"You're insane, but I love you for it"

I stand on a rooftop the next day, feeling the wind caressing my face and mane. I never had this freedom in the factory. There were no windows...and just one door.

That was called the exit.

"Hey Bloodwing"
I swear I jumped out of my skin, almost falling from the rooftop.
"Bloody hell, Daren. Hello to you too"
He chuckles. I can see his pointed canines that protrude his lips when he laughs.
"I have something to tell you"

I'm immediately worried. What if we're done...what if I have a death sentence...what if...

"I got mail today...we're invited to a two-day trip to the Rainbow Factory"
The Rainbow Factory.
Where your fears and horrors come true.
Where I changed.
Where everything changed.
I sighed and shook my head.
"I can't go, Daren...I suffered the consequences"
"What? You have to go...I depend on your skill, Bloodwing!"
I sigh. I can risk going back.
"Alright...but I get to operate the machines.
"Okay..."

We are silent for a while. I think of the time when my colour was drained, and how my cutie mark was severed. I think of my accidents, and my unexplained 'skill' of defeating an opponent without looking.

I can't tell him right now.

But he'll know what happened when we get there...
"Okay Bloodwing. I'm going to blow up the machinery..."
"You can't blow it up, that's suicide"
"N-"
It is definitely suicide.

"Daren, you don't understand. I've seen everything. You didn't work there, you didn't get hurt, you didn't see your family die before you because i..."
I didn't say the rest, the past was too depressing. I shake my head. "Nevermind..."

Yet I want to blow up that horrid factory.

"So...I'll see you tomorrow then..." he says, looking a little pained. Before he goes, I kiss him, and whisper, "I want to warn you that I change within the atmosphere of that factory..." Another wingboner appears.
His voice lowers aswell. "Is that supposed to arouse me, Bloodwing?"
I chuckle. Well...
"Mm...maybe"
I wink at him and fly off. He's kidding...right?

Despite all of this...I'm going to the Factory.
