Twilight held onto Spike after they had eaten and had a heartfelt reunion after Spike told Twilight where he had been all this time. She didn't really care as long as he was here with her and wasn't going to be leaving anytime soon.

Spike sighed holding Twilight in his lap looking down at her straddling his waist and couldn't be happier than at this moment. To his left was Pinkie who had fallen asleep on the couch with them leaning against his shoulder with her own arms around him hugging him tightly.

"Please don't go Spike." Twilight mumbled making frown and pulled her closer to him making her smile in her sleep.

"Thank you Spike." She mumbled nuzzling his broad chest making him blush as she looked up wiping the sleep from her eyes and looked up at his golden eyes smiling and then laying back down on his chest.

"I'm glad your home Spike." She sighed while he smiled.

"Me to. Now Twilight I have to talk to you about some things ok?" He asked getting her to look up at him with her full attention now on him while he sighed and rubbed his the back of his neck.

"So you know about me finding out about my mom and dad right?" He asked getting a nod from her while she adjusted herself with her sitting in his lap with her back to him and pulled one of his arms around her midsection.

"Yes, and I'm happy you finally found out about your past Spike although I'm very surprised that you're royal and will be taking the throne so to speak in a few years from what you told me to lead the dragons into a golden age." She said getting a nod from him.

"Yes what I didn't tell you is that to revive my clan I'll need at least three heirs in as many years in case something were to happen to me." He sighed making her blush but nodded knowing it was true with some royal families so that their line would never die out.

"So what are you going to do till you find yourself a wife?" She asked as he smiled.

"Stay here with you of course, I've been gone for far too long Twilight and I really missed you." He smiled at her getting one in return before the mare hopped off his lap and turned to him.

"So you once you get settled in we're going to have to talk to Princess Celestia along with sort out this whole dragon king thing and to help you find some mares that won't take advantage of you for your status." She stated magiking a scroll over and pen writing a message to the princess and sending it off with her own magic.

"There it's done. So Spike for your first day back what do you want to do?" She asked just as a knock came to the door. Twilight walked over and pulled open the door before jumping back in shock.

"Spike I think it's for you." Her voice trembled a little as she stared at the door as he walked over narrowing his eyes at the three female dragoness' in armor who stood at attention when they saw him.

"My king we are here to fulfill our duty to safeguard the only living heir to the throne." A silver and black dragoness said shouldering her spear along with the others.

He looked at the others to see a blue and white and rainbow dragons behind her with serious looks on their faces.

"Be at rest ladies please I'm here with family so please relax and shed your armor this is a place peace, but be alert." He stated stepping aside letting them in, each one about a head shorter than he was and a head taller than any of the ponies.

"Now tell me your names so I can properly address you." He ordered getting a bow from them.

"My name is Akhekhu your highness leader of the Royal Arms." The silver and black dragoness stated thumping her fist on her chest where her heart was.

"I am Eingana commander of the 2nd Royal Arms division my lord." The blue and white dragon said thumping her fist to her heart.

"My lord I am Kalseru, second in command of the Royal Arms and Akhekhu little sister." She stated thumping her chest bowing.

"Good, now Akhekhu I want you to see what you can do in securing us a proper home along with any of my future wives." He stated getting a nod from her while he turned to Eingana.

"Commander I want you go and prepare a training schedule for me and my wives." He stated getting a nod from her.

"Kalseru, you will be my wives protector and when the time comes my childrens as well. This is a great honor for you soldier, I'm trusting you with the heirs of our future." He stated getting a beaming smile from her as she bowed.

"Thank you my lord!" They all said as he clapped his claws getting their attention.

"Now that is settled please come and join us for a drink with my sister and friend." He said waving his claw to Twilight and Pinkie who was looking over the top of the couch.

"My lord I must decline your offer it is not proper for lowly servants to dine with royalty." Akhekhu stated with a small blush.

"NONSENSE! You are my finest soldiers and you have been cooped up in my families castle for long enough. Now come there is drinking and partying to have!" He laughed as a pink blur latched onto his face.

"PPPPPPPAAAAAAAAARRRRRTTTYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!" She screamed laughing before she shot out the door.

"My lord what was that?" Eingana asked a little put off from the energy the little mare had.

"That is Pinkie Pie and don't try to understand her you will hurt yourself trying understand her." Twilight smiled getting a nod from the three dragons.

"Kalseru, would you mind mixing some drinks for us? I should have bag here with my things in it in just a second." He stated right as the door opened to three moving stallions.

"Ugh Mr. Spike your things are here." Was he was managed to get out before he found three spears to his neck.

"You will address the king by his station peasant!" Kalseru growled snorting fire at him.

"Ladies stand down the poor stallion is just going by what I put on the sheet." Spike calmly stated wrapping his tail around the three and pulling them back while their faces went red.

"I'm sorry about that sir and thank you for all your hard work." He smiled getting a shaky nod from the stallion.

"No problem your highness, just sign here and we'll off load it for you." He said as Spike waved him off.

"Don't worry yourselves, I can get it all in one go." He stated walking past the stallion and grabbing the 7 huge bags at once throwing them over his shoulder like that were nothing and went back inside.

"Eingana, would you please sign the papers for me while I put this away?" He asked her while the three dragoness' and princess fussed over him.

"My lord please let us take that burden from you." Akhekhu fretted while Eingana signed for him.

"Spike come on that has to be heavy let us help you." Twilight said trying to take one of the bags with her magic.

"I'm fine girls really." He stated setting bags down while a few gems spilled out making the three dragoness' stop.

"My lord is this all your food?" Kalseru asked as he smiled.

"Not all of it, most of it is family heirlooms and things I picked up on my travels. Oh by the way here you go Twilight it's a written history of dragons. Wrote it myself from what the old wyrm told me." He smiled watching her eyes sparkle.

"Gimmie gimmie gimmie!" She yelled her hands clenching for the book as he laughed handing it over to her.

"My lord is this wise?" Akhekhu asked as he smiled at her.

" Don't worry she will be keeping that in her own personal collection." He stated getting a nod from the three dragoness' while Twilight giggling with a creepy look on her face.

"Um anyway Kalseru here you go there is some ice in the fridge for the drinks for Twilight and we will be having my own personal brew." He smiled pulling out two bottles and handing them Kalseru.

"Also Akhe, could you and Lana help me with these bags downstair to my old room till we find a house of our own?" He asked getting smiles from them.

"Of course your highness." They said with small smiles on their faces.

"Now be careful girls those bag are really heavy." He warned watching them lift one of his bags straining a little.

"W-We got it my lord." They panted getting a nod from him as he picked up the remaining bags and headed downstairs to the basement.

As he threw his bags down to the old bed he looked back up to see the two girls frozen at the top of the stairs.

"I hope you do not plan to sleep here my lord, this place in not fit for one of your station." Akhe stated while he looked back at the old bed.

"No, I was planning on replacing the bed along with making some room so you three sleep here with me." He stated as they froze.

"Your highness I don't think it is proper for us to sleep with you in your bed." Lana squeaked while he blushed a little.

"That's not what I meant but I am flattered." He said rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh a thousand pardons my lord!!" She cried and bowed knocking the two off balance.

Spike move in a flash racing up the stairs grabbing the bag with his tail while he wrapped his arms around the two before that could take the plunge down the stairs.

"Are you two alright?" He asked while the two guards stuttered feeling his massive arms around them.

"Y-Yes my lord." They blushed feeling the rock hard muscle against them.

'Wow, his highness is ripped.' They both thought pulling back from the warm embrace of Spike.

"Good, now that the bags are down here we'll set a small living area near the fireplace for tonight." He stated unaware of the two guards staring at his body.

"Yes your highness." They said shaking their heads as they began to fantasize about their king.

"My lord! The drinks are ready!" Kalseru called from the kitchen making him smile.

"Very good, thank you Seru!" He called back and headed into the kitchen where the dragoness was.

"Thank you Seru, the others are in the living room setting up some beds till we have a house of our own. Go ahead in there and have some fun I'm gonna head out real quick to get a few friends of mine." He stated getting a nod from her.

"Yes my lord." She stated but was stopped by the large claw on her shoulder.

"Also while we are out in public please don't call me by my station. I don't want to let people know about my station just yet, it'll be a lot easier to find a mate that won't try to seduce me for my title and station." He said getting a serious nod from her.

"Let the others know as well ok? I'll be back soon." He smiled getting a nod from her.

"Be safe my lord, I will have Einglana be with you shortly so she can be by your side." Seru smiled but he shook his head.

"Don't trouble yourselves, I'm safe here in Ponyville. We are here with friends." He stated while she shook her own head.

"I can't allow your highness, it's our job to safeguard you from all threats." She argued as he sighed.

"I understand that, really I do but please I don't need a escort everywhere I go. I have been on my own for 7 years and am able to take care of myself. Now please enjoy yourself here I won't be long." He stated getting a sigh.

"Very well my lord." She bowed heading into the living room while he headed for the door and out into the streets.

He made his way down the road to Derpy's house just as said mare was landing with a tired look on her face.

"Derpy!" He called making her turn and smile at her friend.

"Spike!" She yelled and flew up to him wrapping her arms around his large neck and nuzzling the side of his face.

"Hey beautiful, I came over to ask if you were off work yet or on a break?" He asked smiling at her blush. She couldn't help it with him calling her that all the time even when he was younger looking.

"Um well uh I'm off right now but I have to go and pick up Dinky from school and help her with her homework. But I'll try to make whenever I can." She said landing on the ground looking up at him rubbing her arm. She really wanted to go and spend some time with her best friend but her daughter came first.

"I understand and I'll be sure to save you some shots if you can't make it, family comes first and I respect that." He smiled getting one in return.

"Well beautiful I hope to see you at the party later tonight then." He stated and started to head back to the tree while Derpy looked like she was battling with herself.

"WAIT SPIKE!" She called making him stop and turn to her.

"Um if it's later tonight, could you come back by and pick me up? Dinky should be fine on her own for a while." She said looking down and twiddling her thumbs before she felt him lift her head to look at him making her blush at the charming smile on his face.

"Of course beautiful, I'll be back by seven to pick you up." He smiled while she blushed but smiled back at him.

"Ok well I have to go get changed and pick up Dinky, I'll see you later tonight then?" She asked getting nod from him.

"See you then beautiful." He said heading home while waving over his shoulder never noticing the dragoness watching them.
