Star Blaze the Assassin

2 days later

'For 2 days now, me and Shining Star have been free from the wrecthed hell hole called New Life. With that awful place behind us, we are free to live our own lives. At least, we would be if not for the royal guards looking for us.In just a couple of days we went from free ponies to the most wanted ponies in Equestria. We decided to find the Canterlot Assassin's bureau to hide. But finding it is harder than we thought it would be.'

I cautiously peeked around the corner. Nopony was on the street. I quickly moved down the street to another alley. Somehow, me and Shining got seperated. My first priority is to find her before i find the bureau. I walked down the alley to the next street. When i got to the end, i saw somepony trying to steal something from an older stallion. Like the hero i want to be and without thinking, i rushed in to help him. I tackled the would-be thief to the ground. Frightened, the thief ran off.

"Thank you, young colt. If not for you, that holligan would have made off with my bags" the old stallion said.

" It's nothing, really" i said.

I looked down the street and saw a couple of guards heading my way. I started running in the other direction towards the closest alley. I ran down the alley to the next street. I turned down the street and ran a couple of blocks onto another street. I found an open trash can and jumped inside. I grabbed the nearby lid and put it on top.

The guards came around the corner and ran down the street past me. After about five minutes of waiting, i slowly lifted the lid and looked around. Seeing nopony around, i got out of the trash can and walked to the alley across the street. I then saw a couple of ponies wearing white hooded robes. Realizing that they were Assassins, i walked over to them. Upon seeing me, they ran off down the alley.

"Wait! i just want to talk to you!" i yelled after them. When i got to the end the alley, the Assassin ponies were nohere to be found. Disappointed, i walked back the way i came. I heard a couple of guards yelling from the street. I ducked behind a pile of trash. The guards ran past me without even stopping to looke for me. I got up and went to look for Shining Star when i bumped into the old stallion from earlier.

"Sorry, i wasn't looking at where i was going" i said.

" I wasn't paying attention either. Hey you're the colt from earlier. Now i can thank you properly, but first:introductions. My name is Rainy Day" Rainy said.

"My name is Star Blaze" I said.

"Star Blaze. That name sounds familiar. Would you by chance be related to Falling Star?" Rainy asked.

"Yes. He's my father" i said.

" So you must be here to continue your training then?" Rainy asked.

"Training? Are you an Assassin?" I asked.

"Yes i am an Assassin. In fact, i'm their Mentor. Now come with me, i need to show you something" Rainy Day said.

We walked into the building which had a bar on the first floor. We walked into the back room where he led me to a wall with a single candleabra on it. He pulled on it and the wall opened up like a door. We walked down the stairs into the basement. When we got to the bottom, he said "welcome Star Blaze to the Canterlot Assassin's bureau. From this room, we wage our war against the Templars." One of the Assassins came over to me.

"Hi. My name's Whirlwind and you must be Star Blaze. So nice to finally meet you" Whirlwind said.

"Thanks. I'm looking forward to continuing my training" i said.

"We look forward to making you an Assassin" Rainy Day said.

'And i look forward to becoming an Assassin. But i need to find Shining Star. I hope that she is safe, wherever she may be.'

3 months later

'I am closer than ever to becoming an Assassin. Rainy Day himself told me i may become the youngest Assassin ever. But there is still the fact that for three months, me and Shining have been apart and i'm no closer to finding her. I fear that she has been captured by the guards or worse, dead. I hope that oi find her soon so that i may put these fears to rest.'

"Star Blaze, come on. Today's a special day for you" Whirlwind said.

"It's 'the' day already?" i asked.

"No it's not 'that' day, but it's important nonetheless" Whirlwind said.

We walked out into the alley where Rainy Day was waiting for us.

"Today my little pony, you will recieve the weapon that Assassins have relied on for centuries: the hidden blade" Rainy Day said.

He walked over to me and i held out my left hoof. He put the hidden blade on. I tried out the hidden blade. "So fast and deadly. Just one strike will deliver instant death" i said.

"Yes but be careful when unleash it because ponies will see you" Rainy said.

Another Assassin walked up to Rainy Day and whispered sopmething in his ear. "Thank you" Rainy told him.

"Star Blaze, i have good news and bad news. Good news is, we found your sister. Bad news is, so have the city guard" Rainy said.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go get her out of there" i said.

"We can't just charge in without a plan" Rainy said.\

"And what you do?" i asked.

"Assess the situation" Rainy said walking to who knows where. We walked a couple miles when we saw a sight that nearly caused me to start killing ponies left and right. They had Shining Star ready to hang until dead.

"This pony has been accused of the crimes of arson and murder in the first degree, and has been found guilty of all crimes. Her sentence is hang by the neck the neck until dead" the official said.

"They're about to kill her Rainy. We have to do something now" i whispered urgently.

"I know. But those guards will kill you before you can get to her. What you need is a distraction" Rainy Day said.

"On it" Whirlwind said. He flew up to the captain of the guards and spit in his face.

"Get him. He'll hang with the filly!" the captain said.

"Now's your chance. Get up there and kill the executioner before he pulls the lever" Rainy said.

I made my way through the crowd and up the platform. I snuck up behind the executioner and killed with the hidden blade. The official was so scared he jumped off the platform and ran away. I cut down Shining and cut her bindings. I helped her up and gave her the biggest hug i could ever give. "I'm so sorry that i left you alone. I promise i won't ever leave you alone again" I said with tears in my eyes.

Whirlwind came down and told us" We got to get out of here." We got up and ran with Whirlwind towards the safety of the bar.The guards were soon behind us giving chase. We turned the corner and turned down an alley and then turned again. We ran through an open shop door and ran into the alley. We ran down the alley and turned onto the street. We then ran till we got to Rainy Day's bar. We went down into the bureau and once we were down there did we breathe a sigh of relief.

"Big Brother, is this the bureau thingy that Dad always went on about?" Shining asked.

"Yes, Shining. It is. Welcome home, sis" i said.

'After three long months, me and Shining are finally back together. I promise to never let anything bad happen to my sister ever again.'
