Turnabout Princess (Phoenix Wright x MLP)

"Witness! Name and Occupation!" Franziska Von Karma's voice bellowed throughout the courtroom as her whip cracked on her desk.

"How dare you flash that whip at me?!" Mrs. Harshwhinny asked, offended by Franziska's habit of using her whip in the process of a trial.

"How dare you defy me!!!" Franziska shot back. "I said name and occupation!"

"I am Harshwhinny. Mrs. Harshwhinny. I am an inspector for the Equestria Games." Mrs. Harshwhinny said.

"And this foolish fool Phoenix Wright thinks that you were kidnapped and held hostage, correct?" Franziska continued.

"That is correct. I was held hostage....by her!" Mrs. Harshwhinny exclaimed pointing at Cadance.

"WHAAAAAAAAAT?!" Phoenix recoiled.

"You heard her Mr. Phoenix Wright." Franziska answered with a flick of her whip.

"Could the witness begin her testimony?" The Judge asked.

-The Kidnapper-

"It was June 10th. I was home alone after my idiot husband had to go file paperwork on this case. I heard a window break and went to investigate. I saw a flash of green light that startled me. Then the Crystal Princess herself was staring at me, her horn was glowing yellow. I fainted. I woke up in a dungeon, chained to the wall. I was rescued yesterday at 11:15 a.m."

"What a, erm, decisive testimony." Judge Harshwhinny laughed uncomfortably. "Mr. Wright your, umm, Cross-Examination?"

"Y-yea." Phoenix replied.

"It was June 10th. I was home alone after my idiot husband had to go file paperwork on this case."

"Why was you husband working on this case?" Phoenix questioned.

"Why? WHY? Cause he's the idiot Judge up there!" Mrs. Harshwhinny replied. "He just haaad to run down to the courthouse the very second he heard about this case! He jumped on it faster than a-

"I move to have the witness continue her testimony!" Franziska said.

"Yes please..." The Judge asked semmingly nicer than usual.

"About this green light you saw." Phoenix started.

SMMMMACK. Franziska's whip threw across the room and hit Phoenix in the face.

"Ahhh. The famous  pointless questioning of every last detail of Phoenix Wright." Franziska started.

"If I may be aloud to continue." Phoenix replied rubbing his cheek. "I can prove it is relevant!"

"Please continue then Mr.Wright." The Judge replied.

"Thank you." Phoenix agreed. "Now. There is one other instance in this case that a green light has come up! And the first time happened to be the Changeling Princess transforming! She even admitted to it! The defense moves to say that the witness saw Princess Larvia transforming into Princess Cadance  and this is where the flash of green light came from!"

"What?!" Franziska recoiled.

"That's right!" Phoenix said triumphantly. "I think we have our kidnapper!"

"W-why would she need a hostage!?" Franziska asked.

"Easy!" Phoenix answered. "Because she knew she didn't have a watertight alibi in the murder of Shining Armor! Remember what the witness stated earlier in her testimony about her husband, "He's the idiot Judge."!"

"Nooo!" Franziska wailed.

"Yes! Larvia was using this hostage's life as a bribe to win this trial. Under the guise as human prosecutor Manfred Von Karma Larvia threatened to kill the Judge's wife if Princess Cadance was found Not Guilty!" Phoenix said.

"Actually there is a big flaw in your logic Mr.Phoenix Wright. The Accused's alibi is in fact watertight." Franziska said as she started to recover. "As I look back at the court record, I see that there are only two things working in your favor: the fact that the accused disguised herself as my father, which trust me I myself will deal with.'

("I don't wish Franziska's whip on anyone." Phoenix thought.)

"And the green lights. But lights can be caused by anything. It is circumstantial!" Franziska exclaimed. "Unless you have proof that the both flashes of green light were in fact Larvia."

"SHIT!" Phoenix face planted his desk as he grabbed at the sides of his head. "I-it's over...there's no way I can prove that..."

"Phoenix." Princess Celestia said calmly.

"Oh it's you." Phoenix said. He had forgotten that Celestia was his Co-Council today due to Twilight being called to testify later in the trial.

"Phoenix I want you to give me the Magatama." Celestia said.

"Why?" Phoenix asked confused.

"Sometimes you need to look from another perspective." Celestia answered.

"Here." Phoenix's interest was peaked by her words. Celestia used the string the Magatama was on to put it around her neck. As she did her horn glew a brilliant yellow-gold. Her Hair seemed to have shifted.

"That's better." Celestia said in a voice a bit higher than normal. Phoenix knew this voice. He had heard it so many times before.

"CHIEF?!"

7:20 a.m.

Flash Sentry woke up in what he recognized as the inside of a wooden cart. "Trixie?"

"Close." answered a mares voice. "She sent me to find you and the Crystal Heart."

"So...who are you then?" Flash asked.

"My name is Sonata Tarot. Pleased to be of service."
