What Am I Doing?

Three months later I went to the changeling castle in search of an unanswered question.

" Mother, I know it is dangerously stupid but..."

" No, Saderine! It's suicidal and I would know. I've done it!" My mother said, interrupting me. " I don't want you getting hurt. Or to upset the Princesses at this moment. Thats my job as queen to decide what interactions we have with ponies and I have already stretched my limits letting you go off into Equestria on your own and getting very close with a certain colt! No." She yelled at me. I knew what I was doing.

"Mom" Was all I could say before she launched out of her throne and flew to the ground.

" Saderine, no. Trust me on this, it will be better to just let them die out first. and--"

" He is an Alicorn, Mother!!!" I yelled in her face. " Alicorn!" I turned around and sat on my haunches so she wouldn't see my tears. It was true.. I had fallen in love with an Alicorn...

I had been living in Ponyville for a month and I had gotten my first gig at the Ponyville Day Fair. I sung a few songs and got my pay. I was just about to leave when I was tapped on the shoulder by a mystery pony.

" Hey." A colt's voice said. I turned around to see a light brown colt with dark brown and pink hair. He had a horn and...wings?? I looked around. Nopony seemed to be looking at him like he was special. Maybe Alicorns were more popular in this age of Equestria. After all, I am almost as old as Princess Luna. and still in my teens too.

"Hi?" I said, looking into his eyes. His eyes matched the pink in his hair. He chuckled.

" Yeah I know. And no. I am not a ruler of anything.I am Symphonic Blitz and those guys over there." He said pointing to a group of ponies laughing and talking. " Are my friends. We have seen you around but, Melody takes it her responsibility to know every pony in town and when we saw you here. I bet I could get to you before she could so, here you are!" I blushed and smiled.

"Im Shimmer Shine and whats up with the blue unicorn with the frosting all over her face?" I said, asking about the pony in the middle of the group who was laughing with frosting all over her face. Another mare in the group came out of the back with a napkin. A unicorn with... " She is an Alicorn too?!" I said, gapping at her outstretched wings.

" Yeah. Thats Lily, my big sister." He said casually, like being an Alicorn was as normal as being an earth pony or a pegasus. " Here, I will introduce you."   He said, starting to walk over to the group. I followed him, keeping my distance.

" Hey Meeeel???" He said as the Blue Unicorn looked over and furrowed her brows.

" Darn it, Blitz! I should've know you would sneak off to find her when I wasn't looking." I walked up to the rest of the group and stood by Symphonic Blitz. Even though I didn't know  him well, I still knew him more than any of these ponies so, he was the best choice to stick with. " So... Whats your name?" She asked me.

"My name's Shimmer Shine." I said confidently. Blitz stepped up.

"This is Blue,Skatespark,Cinnamon,Triple Track, and you have met Melody Lily and myself!" The group was small but, welcoming. They all nodded towards the popcorn stand. As they walked I stood kind of wondering what to do. Blitz looked back at me and laughed. He trotted backwards and put his wing around me, making me blush. " Common, I'll get you some popcorn."

" We-Wwe spent the rest of the night riding rides and laughing and talking." I told my mother. " We went out even without the rest of the group on many occasions."

She wrapped me in a hug from where we were sitting. As I told her my story, I must have gone through about thirty tissues that were now strewn about the floor around us. I looked at the clock on the wall in my mothers throne room and jumped up.

" It's three o'clock!!" I yelled " I have to meet Blitz at three thirty!!!" I opened a portal and changed my appearance. My mother put her head through the portal that led to my living room.

" Nice place, Saderine. Come back soon. Im just a portal away." She said hugging me again. I walked through the portal and closed it up. I ran to the bathroom and made sure I had no Saderine left on my face. Cant have that happen again!

Before I knew it I heard a knock at the door.

"Hey Shimmerz!" I heard his voice yell.

" Coming!!" I yelled with a smile. I fast-trotted to the door. When I opened it, my smile got wider. " Hey, Blitz"

" Hey. So, you ready?" He asked. I looked at him confused.

" For what?"

" To meet my Aunt Celestia and Luna" He said My jaw dropped and I stuttered.

" Aunt?" I asked. He stared at me as if I was supposed to know he was related to the princesses of Equestria.

" Yeah. When my parents went to Sadlearabia on a mission for Celestia, they put her in charge of checking up on us very two months. Since she is visiting Princess Twilight in the new harmony castle, she decided to visit." My jaw was still low as I stared at him. I cleared my throat.

" Why do you want me to meet your Aunts?" I asked him. He smiled down at me.

" Well I would assume my Aunts, the rulers of Equestria, would at least want to know their nephews mare friend,Shimmerz" I blushed and looked down at my hooves.

You don't know how hard you are making this for me, Blitz.

" Mare friend?" I asked him. He chuckled and put his wing around me. As we walked into town, I was nervous, happy and on the verge of breaking down and losing my mind at the same time. I needed to get back to my mom.
