What Am I Doing?

When we reached the town square we were greeted by Skatespark.

" Blitz, you didn't!" She said passing by us on her blue skateboard. I blushed. Out of nowhere, I felt a sudden head rush and fell. My legs wobbled but, I played it off like it was a rock that tripped me. Something was wrong. Magicaly wrong.

The Princesses met us at two gates. As we walked through I smiled at the princesses.

"Hello nephew and I assume this is the mare you've been writing to me about?" The sun Princess asked Blitz. He blushed and went to hug his Aunt. I felt another rush in my head. I stumbled and sat on my haunches. Princess Luna came up beside me and helped me up.

" Ms. Shimmer Shine? Art thou alright?" She asked me. Her eyes are as dark as the midnight sky in mine and I find out whats going on. There is a magical barrier around time square. Anything that is foreign and shows harm to the Princesses, will be exposed. The barrier is trying to cast a spell on my  to make me look like. ME again.

" Oh yes." I said quickly " Just tripped on a rock. He he" She stared at me and closed her eyes. My head started to hurt as I heard a voice. A voice with no body.

State thy purpose here, Changeling. Princess Luna's voice said.

" Princess Luna please.. I mean no harm to any pony" I told the moon princess.

State thy purpose! She yelled

"I am here in Equestria seeking out what my mother calls evil. I am seeking out friendship and freedom. Something I cannot get  from in the walls of my mother's kingdom of hate an confinement. I assure you, no harm is to come to any pony except me if I do not leave soon!" With that, the spell was broken and Luna rushed me out of the gates. My headache relieved itself and I sighed.

"I hope you realize We must share our findings with our sister, Shimmer Shine." She said sternly  "On the other hoof, thy secret is safe with us." I smiled and bowed to her. She came up close and smiled "You are the most polite changeling we have ever met. Good luck" She whispered.

" Hey Shimmerz!" Lily yelled from inside the courtyard. "Come in, have tea with us!" She was sitting at a table with Blitz, Princess Celestia and herself. Princess Luna nodded to me and whispered something in her sister's ear.

" Umm, I think I left my hamster  out!! I will be back!" I yelled, lying through my teeth. I took  to the skies and flew as fast as I could to the petstore, bought a small hamster and it's cage and bolted home. After setting the hamster in it's place, I looked up and saw the two Princesses sitting in my room. "Ahh!!" I yelled

"We are sorry to disturb you, Shimmer Shine but, you being here is a matter of conversation," Princess Celestia said, her mane flowing in front of the window, making it shine. Luna smiled at me and looked at her sister.

" We are aware of you and your resent moving here and---" Luna said before Celestia put a hoof up to silence her.

" You must show your appearance and show you are no harm to the citizens of this country before your location is decided." I nodded and stepped back. I concentrated once again on Saderine and was transformed. My short pink mane shook in my face and i stretched my warm wings. Celestia studied me carefully and did some test. Jaw and horn mainly.

"My mother always wanted me to be the queen to take over this country. That is why I left Chrysatopia and came here to Equestria. It is beautiful and free here. I only seek out what my current place couldn't provide." I told them as I poured them some tea. They nodded in agreement.

"You realize what your mother did with your father will need to be repeated, yes?" Princess Celestia asked me. "My nephew will be hurt both ways.. So will the rest of your friends." I starred at my tea.

" Yes, Princess. I am aware of the situation.. I have not decided how yet."

" We are very aware of your struggle, Saderine." Luna said to me, levitating a tissue to my hoof. " Although, we can not take any risk of you being uncovered or exposed unto the public" She said, sternly. I nodded in agreement. I thought of how my mother had said the same thing and smiled. Celestia looked at me with confusion.

"Is something funny?" She asked. I contained my giggles and cleared my throat. As I opened my mouth to speak, a knock was heard from the door.

" Shimmer Shine!?" Lily's voice said. I panicked and looked at the Princesses. To my surprise they were not there anymore. "Shimmer Shine!!!???" What are you doing!?" She yelled once more. I hurried to the door and opened it with a fake smile. My smile dropped when I saw all of our friends were there with her. All of them had worried eyes.

" Why did you leave like that?" Melody asked.

" I was--"

" Yeah, that was totally not cool. " Cinnamon said.

" Guys if you would just--"

" You bolted out of there faster than The Doctor did after the Time War!!" Skatespark said fan girlishly. Everypony stopped and looked at her for a moment before going back to me.

" Well, why did you leave?" Blitz asked me. I felt bad because it was like our first date and I ditched him.

" I...Um....." Think. Think!! Then it hit me harder than when Sherlock hit the ground in The Fall of Raighenbach. " I got a letter from my mother! She is coming to Ponyville to see how I am doing. She will be here tomorrow and I needed to get home. Sorry if I worried you." I said quickly. They all blinked and looked at each other.

"Okie dokie then?" Melody said, confused. " Can we do anything to help?" She asked

" NO!" I said loudly, making them all jump. " I mean no, thanks for the offer but, I want you to meet her not all to fast so, I will get her by myself."

"Saderine!? You must be crazier than the element of laughter if you think I am coming to Equestria and meeting your friends on such a short notice!!" She yelled.

" Please mom, it's really important and you were always complaining about how you haven't used your Chrysanote disguise before I left.." I told her, reminding her about her pony-self. She thought for a moment and sighed.

" Fine, I suppose a few days there wouldn't hurt. But, who will watch the city?!" She asks, raising an eyebrow.

" You can check up on them every night! Its not like a whole city can cause mass destruction in a couple hours!!" I sighed, annoyed at my mother's pointless paranoia. " It will be fine." She reluctantly agreed and went off to pack her bags.

When she returned she wasn't her changeling self anymore. Her disguise was a pegasus mare with a purple coat. She had the same hairstyle as me but, it was way longer and more flat. Her cutie mark represented my mother's love for playing the trumpet, thus her name. Chrysanote would be what is my mother for the next four days and me? Well, I couldn't be more terrified.
