A horrid and painful noise echoed in Scootaloo’s head like a train’s horn blowing inside her head. She woke up sweating in her blankets. Placing a hoof over her beating heart, Scootaloo breath in to slow down the speed in her heart.
Shuffling over to the right inside the blankets, Scootaloo picked up a picture frame from the desk positioned near the bed. In the picture was her deceased father and he was holding her in his forelegs, as he smiled at the camera.
A day doesn’t go by when Scootaloo wish he was still alive, but every time she did. She would wake up like this, sweating. She would still find the place dull and non life without him here. I wish you was here daddy. She thought to herself, hugging the frame tightly as the tears began to fall from her eyes.
A thud sound interrupted her happy thoughts with her father. After a moment of silence, Scootaloo heard muffled rough voice coming from the kitchen. Placing the frame down, Scootaloo quietly got off the bed and tip toed in the hallway until she was near the steps.
Millions of thoughts ran through her mind as she stood at the steps. Was it an intruder looking for money? Or was she dreaming and her father came back from the dead to come home? The sound of her beating her interrupted her thoughts as she took the first step down.
Then she kept trotting downstairs until she was staring at the intruding eating a bowl of cereal? Scootaloo opened her mouth and she did the most stupidest thing a scared one would do in a solution like this: She spoke. “Ummm, hello?”
The intruder quickly turned around at the sound of the filly’s voice, surprising him. Revealing to be a stallion with a five o'clock shadow on his face. The two stared at each other for a while not knowing what the other would do
. After a moments of silence and stillness, the stallion broke the cold silence with a chuckle. “No, need to afraid of me little lady.” He got up off from his chair and began to trot towards.
Seeing the stallion getting closer to her, Scootaloo backed away from him everytime he got too close. “I don’t know who you are. Or I don’t trust you so back off!”
Sitting back down on the stool, the stallion turned around and resumed eating the cereal. “You know I was one of the workers you father used to work with.”
Scootaloo shrugged. “So? That don’t mean you can come in my house and eat my bucking cereal!”
“I was hungry.” The stallion said. “My name is Blue Slate and I’m a stallion of science!” He said proudly puffing his chest.
A chuckle escaped Scootaloo’s mouth which she quickly covered with her hooves then cleared her throat. “So you used to work with my father big deal. But that mean I should trust you, you could be a bad guy or something!”
Blue Slate pulled out a small note from his pocket and slid it across the table to Scootaloo. “Guess you shouldn’t have trusted your father.”
Scootaloo snatched the note from the table and looked at the stallion, unsure whether she would trust him or not. “Go on read it.” He ordered, pointing a hoof to the small note.
Scootaloo unfolded the note and saw big black bolded words written on there. Confusion was what Scootaloo felt right now, maybe he was playing a joke on her? Or maybe there was something behind the phrase. “I don’t understand.”
Blue Slate finished the last chunk of cereal from the bowl that is now empty. He got up from his chair and trotted to the front door. Opening the door, he stopped to look at Scootaloo. “Maybe some childhood videos would help.” He said before closing the door.
Scootaloo stood at the front door, wondering what he meant. Shrugging it off, Scootaloo trotted up to to her room and closed the door behind her. Setting the note on her desk, Scootaloo flopped on the bed and buried her face inside the pillow as she let sleepover take her.
“What you think this means?” Scootaloo asked, as Apple Bloom examined the note she had gave her.
Apple Bloom shrugged and gave the note to Sweetie Belle to look at. “Ah can’t read what it says. Just some weird code thing.”
“Yeah Apple Bloom right Scootaloo. Just some weird code thing I can’t figure out.” Sweetie Belle gave Scootaloo the note back and sat beside her. “So we going to do some crusading today?”
Scootaloo shook her head. “Some stallion came here and told me this had something to do with my father.” Something told her that she had to find out about this or it will haunt her for the rest of her life. “Also it just says “Would you kindly” I don’t know what it means about I want to know.”
Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle gave her this weird look as they stared wide eyed at her. “What?”
“Meh and Sweetie Belle couldn’t figure it out about you can?” Apple Bloom tapped a hoof on her chin as she sat in thought.
Sweetie Belle giggled. “I think your father was just a gentle cot and didn’t want to show it so he put in code. Like “Scootaloo, would you kindly knock over thar picture frame.” A sound of glass shattering in on the floor after being knocked down
Sweetie Belle’s laughter stopped as she stared at the broken picture on the frame. If she would squint her eyes a little bit, a small folded up note slid out the frame. “Scootaloo, there’s something on floor.”She said, pointing a hoof to the note.
Scootaloo snapped out of her mental state and picked the note up from the floor, surrounded by broken shards. She began reading what was written out loud.
Ponyville Library. Videotapes in the B section. Must keep hidden from them.
Scootaloo put the note down on her lap and stared at the wall, silently. Who was them? Why did he hide it in Twilight’s place? The more Scootaloo found out about her father secrets. The more how she saw her father began to change. Her thoughts were interrupted as a knock came from the front door.
A brown pegasus with a black mane with a candle as a cutie mark stood at the door. “Scootaloo, I just came here to say your friend’s sisters are here to pick them up.” She informed, looking down at the floor. She noticed the broken frame laying on the floor.
She closed her eyes and shook her head. “Scootaloo, please be more careful with you stood.”
“Yeah.” Scootaloo picked the frame and placed it back where it was on the desk. “Sorry mom.”
“Bye Scootaloo! Bye Red!” Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom exclaimed as they ran out the room to meet with their sisters downstairs.
“Hey, mom?”
“Hmm?”
Scootaloo looked at her mom. Should she tell her? What would she think about dad after this? Would she do to her? Shaking her head, Scootaloo sighed. “Nothing.”
“I’ll call you when dinner is ready.” Scootaloo responded with a nod then sat back down on her bed. Red kissed her daughter on the head before leaving the room.
Taking one more look at the note, Scootaloo crumbled it up and threw it into the trash. “One trip to the library to see what you been hiding dad.”
Throwing books onto the floor and making a pile of them, Scootaloo finally found the videotapes her father hid from her. “You got a VCR?”
Twilight nodded her head. “Yes it’s over there, but I understand why you need—” She was interrupted as Scootaloo ran to the VCR and placed one of the videotape inside. The screen shut onto showing a small orange foal playing with a black coat stallion. “There’s gotta be something in here he’s hiding.”
Scootaloo began skipping the timeline on the video, trying to find a clue to what he’s hiding.
“Scootaloo, you don’t put that in your mouth. That’s for—”

“Scootaloo, say ahhh. Come on say it for—”

On this video, Scootaloo appeared to be older than on the previous ones. Her father was handing her a piece of paper on the desk she was sitting on. “
Scootaloo, I want you to finish this essay.”
“Why! Can’t I go out and play like the normal fillies!?”
“If you finish this essay first.”
Scootaloo watched closely as that Scootaloo in the video began writing the something on the paper. Moments later, she threw the pencil in frustration. “It’s too hard! I give up!”
He picked the pencil off from the floor and placed it back down on Scootaloo’s desk. “Come on, try one more time.”
“No, I don’t wanna!”
“Please?”
Scootaloo crossed her forelegs and shook her head. “No, doing essays is boring!”
A sigh escaped her father’s mouth as he gave up. Scootaloo could see the pain in his eyes took the paper and pencil off the desk. “Go out and play.”
“Yaaaay!” Scootaloo jumped off the chair and ran outside, then the video ended.
“These videos not telling me anything!”Scootaloo took out the video and put another in the VCR and pressed the play button. The screen came onto her father and Scootaloo, but a little more older than last time doing the same thing.
“Scootaloo, please write me an essay.” He asked, handing Scootaloo the paper. But much to his surprised, Scootaloo just sat and stared at the paper. Not moving a muscle in the chair she sat in. “Please?”
“We’ve been through this two years ago, dad. I said no!”Scootaloo pushed the paper and pencil on the floor. “Don’t you understand I would never be the filly you want me to be!”
Her father had a painful look on his face as he reached down to pick the paper up and place it back on the desk.
Scootaloo felt herself getting anger at how she treated her dad in the video. “Come on, don’t listen to that stupid head, dad!” She shouted at her dad in the TV. “You don’t let her—” She stopped as she saw her dad mouth moving meaning he was speaking. So she turned up the volume.
“Scootaloo, would you kindly do this easy for me?” Without hesitation or back talk like before. Scootaloo pick the pencil up and began writing down the answers to the questions until she was finished and handed her father paper again. “Good girl.”
Then the video shut off. Scootaloo was amazed and somewhat still confused by her sudden action/ Why was she back talking before and then just do the essay without no problem? Why did those words hurt Scootaloo’s mind as he said them?
Shaking her thoughts off, Scootaloo took out the video and placed the last one in. The screen shut on to her father sitting down near the table with a empty plate placed in front of him. While Scootaloo was cooking something in the pan.
“Scootaloo, would you kindly make sure those pancakes are cooked right?”
“Yes father.”
There are those words again and that weird behavior. Getting angst to find out more about what her father was doing, Scootaloo began skipping the timelines in the video quickly.
“Scootaloo, would you kindly—”

“Scootaloo, would you kindly get me that newspaper on the floor?”
The remote dropped onto the floor as Scootaloo began backing away from the table muttering “no” over and over again.
“Scootaloo,what’s wrong?” Twilight trotted to Scootaloo and placed a hoof on Scootaloo’s shoulder. “Can you tell me.”
Tears stained Scootaloo's face as she came to realize what her father did to her. He mind controlled with a simple phrase. Getting herself together, Scootaoo wiped the tears away from her eyes and stood up from the floor. "Erase it."
"Excuse me?"
"The memory of my father, everything. The moments when I was a baby to a kid. Erase all of it." Scootaloo repeated with a frown. "It's the only the code will get out of my head. Please, Twilight."
Twilight stood there, her thoughts flooding her mind. What should she do? Should erase the memories of her father to break the code or should she keep them to keep him alive. Either way, Scootaloo would still be in pain. With her decision sealed, Twilight trotted up to Scootaloo. "I'm not doing it."
"What, but---"
"I'm not erasing the memories of your father." Twilight interrupted. "I'm sure we'll find another way to figure this out, okay?" Scootaloo responded with a nod. "Good, now let's go out for a cup of hot coco."
Scootaloo smiled. She didn't know how she's going to figure this whole thing out, but she had the ponies she cared about her willing to help no matter what. As they left the library and shut the door behind them, the wind blow the her father note in the air. Revealing a small words in printed on it.

In a cold and dark place underneath the ocean, was Rapture. Where neither law or god can questioned the man’s decisions. The man can make his own decisions and learn from the mistakes. A tall man with a brown striped suit paced around in anger. “Is she ready yet doctor?”
A stallion in a white coat shook his head. “No, the subject seems to be unstable.”
“What do you mean, Doctor Statesman?” At this point, Andrew Ryan was furious. Subject pegasus was failing on him and he wasn’t going to waste top dollar something that’s maybe dead. “Start over.”
“Excuse me sir?”
Andrew Ryan put his arm on the table and shoved the things onto the floor, shattering it into pieces.“I said start over! Or else you want me to stop finding the cure for you?”
The stallion shook his head. “Please, don’t sir! I want to be normal again!”
Adrew smirked. The stallion wasn’t really one, he used to be a human up until the plasmids that was supposed to give you the strength of a stallion turned him into one. Ryan knew he wanted to be normal again so he used that against him. “Then throw this thing out.”
“It’s—I mean her name is Scootaloo sir.” He corrected him with a shutter.
Ryan rolled his eyes and began to walk away. “When I come back it better be dead and that trigger phrase working!” He called out to him.
Statesman turned over to the right in his chair. He looked at the small orange pegasus floating in the tube filled with water, wires were pludged into her body.
She had his blood in her, Ryan used his dna when he turned and morphed her into a small filly. It was only a matter of weeks she aged into a filly. Statesman trotted to the tube and placed a hoof glass then sighed. “I don’t wanna kill you, Scootaloo.”
“You don’t have to.” Statesman jumped at the sound of a caring and lovely. Turning around, he saw a white alicorn appeared in the middle of his lab. “I can take you somewhere you’ll be safe from Ryan.”
Statesman didn’t reply or move. He just stared in fear. “Let me help you, Statesman. You and Scootaloo can be around ponies like you. You have my word.”
“Where? Who are you?” He asked, backing away from the mare. “What are you!?”
"I'm Princess Celestia and I'm here to help you."
Was she really going to help him? He wanted to be human, but he knew Ryan was lying to him about the cure. Scootaloo meant the world to him and he didn’t want her to wake up inside a tube.
He got up from the floor and began pressing buttons on the tube.Smoke began coming out of the tube as Scootaloo was released from inside and fell into his forelegs. “I’ll do it. I’ll go with you.”
Celestia smiled as her horn began to light up, a yellow magical aura sourded Statesman and Scootaloo. Then they was gone in a bright flash and Statesman made his new life in Ponyville with Scootaloo.
The moments when he met another scientist and told him his secrets. He met with a mare at his birthday thrown by Pinkie Pie and soon they fell in love after that. He told her he had a daughter, but not about Rapture or Ryan.
He stared at the filly sleeping in her bed and smiled. “You’re going to become successful when you grow up. “ Lifting Scootaloo’s foreleg, small words in printed in her skin made Statesman frowned. He needed to work on the phrase no matter what.
In a matter of months, the plasmids made him insane making him forget his promise and used the phrase on Scootaloo.
