separated weeks ago. It was a rather loud and angry break up." She said looking away.

"Oh well I'm sorry to hear that Rares. Nopony told me that, I guess they just didn't think it was my business." He stated as she sighed.

"I suppose so." She said as he shifted nervously.

"I hope I'm not being to nosey Rares, but what did you break up over?" He asked as she sighed crossing her arms under her breasts, noticing the quick subtle look he gave them making her grin on the inside.

"He cheated on me, the rat didn't even show a hint of regret for doing it either." She huffed as Spike nodded.

"I see, again, I'm sorry to hear that Rares. I hope that you find somepony that really cherishes you for who you are, you deserve it." He said pulling her into a hug feeling her return it instantly.

"Thank you Spike, you truly are a gentle drake. I just wish I could find a stallion that is the same way before I get to old." She sighed as he chuckled.

"Rares, no matter how old you get. I'll always seeing how beautiful you are, any stallion that you choose should thank mom and Aunt Luna for being lucky enough for getting a hot fox like you." He winked as her face was doing a good job of imitating a tomato.

"Oooh Spike! You're making me blush!" Rarity said fanning herself as he chuckled pulling away from her.

"Just telling the truth is all. Anyway, I got to get back to work or the market will be closed before I get there." He stated heading back to the lawn mower.

"Why don't I get whatever you need while you're busy here?" She asked as he smiled.

"Thanks for the offer Rarity but I don't want to waste your time, I should be done in a few minutes so it won't take long." He stated as her cheeks puffed out and she growled.

"Spike, really I don't mind. Besides, I'm sure that you have to go and pick up Dinky and Derpy soon as well from the spa correct?" She asked as he smiled.

"They won't be done at least for another hour or so, and I know for a fact that you have a large order from Fancy Pants along with Photo Finish and Sapphire Shores." He stated raising a eyebrow as her eyes got bigger and bigger.

"AH!! You're right, I completely forgot about that. We'll talk later darling, see you around!" She yelled as she flashed away making him laugh and shake his head before finally getting back to the yard.

After Spike was done with the front and back yards along with restocking the fridge and picking up Derpy and Dinky the dragon was really tired from everything he had done today.

"Hey Spike." The dragon looked up to see Dinky looking down at him.

"Hey Dinky, what is it?"

"Rainbow Dash is at the door for you, she said she needed to talk to you about something." She said as he nodded.

"Alright thanks Dinks." He smiled getting a nod from her as she headed up to her room.

As Spike opened the door Rainbow turned to him and smiled flying up to him as he turned and closed the door.

"Hey Dash, what's up?"

"Hey big guy, I was wondering if you wanted to come train with me tomorrow after you get done on the farm. I need a partner to pull off some moves and I know you are a really good flier, not a good as me but still good." She winked as he chuckled.

"Sure, what are your ideas?" He asked leaning up against the house crossing his arms.

"Well I'm trying to gather enough speed to do a double rainboom before following it with a filly flare before taping it off with a super speed trot. It'll be AWESOME!! Oh and Spitfire will be there along with Fleetfoot and Soarin." She said growling at the mention of the stallions name making Spike raise a eyebrow.

"What you and Soarin are split up to?" He asked as she looked at him confused.

"Yeah, you didn't know about it?" She asked as he shook his head.

"No, I just found out today that Rarity is single again. When did this happen?" He asked as she sighed.

"A few weeks ago around the same time Twi and Rares stallions broke it off with them." She said as he nodded.

"Well, I'm sorry to hear that Dash. Hope you find a good stallion for yourself one day." He stated as she rolled her eyes.

"Please, no stallion can keep up with this." She said flying into the air and striking a pose, she noticed that he had a small smirk on his face as his eyes roamed her body making her blush.

"I guess you're right, so what are you going to try mares then?" He asked as she sputtered and coughed blushing harder.

"NO! I'm not into mares you idiot! Besides every stallion that I meet are just jerks, wanting one thing or another." She huffed as he rubbed his chin.

"Well what about Big Mac or some of your stallion friends that you know?" Spike suggested as she hummed for a second.

"I don't know, I'll see about it later. Right now, I'm not in the mood to for any stallions." She said as he nodded.

"Understandable. Is that all you wanted to ask?' He said as she nodded.

"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow Spike." She said taking to the skies as he waved and headed back in only to find Pinkie sitting on the couch with Derpy rubbing her stomach.

"Hey Pinks, what are doing over here?" He asked pulling her into a kiss feeling her grin as she got a good two handfuls of dragon booty.

"Weeeelllll, I came to see you AND! To tell you to stay away from me until the end of next week or we are going to be popping out babies left and right before you even know it." She smiled as he groaned.

"Oh so it your heat week huh? Ok I'll be sure to take you somewhere nice once you are back to normal." He said as she nodded.

"Now I need to go and take my meds and get to bed, I have a early morning. So I'll see you around Spikey!" She called out as she left the house.

"You know I thought the whole reason for the herd is so you can sire kids for the royal bloodline?" Dinky asked from the stairs as she came into the living room.

"Well that's true but, I want them to be themselves when they want a kid. See if me and Vinyl would have done the deed at her parents house then she would have ended up with a kid that she wasn't ready for and didn't even want." He stated as Dinky nodded.

"Gotcha, well I'll be out late tonight. I'm going to see Button Mash and check out his new game." She said grabbing her backpack as Spike and Derpy waved after her.

"OW! Spike! You better hope that this kid comes out easy or you are so dead! Do you hear me!" Derpy roared as he gulped looking at the very scary mare that was rubbing her stomach while trying to burn a hole in his head.

'Oh boy.'
