Not Ready For That!
Chapter 1: First impressions…
Load Full StoryNext ChapterHello my name is Nick… Nick Adams. I am just you normal 14 year old teen, and this is my story about me falling into Equestrian, literally. Now don’t get me wrong, being in that magical land of, hmm… “Pony’s” was fun and all, but it was extremely hectic. Especially at first! To tell you that fun time you must read on! Now on to my story…
“Well this day could have gone better then… THAT.” I was thinking to myself.
The day was a HOT summer day in the good old Albuquerque. I just got done being pelted by air-soft guns and was headed back to my house. Now, about getting pelted and it being hot that day… I was in full body armor suit for the war, and heaving a full metal M4 around makes you a bit mad and a bit sweaty. OK scratch that, it makes you vary mad and extremely sweaty! I was quickly pulled out of my thoughts when I felt a sharp pain in my back.
“Ha! Got ya, you little NERD!”
“Huh…” Was all that left my mouth.
The owner of this squeaky voice and the reason I just got hit by a AK-47 BB was none other than my older cousin Travis. He was a foot lower than I was and really sounded like he hadn't hit puberty yet.
“Was that really necessary Trav? I mean you could have just called my name out you know. Plus I don’t even have my mask on.”
“You know me man! HA!” Travis had said a little louder than needed.
“Ya, I know you. YOU are the idiot who is going to shoot my eye out with a plastic BB!” I was thinking to myself with a chuckle.
“Ya I know you, and you want to test that damn homemade flash-bang on me don’t you?” I hated his little inventions. His latest? Homemade FLASH BANGS! That’s what… well he showed a test before the war and that wasn't the best. It was more like a frag.
“Oh don’t be a little baby you little NERD!”
I absolutely hated him calling me that. Just because I was good with computers didn't mean I was a “NERD”. So with that, I being the new idiot accepted with a nod to show him. BAD IDEA!
“FRAG OUT!” Those words didn't help the fact that the dud before was an accidental frag.
“CLANK!”
“Oh cra…” Was all I could say in my head before seeing and hearing… well nothing.
Being flashed by a handmade flash bang was BAD! All I could see was whiteness and here a ringing sound that was just terrible. It must have been close enough and powerful enough that it made me go falling backwards. Just… I never felt the floor, only air. Turning around I was shocked to see a lake coming to my face, coming FAST.
“AAAAAAAHHH!” Was the only thing that escaped my mouth. I started to wave my limbs wildly to attempt myself to slow down.
Then it hit me, “Lake=water. Water=non-solid. Non-solid= Life! YES!”
“SPLASH!”
Surfacing with all that extra weight was really challenging. Crawling out of the water exhausted and still shocked about my grand entrance, I realized that I fell into a lake. “Lake, lake, lake… wait what? There was no lake even near Albuquerque!” Now confusion and fear overtook me. “If I’m not in Albuquerque, then where am I now?”
Once again I was pulled out of my thoughts again…this is getting old. Anyway a tall horse was standing over me. The only thing was it was black and purple-ish. Now when I say a black horse is standing over me you think of a wild stallion or something…right?
Well delete that thought. This was much different looking then that. It has a purple mane with, umm…stares? “Ok, not odd at all.” Then I noticed a horn… then wings. “WHAT!? WINGS and a HORN?!?!”
“WHAT IS THEE SITTING BEFORE US?”
“…”
“CAN THEE UNDERSTAND US?”
“…”
“Talking horse… TALKING HORSE!” Now, at this point I did the most logical thing possible.
“What the hell! RUN!!!” OK… maybe not the most logical move, but who can blame me? That was the most weirdest thing I had ever seen! So I ran. Not far.
“WHAM!”
Now standing before me was a white horse like the other behind me. This one on the other hand was just a little different than the dark one. This one was taller and was smiling at me.
“Oh god! Why is it just smiling?"
“Is it dangerous sister?” That voice, it sounded so peaceful yet demanding. That sent a shiver down my spine.
“WE DO NOT KNOW FOR CERTAIN. THY JUST FELL FROM THE SKY”
At this point my brain gave up on logic and blackness took me. All I could think of was those words the white one said, “Is it dangerous sister… Is it dangerous…dangerous…
“Hmm…full armor suit for war, a weapon, and a new species scared half to death. What a perfect first impression.”

I woke up with a throbbing headache and felt pointy sharp thing poking me.
"Oh... ahh my head! Ahhh, what the he-"
"Halt!" A massive voice called behind me. Just so happens to be were the pointy sharp feeling was.
"Hey who do you think you're talking to? Oh!" All I can say is that he looked worried and I wasn't thinking right. I still did the most
logical thing.
"Get u-" The guard was starting a sentence before I interrupted him with logic.
"EAT THIS SUCKER!" I hoisted up my M4 and unloaded a mag to his muzzle. Now this was a air-soft gun so it wasn't fatal but I can tell you at three feet, It hurt like hell.
As he fell screaming in pain, I ran like it was my last day to live. It may be true after hearing the guard on the floor scream out something pretty bad for me.
"GET IT! GET IT! IT TRIED TO KILL ME!"
All around me was alarms going off.
"Never was the good one for first impressions, were you Nick!" That was all going through my head at the time.
**********
I ran down so many hallways that I had gotten lost, well OK you can't really get lost when you didn't know were you were in the beginning. Well at one corner I ran in a opened door and hid in the dark. I heard hooves coming close to the door. I could see a guard ho...er pony? Ya, the guard pony open the door and peek in.
"I am so busted." I thought to myself as I watched the pony from the dark corner. But then he must have given up and closed the door and left. In short, I was shocked that he didn't actually see me. I pondered why he stopped his search so quickly for a few moments when I decided to get moving. I was clear from them so I shouldn't miss the opportunity to get the hell out of here.
As I approached the gigantic doors that seemed like the exit, I started to get worried that I was being fallowed. I quickly knocked the thought out of my head when I realized that I was...at the moment... most wanted, and if I was being fallowed then they would have tried to stop me from escaping by now.
When I was reaching for the door I felt worried about the dark aurora around my hole body and could no longer move. Then I herd them.
"And were are you going at such a late hour... It's past your curfew."
I had finally managed to turn my head around to get a better view of the owner of the voice. I saw the same white horse from before with a mischievous smile across hes face. The other was standing along side the white one with a face of wonder and curiosity. Then I saw the same aurora round her horn that seemed to be the same as the one round me.
"Oh, you know... just to a friends house to hang out. he-he, got no school tomorrow" What did I just say?
"Maybe tomorrow." This time the dark one spoke out, just not as loud which was a relieve. It's just... now she had the same smile as the white one.
Oh man.
