Quite a Surprise

Twilight was right now holding off thirty to forty Diamond Dogs, and there was alot more heading her way. She blasted the group with a concentrated beam of magic, wiping them from existence, she was tired of these dogs and left no mercy to the hoard trying to get to Ponyville.

"Ugh, why do this Celestia forsaken dogs have to attack now."  Twilight mumbled so the Mane Six, who were close by, didn't hear her.

Ten, ten blank stares. All of them directed at a lavender alicorn, who's was pawing at the ground with a hoof.

"Wha..." was all Dusk Shine could get out of his head.

What does she mean by 'embodiment of Magic', I'm the element of Magic. He thought Yet here this mare shows up and she says that she is the *Embodiment** of Magic, this mare has got to be insane.*

"Um, I think you are mistaken, my student, Dusk Shine, is the Element of Magic." Solaris said wearily.

"I didn't say anything about the Elements of Harmony, Prince Solaris, I said I was the Embodiment of Magic." Princess Twilight responded casually.

"But what does thou mean by 'Embodiment of Magic'?" Prince Artemis asked.

"Yeah, I'd like to know as well." Dusk agreed with the prince.

"You name it, I've mastered it." Twilight said.

"How about raising the moon." Dusk challenged.

Princess Twilight looked into the horizon, towards where the moon would rise. Then her horn glowed and a beam of light shot towards the sun, the sun was lowering in sink with Twilights horn. As the sun was being lowered, a second beam shot out towards the horizon, in seconds the moon appeared. Rising to where the sun once was, as the last glimpses of sun disappeared behind the horizon.

Dead silence was the only way to describe the atmosphere. All twelve ponies, even Berry Bubble, was staring in awe, horror, confusion, and intrigued looks. But it was interrupted by a howl, a very distinctive howl.

Diamond Dogs, thousands of them. Running top speed at Ponyville. Before anyone could react, the Princess of Friendship flew over to the edge of Ponyville, while putting up her brothers' signature shield around the town. She landed just outside the shield facing the horde of greedy mutts.

"TURN BACK OR FACE YOUR DEATH." Twilight warned the horde in the Royal Canterlot Voice, she would never kill something without giving a warning first.

The horde was slowed by the intensity of The Voice, but otherwise ignored the warning.

Twilight shot a concentrated beam magic at the oncoming horde, atomized hundreds in seconds. The dogs took the hint that she was not to be messed with, but did not retreat, instead they went into tactical advance on her. Only to be shot down by multiple beams of highly concentrated magic, leaving nothing in its path. The dogs were still advancing, but much slower than before.

Twilight noticed a dog charging her at top speed. A simple blast of magic ended that dog and ten others. She barely managed to move out of the way of another dogs way as it was charging her, and just before she blasted the dog, a pair of orange hooves collided with the side of its head sending flying.

Twilight looked at Applejack with a shocked expression. Then she saw the rest of the group, and the closing hole in the force field she put up, behind was two exhausted princes.

"We knew you were powerful, but exhausting two princes is insane." Dusk Shine told Twilight.

"You guys don't have to, and duck." Twilight warned Dusk as a dog swung its club a his head.

Dusk ducked, then saw a beam of attack magic. He looked back to where the Diamond Dog once was, only to find absolutely nothing. "How..." he asked.

"Materializer Spell reversed." Twilight answered flatly.

"Why?" Dusk asked again as he and Twilight blasted several Diamond Dogs out of the way.

"Because if I didn't, then they would not stop until this town is a complete ghost town, and all the former inhabitants their slaves." Twilight answered coldly, banishing the memory of what happened the crusaders when they were captured.

"Oh..." Dusk said slowly "But how does killing them stop that, wouldn't that just make the town a target to other Diamond Dog tribes?"

"This is the Kluster Tribe, the strongest tribe out of all the Diamond Dog tribes.

"What difference does that make?" Dusk asked as he shot another beam into the horde of Diamond Dogs.

"If they fall the rest shall follow, therefore those who don't want to fall don't follow." Twilight informed wisely.

"Hahaha, so your the ones that are murdering all my minions." said a deep voice from the horde as it separated to see a fat Diamond Dog adorned in several jewel necklaces.

"Zuki." Twilight said venomously.

"Oh do I know you." Zuki said in confusion.

"Most likely not." Twilight said coldly, still remembering the alpha dog Zuki, the bitch that scarred the Cutie Mark Crusaders the point that she had to erase their memory to get them out of comatose.

"Well anyway, do you know what I'm wearing, hmm." Zuki said as he admired his jewels.

"Anti-magic gems that don't actually work." Twilight said in a monotone.

"Oh no these work, had them tested." Zuki said with humor evident in his voice "Now you can surrender or-"

Zuki was blasted by Twilight, turning him into absolutely nothing. "Not even a tenth of my power and you lose." She said coldly as she stared at the last gem before she crushed it underneath her hoof.

"That... was... AWSOME!" Rainbow Blitz shouted at the top of his lungs, comically shoving back the trees around.

"Well if yawl done with that, it's time we get a move on with the rest of the pack." Applejack said while looking over at the remains of the tribe.

The tribe looked at each other then back to the remains of their leader. They all nodded before running as fast as they could to the forest.

"Yeehaw , now that is what I call a beat down." Applejack hollered brohoofing Rainbow.

"Yeah, but I wish the princess didn't um, kill them." Butter Scotch said timidly.

"Oh come on, Butter Scotch." Rainbow Blitz hovered over to him. "If she didn't then they would come back with even larger numbers."

"Oh, I know, but still." He said as he hid behind his mane.

"Its okay sir, but if I hadn't then what would you have me do?" Twilight asked Butter Scotch in a friendly tone as she turned around to look at him.

"I don't know... maybe um knock them out." Butter Scotch offered.

"Then what, throw them in the forest to be eaten by some wild animal, that doesn't sound very good." Twilight smiled at Butter Scotch, who blushed and hid behind his mane.

"Ohhh, Butter Scotch I know what will make you feel better." Berry suddenly materialized next to the shy Pegasus, causing him to squeak and jump away from the bubbly stallion.

"Oh you do, what?" Scotch asked after calming himself.

"A PARTY!" Berry screamed.

"Why not." Twilight said as she lowered the shield and walked into Ponyville, only to once again have a failed attempt of being pinned by four gaurds, they were just hauled off by the mare who on her half didn't even know they were their.

"Yippee!" Berry yelled as he jumped into the air.

Then the group walked off with the princes and the four guards that were committed to bringing to bring the mare down themselves.
