Welcome to 3rd street

Previous Chapter

Ten years later

Sitting. That was all he ever did. During day all he would do is sit at his desk, and when lunch came around he would eat there. When he wasn't sitting and moaning all day he would play a game of hoof ball with his friends. He was good at that and it was one of the few things that made him happy. The very first was being locked up. Though as the years past he felt that he needed more "fresh" air. At times he would stare out his window and wonder when this will all be over. He dreamed going out and playing hoof ball for the big league and making friends again. He dreamed of being with his family again and seeing the grave of the little brother that should've been here. He dreamed of life.

Sitting and hoof ball wasn't his only passion though. He grew fond of walking miless around the courtyard. During day they where aloud to walk around the detention center, but only if they didn't try to escape. It would be useless to do that. If a pegasus where to go out side, they would put these strange wing cuffs on their back that inhabited their ability to fly. They where on the other hoof aloud to participate in activities outside the area. He tried to join the local hoofball team but they wouldn't take him because they players refused to work with a "murderer." Rocker hated that word. He wished Celestia would tie that word to a gigantic rock and just roll it down a cliff into firey boiling lava.

Though to be a killer of another pony here, he wasn't the only one. Two others turned into phsycopaths and ended up in an institution. He didn't know them well but at times he would converges with them even though there was nothing to be said. There is never anything to say. All there is is"Let me out of here!" Or "When am I coming out?" Hey would even sometimes converse to why they are in here. Some where caught dealing drugs. Some where caught doing drugs. Some where caught drinking beer. And at times if their girl finally said yes, they would be caught sticking it in the hole.

Rocker continued thinking on until he heard a knock at his door. The door opened and in stepped in Ms.Sunshine the wordan. She gazed at him with a smile and spoke,"Your parents are waiting for you outside the gates. Pack your stuff and when your ready to leave than talk to me so I can escort you out." She left the room and left the door open behind her. Rocker excitedly got up from is chair and immeditally started packing. He wish he could stay but he wants to go home. It has been so long since he has been in his own bed.

Ms.Sunshine as usual with that bright smile of hers escorted him out the gates and too his parents. His dad was a brown stallion with gray hairs, and his mother was a white mare with a blonde mane. Both where smiling. He immeditally ran up to them and gave them a big hug. The only thing the kept Rocker from losing sanity was remembering them. He loved them.

The day went straight to fun right when they left. They went to an amusement park and stayed there for a whole day. They let Rocker wallk around by himself to have some self time for once . Before he left they gave him a bag of bits for the games. Rides where free with count of wearing a bracelet. He walked up to a basketball stand to where a line was it was only about three ponies now stood four as he entered. Just as he stepped a pony cut in front of him pushing him away."Hey I was in line." Said Rocker to the earth pony. The pony turned around to reveal a mare Rocker seemed to find beautiful. He looked a second time and realized who it was,"Daisy Dust!" She widened her mad expression to a suprised happy look,"Rocker!" She said with ethusiasiam,"I haven't seen you since the police came and backed us off from the school. How has it been?" Rocker smiled at seeing a face of an old friend.

"I've been good. Just got out of rehab today. Plan on making a new life." She just continued smiling which he found adorable but kept it tucked in. "We... we should hang out some time. You know talk to each other, see what has been going on." She nodded at his statement and replied,"Alright well see ya wish you luck on freedom." She waved him goodbye as Rocker left from sight he waved back before disappearing into crowds of ponies. He felt something being near her but couldn't put a good hoof on it.

A loud growl came from his from his stomach. It was time to eat. He walked over to a food stand where they where selling cotton

Candy and carmile apples. He bought a carmile apple and took one bite than devoured it whole. He savoured the taste for he hasn't taste anything that great for years. Most of the time it was just beans and corn bread. Though on birthdays those who where invited to attend the parties where aloud cake.

221 3rd street avenue. This is where he was going to live. Rocker ran up to the door steps of his new home as his dad unlocked the door,"Come with me." He said. Rocker followed his orders and went with him. They walked up to a door in a narrow hallway and opened it. Rocker gasped at what he saw. His own room. He had  bed, and a desk. A few photos where hanging on the wall, most of his family. His dad smiled and gave his son an introduction."Hope you like it. Me and your uncle took months just to work on it.  Well, you got your own bathroom so you have alot of privacy when you toake a shower. You will be getting an allowance of three bits a week. If you help with chores it's doubled. You will pretty much be by yourself most of the day since me and your mom both just got jobs to help provide for you. Tomorrow we will have a cook out in the front yard and you can go see the neighbors. Oh and before I forget, I managed to get you into the highschool football team. You start school next week counting the fact that it is spring break." Rocker jumped up at the sound of what his father just said."Your not much of a talker," his father continued,"Well hope you like it here. And welcome to 3rd street..."
