The Nightmares of a Hero

As the Mane Six made their way back to the Tree house, they noticed one thing. The guards out side wore blue armor, had bat-like wings, predatory eyes, and fangs. Artemis was in the Golden Oaks Library, aka Dusk Shines home. Dusk Shine led the group to the entrance, the guards didn't even bat an eyelash at them as they passed. Dusk went upstairs to where he thought the mystery alicorn would be, only to find Prince Artemis being strangled from the tight grasp of the for mentioned alicorn.

"Prince Artemis!" they all yelled as they tried their hardest to pull the Prince out of reach of the sleeping mare.

When they finally did, Artemis was struggling to breath. And then the guards showed up. "Prince are you alright." one of them said as they ran over to the fallen prince.

"Yes, yes, just don't get to close to her." was all he got out before going into a coughing fit "She's having a-"

Prince Artemis was cut off buy his guard screaming as she was pulled into a hug by the lavender alicorn. The guard was turned in a teddy bear for the alicorn, and if if the Prince of the Night didn't teleport him away from Lavender ball of snugly death, her insides wouldn't have stood a chance.

"Wow, that mare is in a serious of hugs." Rainbow Blitz snickered at the alicorn flop ungracefully around trying to grab whatever could withstand her grip.

"As I was saying, she's having a nightmare, and a pretty bad one at that." Prince Artemis told the other ponies in the room.

"Then why don't you just go and see what it's about." Dusk Shine asked.

"That was what I was trying to do, until she started the Cuddle War." Prince Artemis muttered.

"Oh, I can help!" Berry said as he hopped over to the lavender alicorn.

He was grabbed and squeezed like a great bug teddy bear, Berry hugged back with all his strength. Berry would never admit this to the others, but he never wanted to let go of the mare, her fur felt that good. Hey you said that you'd keep that a secret, you Berry Swore. Hey it's okay Berry, I feel the same way, and he didn't tell your friends did he? No. See everything's alright, oh we better get back to the story, say hi to Twilight for me. Bye Pinkie, I would but then that would cause to many questions.

"Well that's taken care of, now let's find out what the dream is." Artemis said a little dumbfounded at the pink stallion's action.

He walked over lowered his horn and open the dream to everyone except the dreamer, which means; two guards, the Mane Six, and Prince Artemis. What they found was not what they expected, nor would they ever want to. They saw Equestria, looking like a war had gone horribly wrong.

Then they saw the Alicorn fighting what Prince Artemis recognized as a male version of Teri. They were fighting and it did not look good, for either half. The alicorn was covered in small cuts and bruises, as for 'Teri', he was covered burn marks and cuts.

"Give me your magic Princess, and I'll let your friends go." the demon offered to the Princess.

"I've told you once and I'll tell you again, Terik." the lavender princess said "You already betrayed Discord, why should I even let you try to tempt me."

"Because Princess, you would perish with your friends." Terik said before shooting a beam of light at the Princess.

She countered it, immediately over powering it and pushing it back at a alarming rate. Then Terik cut off the connection and ignited the beam causing a huge explosion as everyone was sent flying back. The dream ended their, with everyone but Berry and Artemis confused.

"What was that about." Dusk said until  he noticed the mare starting to stir. "She waking up."

Everyone tensed as the Alicorn opened her eyes. To wall of pink, a bright pink that was a shade or to darker than Pinkie. She reacted how any normal, rational, sentient being would do. She screamed and jumped as far way from the pink fur as possible, ending up on Dusk's balcony surrounded by broken glass.

"Wait, no need to run miss." Dusk said before teleporting over to the frightened mare.

"You know as well as I do that there is always a reason to run." Twilight stated flatly.

"How do you know that." Dusk asked, only to be blasted by a gust of wind as the alicorn took off at speeds that not even Rainbow Blitz could match, he tried.

Twilight flew as fast as she could to get away from them but only to look back and see the Prince of the Day right behind her, panting and trying to keep up with the Princess. What when did he get here.

Solaris had just arrived at the Golden Oaks Library only to see a streak of dark purple with a pink line zoom off at high speeds. Solaris took  no time in putting two and two together, they must have startled her. He took off at speeds that no one should be able to manage without the wingspan like his, but this mare was still faster than him.

He had not done this in centuries , so not only was he quickly losing stamina, he was enjoying himself. He had forgotten the joy of flight, and the thrill of the chase. He tired to get closer to her and talk this out but the mare was just that fast, he could hardly keep up with her at these speeds.

"Slow down, miss." Solaris tried to negotiate with the alicorn "We only want to talk, and I promise you nothing bad is going to happen."

"Please, I just wanna be left alone, I don't want anypony hurt because of me." the alicorn tried to shake Solaris off her tail.

"Then lets talk this out and we'll ind a way that you won't hurt anypony, I promise that nothing bad can come of this." Solaris tried to reassure the lavender alicorn.

"You promise." the lavender alicorn looked back with an expression that tore Solaris's heart to pieces seeing.

"I promise, now slow down we can fly back to the library, and talk okay." Solaris said

Instead the alicorn looked around for a moment before going into a swan dive towards the ground,Solaris in suite. Solaris was trying to stop what she was doing, not noticing that the speeds they were going took them around the world three to four times and that they were over Ponyville.

The the alicorn slowed to a stop and Solaris flopped onto the ground at the sudden stop.

"Solar!" Artemis yelled as he went to aid his brother.

"Hey Arty." Solaris said as his brother helped him onto his hooves.

Before Twilight could do anything. Ten ponies tried tackling her, failing miserably thou.

"Who are you." Dusk said before the princess he, his firends, and four royal guards were shook off from the princess shaking herself like a dog.

"Well, I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle, Embodiment of the Element of Magic, Princess of Friendship." Twilight said on a Flutter Shy level.

All that were present heard it still, and gave their share of blank stares.
