Chapters The continues pattern of fingers on a key board filled the room. Vinyl scratch, AKA DJ Pon-3 is in her office typing up last minuet paper work at 10 o-clock at night. She sighed and looked out the window at the seemingly neon city. It looked amazing as always.
The city was named many things but the most common was New Canterlot. the city had been made by 500 various artist musicians and other cultural people by a founding donation of 1,000,000,000,000 bits. Today it is now the number one hotspot for people trying to learn and work in the field of the three arts.
Vinyl however was the youngest and most successful out of them all. She was a night club DJ at 15 years old. She then became a world sensation at 17. Now that she is 20 she is owner of one of the biggest label records in the world. But somehow she wasn't........complete.
About a year ago after her first marefriend rarity left her she wasn't the same. Rarity had left saying that she was controlling and abusive. Vinyl sighed, 'Okay so every once and a while I would have a drink too much and do something stupid. But big deal it only happened like twice!'
But back on topic ever since that night vinyl had become Diagnosed as bipolar as the doctor had told her. So now at every meal she has to take special pills with her drink. She couldn't even leave her work and home without having someone with her. She groaned once more and looked at her screen.
Yes!, she thought. She was done and could leave to go have some late night fun. She got up and almost tripped over her hooves as she grabbed a coat that said, Alive tour 2007 It was a coat she got at a daft punk concert a few years back.
She swung open her office door and ran down the dark but neon lit hallways of the scratch records building. She got in the empty elevator and pressed the star button which was for the lobby and hummed happily as she waited. As soon as she reached the bottom floor she jumped out into the huge lobby and looked for her friend who was supposed to be her wingman for tonight.
Then she heard a small beat coming from the in building bar and she walked to it slowly. She walked in to see a red and black anthro unicorn with white face paint and a afro rapping to nobody but himself. This was her wingman his name is Tech N9ne. He was a indie rapper and the most famous at that he was a very close friend of vinyl's.
They had known each other since elementary school. Whenever the kids would try and pick on vinyl tech would easily just push them to the ground as he was a huge anthro.
Vinyl patiently waited until he was done and his magic fixed his face and hair and he looked at vinyl and smiled, "Are you ready to go?" Vinyl nodded and they walked outside to have a neon dark blue hover limo waiting for them. As they got in Tech told the driver the destination and they took off to get there.
Vinyl looked at tech and asked, "So where are we going tonight nine?"
"Well the annual city tournament is tonight so I thought I would bring you there to see who's hot in the underground world right now. the two people who are really good though are 1 Octavia melody. and a key's and krates." Vinyl just nodded and grabbed a bottle of champagne which was in the back for them and poured herself a glass.
As they moved through the beautiful city they saw lots of night clubs and lots of people lined up at them. of course this was no surprise as this is what the city is known for but vinyl kept thinking about when would the city fall from it's glory? Hopefully never. It surely wouldn't while she lived that's for sure.
But her thoughts were cut short as the door opened and she was looking at the biggest building in the city. The Theater that was the name of this building. where everyone found they're calling in this city. Vinyl loved this place. She had so many memories of this place most good. others great.
Tech and her walked in together and moved through the crowded lobby and go some seats in the main theater front row. After a few minuets of just chatting and ordering some concessions the lights dimmed and one by one the performers began. The first few people were average nothing special.
As it continued it progressively got better. After a while however it was down to the last two contestants. Octavia melody and Key's and Krates. When vinyl looked at Octavia her jaw almost fell off. She was the most beautiful being she had ever scene her black hair nicely complemented her grey fur. Also on top of that she had excellent curves and a awesome ass.
After a few moments the performance started wit Key's playing a song from his DJ booth called treat me right which got a large amount of the audience jumping and loving it. But then when Octavia began she played her cello in a beautiful tune. As her song progressed she put a lot of emotion and skilled playing to use getting lots of people in the audience to tear up.
Everyone was stunned at the beauty and skill of the cellists music but none more than vinyl herself who never took her eyes off her for one second. Vinyl was entranced and started thinking about what more she could do to that sexy cellist. but had to stop as she got a little wet in her intimate area.
After what was about 7 minutes she finished and the whole contingency of the audience clapped and cheered. Octavia took a bow shook the opponents hand and went back stage as everyone was told to please leave.
As they were leaving vinyl started thinking billions of thoughts about the sexy cellist. But one was more clear to her than the others. She will be mine....no matter what.

Vinyl woke up the next day and let out a long loud yawn. She was in her bed in her bedroom in her 2 bedroom apartment. She popped her neck smiling as this time she remembered to close the blinds before she went to sleep. She slowly gets up and walks to the kitchen only wearing a bra and some panties.
She gets to the kitchen and opens her refrigerator. she looks inside for something to eat and finds some two day old Chinese take out and grabs it. She sets it on the counter and closes the door to the refrigerator and looks in the cupboards and finds a small orange cylinder filled with pills.
She pulls out two and grabs makes a glass of water. she pops the pills into her mouth then drinks the water swallowing the pills as the water rushes down her throat. When she is done she begins eating the Chinese food with a pair of chopsticks. She turns on her T.V. with the remote and when the it turns on the channel that is airing is the Seven o-clock news.
She hears a story about date rape drugs becoming a problem in the city's night clubs. This didn't surprise her. there were a lot of guys and gals that love doing that kind of stuff to unsuspecting people. Thankfully that has never happened to her. She finishes her food a couple of minuets later and sits at the table and opens her laptop.
She searches up on a couple of people she saw at the performance who she is thinking about signing into the label. After about 3 people she searches up the last one she had on her list. Octavia Melody. She smiled and thought, I would really love someone with her skill in my artist line up...and I wouldn't mind looking at that sweet ass of hers everyday.
She starts a search on her and finds her Facebook page. It says that she is single and that she lives in a one room apartment in the ghetto side of New Canterlot. Vinyl smiles a little maybe she could convince Octavia with money to sign with her. Because even with a small salary with her record label she can get a way better place than the run down piece of shit she was living in now.
Vinyl gets up and logs off her laptop. She then puts on a T-Shirt and some sweat pants and put on deodorant before grabbing her phone and walking out the door. As she walks down the stairs she smiles at how beautiful it is today. She walks out into the parking lot and uses her keys to unlock her car.
A blue and white Bugatti honks as it is unlocked. Vinyl then walks to the driver side door and gets in enjoying the feel of the leather that her seats are made out of. This leather was made in Italy and feels like heaven oh the joys of being wealthy she thought. She then put the keys in the ignition and her car awoke with a nice purr from the engine.
Vinyl pulls out of the parking lot and takes off into the highway. After a thirty minuet drive and a quick stop at a McDonalds she arrived at Octavia's apartment complex and checked her face and applied a little bit of make-up before she went in.

Celebrate
Octavia loved the roar of applause as she bowed to the audience. She had just finished what was probably the biggest performance of her life so far and everyone had loved it. But she had received an invite from her friends this morning to celebrate with her tonight at a club near hear so she wanted to leave as soon as possible.
So she got up shook her opponents hand and rushed backstage. As soon as she was their she placed her cello in its case and left out the back door. It took her a while to reach the club as she had to drop her cello of at home and she didn't have a car but she got there.
She got out and walks to the bouncer at the front door says her name and he allows her in. She walks around having to get used to the flashing lights and fog but eventually she finds the three people she was looking for. As soon as she comes into view a mint green mare stands up and wraps her arms around Octavia as she says, "Hi Octavia! how was the competition!?"
Octavia chuckled and hugged back and replied with, "It was great! I won as well!" Soon everyone at the booth which consisted of Bon-bon, Lyra, and a particular mare named fluttershy all started congratulating her accomplishment. After they all calmed down and sat Lyra spoke up, "so tell me since you've won are you going to work at scratch records?"
"I would love to but I'm not sure there is anyone there who would recommend me." Lyra simply laughed and called out, "Babe come over here!" After about a couple moments a red and black anthro walked up. it was none other than Tech N9ne. Of course with him were Krizz calico, and Ces cru. Ces cru was a albino anthro with yellow hair and Krizz calico was a green anthro with purple hair. Tech kissed Lyra deeply and held her in his arms, "Need something babe~?"
Lyra smiled and pointed to Octavia, "Is she the one vinyl was checking out?" Tech looked at Octavia and smiled, "Yes she is. You are Octavia correct?"
Octavia perked up and nodded quickly, "Yes I am her!"
"Just so you know my boss vinyl scratch owner of scratch records has a great deal of interest in you. You can be expecting a visit from her soon. But for now celebrate you're victory me and my friends here will perform for all of you guys. And you can all relax." Lyra smiles nuzzles him and Tech along with the two other rappers walk on stage and the music begins to play and the light dims.

Vinyl walked up to the door of Octavia's apartment. She saw that the door looked like it could break down at any moment and that one of the windows had tape over it because there was a hole in the glass. She sighed and shook her head from side to side as she put on a smile and knocked on the door.
She heard groaning and a very classy voice saying, "hold on I'm coming!" After a couple of minuets the door shook then opened to revile a half lidded and extremely disheveled Octavia standing there. When her eyes opened fully however Octavia saw who it was and practically jumped.
"M-Ms. V-Vinyl Scratch! W-w-what are you doing here this morning?" Vinyl smirked and walked into the apartment, "Calm down Ms. Octavia. I just came here to talk about you getting a job with my record label." She looks around some more, "Also a new home." She looks around the apartment and sees a part in the roof where it leaks water. Then she stares at Octavia who is blushing at the embarrassment as her crummy apartment is inspected.
Vinyl lifts her glasses showing her ruby red eyes then speaks, "Seriously. no matter what happens today you are not living here anymore. In fact I really don't want to stay in here much longer so lets get in my car lets go get some fast food. Then we can discuss my offer on the way back. Sound good babe?"
Octavia blushes even more and nods as she hurries to her room and spends the next fifteen minutes putting on a simple white button up shirt and a pair of slacks. She also does her hair then walks back into the living room where vinyl is listening to music on her phone, "E-excuse me Ms. Scratch? I'm ready to go."
Vinyl looked up from her phone and over to Octavia. She smiled and got up from her seat turning her music off and she walked over to Octavia doing a small walk around her. "You look nice. Simple yet elegant. It fits you. Now come, After we pick up some food im bringing you to my office to discuss about employing you. Sound good?"
Octavia smiled wide and nodded her head fast. "Yes ma'am!" Vinyl simply smiled and chuckled, "Good. Now lets go." She leads her out of the apartment and down the stairs to the parking lot. She walks her to the Bugatti out in the front and unlocks the passenger door for her opening it ushering Octavia in.
Octavia smiled at vinyl and climbed in. As soon as she sat down she had to restrain from moaning as this was probably to most comfortable thing she has ever sat on. She even squirmed around a little as the door closes, She just had to enjoy the high-priced leather. But this ended in a couple of moments as she got to being lady like just before vinyl rolled over her hood and opened the drivers side door getting in.
"Ready to listen to some kick ass tunes Octavia!?" She laughed playfully as before she could even answer she crancked up the stereo connected to her phone as it played one of her favorite songs and they sped out of the parking lot and onto the road.

Beyond the sea
Octavia woke up and yawned. she looked at the clock. It was one o-clock! She quickly got up and started changing for tonight was the night of the competition. She began taking a shower but took her time as she enjoyed the felling of hot water over her body. She rarely got this privilege and she was going to make the most out of it.No more sailing So long sailing Bye, bye sailing...
