It has been 1,000 years since King Sombra's defeat. Many have forgotten about him, until one day, when he has returned and is wanting a second chance to take over the Empire, and soon all of Equestria. He plans to capture all 4 princesses of Equestria, making it easier for him to finally take over. Now, one of Princess Celestia's students, Solar Eclipse, must find a way to end this, or else all hopes are lost for Equestria. Will King Sombra succeed? Or will the princesses find a way to seal him away forever?
