Queen Chryssi's Totally Proffesional and Inspirational Advice Column
Prologue-Changelings Are Boring
Load Full StoryNext ChapterQueen Chrysalis is bored.
Like, majorly bored.
It happened a while ago, right after their Canterlot attack went awry. Chrysalis was angry, to say the least, about the silliness that it took to destroy her. Two measly ponies defeated a queen with the power of love? That would not look good on her resume.
Surprisingly enough, the idiot changeling drones didn't take the opportunity to defeat Chrysalis and bring on a new ruler, and Chrysalis was back to ruling the same old dumbbells... Each. And every. Day.
At first it was okay, just like normal. But before the failed attack, Chrysalis had something to do, like make plans and doodle. But now after Plan A failed, and Plan B had a small chance of even being done, she had nothing. All she did, each and every day, was sit on her throne and listen to the changeling drones complain about everything.
And eventually, Chrysalis just... snapped. She was bored. Bored of her life, and bored of her entire existence.
So one day, after a particularly boring session with the drones, she sat down on her bed, took out a quill and some parchment, and started to write a letter to Princess-Motherbucking-Celestia, something she swore never to do.
Dear Princess-Motherbucking-Celestia, it read.
I am writing to you because I hate my life. Not because of you, I might add. Remember? I defeated you.
Today I finally admitted something to myself, something that shocks even me. And that is that changelings are boring.
Really boring. I have nothing to do but sit around and listen to these idiots' problems. Like what? I didn't sign up for this chit!
Anyway, I guess I'd just like to ask for your advice. What should I do that could make me less bored out of my mind? Is there anything I could do to help with this problem?
With cautious curiosity,
Queen Chrysalis
Content with her letter, but sad for her life, Chrysalis sent it, only to be acknowledged only a day after.
Dear Queen-Motherbucking-Chrysalis,
It surprises me that you would write to me about anything, really. But I must say I know how you feel like. I have to sit around 24/7 too and listen to my subjects' problems. Nowadays I just dump it on Luna. It's really working out.
But I do have a suggestion for you. You wrote to me asking for advice, why not let others write to you? You could open an advice column and help ponies with your own wisdom.
Sincerely,
Princess Celestia
After careful consideration, Chrysalis shrugged and said, "Oh, what the buck."
And that was when Queen Chryssi's Totally Professional and Inspirational Advice Column opened for business.
